Kashif ![]() The bodies of course.I have been looking for more issues to help me with my study for project management but there seems to be nothing what is happening. I get the impression that there are not enough experienced project managers in Nigeria. Abi I lie |
Orisdude:PRINCE2 (2009 version) focuses solely on teaching the Themes(iterative components of project management) and Processes(structured set of project activities ) for management of projects but like most methodlogies cannot be biased to use of any project management tool and so for this reason cannot recommend any specific project management tool for planning projects. PRINCE2 Training sessions are in gereral delivered exclusive of project management tool training as that can take at least 2 days for students to get enough practice. |
@angeleses Do not waste your time with the guy. Just ignore him. Empty barrels always make the loudest noise. I wonder why anyone would think that I should have to bring a dictionary with me to read a note on a forum. Unnecessary show off. Please impress the court judge with your old school english. Judge might not even be impressed self. |
How many of you are actually watching the news to see what is happening with the UK and American economy . Do you know why the 2 countries are going into recession . Are you aware that a lot of Nigerians are moving back to Nigeria and are finding work and doing well. Some of you are not actually looking at things from a wholistic point of view. You become so emotional talking about corruption The difference between the western world and Nigeria is the fact that we are not discreet about corruption. Corruption and politics go together in any economy, and it affects the ordinary people in the western world it just takes a lot longer to be discovered and is experienced significantly for a very longtime. Look at donations for elections in the Uk or US. Look at the handout of contracts and how they fail on implementation . I can go on and on. Some of you need to watch and monitor the news of UK and US before you start ranting unnecessarilyNigeria is no worse than a lot of the western countries. Once Yaradua enforces due process and all the government parastatals become dependent on technical infrastructure, then accountability can be traced. People will then become a lot more cautious. The major problem now is that fraud is difficult to trace at the moment but that is sure to change. The longer you stay in the western world and keep tabs on what is really going on in the US/UK where you live you then find out that Nigeria is not as bad. The truth is we Nigerians are so ignorant that we wash our dirty laundery outside. It is like someone having AIDS and then the child going out to advertise it. The only people in the world who portray this attitude are we Nigerians. In this world there will always be leaders and followers . if it bothers you so much do something about it and stop slandering the name of your mother land. I LOVE NIGERIA . IF NOT FOR NIGERIA A LOT OF US WILL NOT BE ON THIS FORUM. IF IT IS SO BAD WHY ARE OTHER AFRICAN COUNTRIES SCALLING OUR BOARDER TO COME THERE. WHY ARE OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES COMING TO ESTABLISH THEMSELVES THERE AND WILL NOT LEAVE . PLEASE NIGERIA THOUGH COMPLEX IS A GREAT COUNTRY |
contrary to your assumption . Most people who left Nigeria now want to go back . if you have true friends that will tell you the truth of what is happening in the UK and US to black people and Nigerians specifically you will think twice before trying to travel out. Nigeria's is learning the hard way to rule it's own people even the US and America had to learn as well. The world has developed at such a significant rate that Nigeria will be forced to change. Change is no longer negotiable. My advise to anyone going to the UK or US is to get all the detailed facts before travelling if not you will find yourself disappointed, putting up a straight face and lying whenever your people call you from Nigeria. NIGERIAN INDEPENDENCE WAS NEVER A MISTAKE, NEVER lai lai. |
Look our problem is not that we are corrupt we just do not know how to be discreet when stealing and worst of all we boast about it. In America and the Uk there are big boys that put their children into power and then during a drink at the bar or duriing a round of golf on the course the big boy will tell the child to award him a contract worth millions with a promise to compensate him. In Nigeria on the other hand we will the child in power will dip his hand in the federal purse without covering his tracks. One thing we must remember is that there is hope as the judicial system is getting a lot mire transparent than in the past and we pray the future will hold better things. We just need to learn the modern methods of politics which we are lacking |
Revolution my backside. You all should open your eyes. We have 2 new educated leaders that can stand up for our country. Look I am not happy that there were irregularities during the elections but I am so happy with Yaradua and Goodluck because they are educated men. Please let us move forward. See dem sef, if dem talk say make una get ready for war now, na una go be the first to escape through the Nigerian border . Abegee make we hear word |
I am glad that for the first time in Nigerian history we will have a president and vice president that are educated. The process of the elections might be debatable but as someone earlier said there is no credible evidence to prove irregularities. I think we should all keep in mind the fact that there is going to be a complete change in the power circle of Nigeria once the new president is sworn in , because their education/age sets a precedence which will be used as a criteria for being in such positions and this will filter down the chain of power. Yaradua/Goodluck will try as much as possible to defend their integrity to ensure that no one compares their rulership to that of all the uneducated goons we have had in the past and so they would like to be seen as being very innovative and interlectuals. This also ensures that the US and UK cannot try to bully our leaders because they would realise that they are not talking to idiots. The western world is very afraid of an educated black man especially if he is a Nigerian. I think this is a good thing for Nigeria and I would suggest that a lot of you who are professionals abroad had better start planning to go home because I see Nigeria re-establishing itself as the Giant of Africa economically. I see a few governors getting removed within 2 years of being on seat as well if they do not perform. If you think I am being over optimistic, just watch and see |
Lephillipe and Bankole01, I read your comments and think it is very unfair for you to sit wherever you are and gengeneralize Nigerians as having no culture for maintenance. The truth is if we did not have that culture Nigeria will be worse than Somalia or Zimbabwe now. Our people will do something if they know how to do it themselves. Our main problem is lack of free access to information to aid maintenance which is currently available and being exploited by the rich. The countries in the west took years to get where they are so do not think that when a pledge is placed it is going to happen that same week. Our people do not have patience yes but do not belittle our people with your talk because you have had a test of development in the western world. The people who left the western world with ideas and went to Nigeria to implement them do you now want to call them stupid. These same people would have to empemploy Nigerians to work for them or would they not ? Abeg abeg abeg abeg abeg do not talk bad about our people. Is it not the same people that when they go abroad know how to maintain things. I am tired of hearing such negative words on forums.A nuclear plant will be the start of great things . There will be steady supply to manufacturing companies i.e the steel companies . This will then facilitate the reduction in price of a lot of commodities since the overheads from using generators will be cut down. It might be a long way off but it will happen. I meet a lot of Africans all the time that respect our economy (though they might hate our courage and drive) and the fact that we always find a way to make Nigeria stay on top in Africa . If you believe that the culture does not exist why not start by educating your own immediate people about better maintenance. Abeg make I hear word |
You people should stop spreading propaganda. The man went for a medical check up and is not in coma. |
I think it is a good thing to have the coins back and if God blesses Nigeria we will get to use them again |
If Ibori can be cleared by EFCC then Obasanjo will definitely be declared innocent. I bet you OBJ initiated this probe as part of his plan. |
ITIL is a worth while certification to have if an organisation has multiple platforms and its infrastructure undergoes an enourmous amount of change. I am unsure if it is used in Nigeria at all because there are not many organisations that meet this criteria. In summary ITIL is a process of managing and improving service delivery . You can go into service management with certification of this nature. This is more about being customer focused and proactive than being technical. You will need to have basic all round IT knowledge as well. You can get info from www.itil.co.uk. You will have a better chance over other candidates when applying for a project management or IT management role CFA (Certified financial analyst) now that is an area which I would leave for the business oriented people to advice you on. |
It is a sin . plain and simple and the bible and Quran sais so . Case closed |
The project management certifications accepted around the world vary. In the UK the recognised Project management certification is Prince2 while in America it is PMI. |
He is not getting his way, so he'd rather see Nigeria burn. Simple as that. The comment above is quite similar to a saying in hausa which goes "A sa ni ko atashi" Which translated in broken means "If una no put me for the game I go scatter am". I believe Atiku is working on this principle and this is evident considering the manner in which he is prostituting himself to the world as a whistle blower. What kills me is that he does not understand that with what he is doing no one in government can trust him. He is definetely a security risk. I am tired of seeing the same names in the newspapar, we definetely need a change of government. All those old boys need to go cause they are playing outdated politics. |
Can anyone give me an insight into what this is all about ![]() |
My people, When I check the news everyday all I read about in the news is Uduaghen,PDP,Ibori, what are all the other parties and aspirants in Delta state doing. Will the the national PDP overrule the decision to replace Uduaghen as proposed by the stakeholders of Delta state. Trust me the power brokers in Nigeria are watching the elections in that state very closely as I heard because whoever rules that state has a lot of clout in the government. Abeg make una yan me wetin de ![]() |
