Whoever deliberately takes the life of another human being should not get to keep theirs. This is what the law should actually say and be seen to accomplish |

So this guy, caught with a firearm, will be transported to the court with tax payers money, waste the time of the judge and police hopefully be convicted and jailed then housed with tax payers money, me and you reading this will pay for his feeding and protection until he leaves jail. There's a basic fundamental flaw in our acceptable norms that govt has embraced. We shouldn't be spending tax payers money on criminals. If this system we are practicing worked, crime would actually be on the decrease but we all know the rate of crime today. The shit we are practicing ain't working |

There just too much hate, disrespect and distrust in this country. Everything has a political undertone. The Dot Nation, the north face, why not just f**king split the property so there will be geographical cohesion which is more likely to bring peace? |

Someone made a promise Someone reminded him of his promise. Gbam! The guy sending the reminder is expelled for reminding the promise maker of his own promise. This country is irredeemable. To consider that this whole nonsense happened in a citadel of higher learning is more saddening. When education especially higher education is supposed to open your mind, those in charge of it in Nigeria have a closed mind and can't be said to be truly educated. A reasonable governor who is mature in character would wade in and ask the student to be reinstated but tueh, this place called Nigeria has very few people who are sound in character and resolve. Very few. 7 Likes |

Daveambition: Ur sense no go lailai diminish. This is the same question I was about asking. The boy killed bandits that the police couldn't kill and now he's arrested. The laws we follow were probably made by evil men who empower the police to hold you when you seek justice that the wouldn't give. |

Talk is cheap. Everything is futuristic, nothing is present. Start doing these things before announcing to us. Naija govt always has plans to do something, they never actually do unless it will cage citizens and take the country backwards. Make una change. |

It is antithetical to common sense to think that the holder of such coveted Office as the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice will stoop to what was printed by the media. The Government does not operate in secrecy as it is not a clandestine operation. Hence, Malami discharges his constitutionally recognized mandates in compliance with principles of transparency, openness and accountability." It's funny to read this part of this nonsense statement. You ask the public to disregard such huge revelation when in the past the AGF has actually stooped lower than this, the current govt actually has many 9arts operating in secrecy and appears like a clandestine operation. When there are many examples of Malami wrongfully discharging his duties beyond his constitutionally recognized mandates and without accountability. Who are these pathetic people disgracing themselves? One keeps asking if this is the best Nigerian govt can offer. It appears govt is actually heaped on the shoulders for mediocres and outright liars these days. 1 Like |

The state government revealed that the ban is necessary after security reports show that bandits are planing to use motorcycles to carry out attacks in the state So why is the police not following up the intelligence report? Àbi somebody just sat in his office and produced report ni? Once you have Intel you already have a trace. Anyway why won't criminals keep perpetrating crime when there's no history of arrests and prosecution to serve as deterrents? Govt just wakes up and bans something that is livelihood for a huge population. Whje we are ready for serious, hard, practical, long term, solutions to our problems, we will put our brains to work. We too like easy, mediocre solutions |

Kingof2nations: International politics is full of deception. Nobody to carry ur matter for head just for the sake of helping you if they have nothing to benefit. |

buckeyemedia: First you need to understand some of us don't have mediocrity stamped in our brains. So having said Nigeria failed us because we have bigger dreams doesn't necessarily mean my life is failed or I have a failed existence. I understand many ppl cannot have a meaningful conversation without calling names when another person 3xpresses a divergent view. Learning to be respectful and objective is a choice and because I want a better country not full of mediocrity like Nigeria which you believe in so much. I wish you Goodluck in keeping Nigerias lands intact for yourself and Ur future generation. For me, this country that has been together for over 100 years has nothing new to offer. If u believe in it, it's fine, ur choice. If u say those of us who want a better country for ourselves are chasing shadows, well its ur opinion. Please chase what is real to u, let us keep chasing shadows and maybe one day your mind will also become so illuminated that you will understand it wasn't shadows that werr being chased but the real deal but because there's too much darkness over the land you thought it was shadows. |

buckeyemedia: OH so it's now a jargon theory? What we have in Nigeria today shouldn't even be called a government. Not to call it a federal republic. Mind u, nobody has to "give" half plot of land in Lagos or anywhere else. Where and when that decision will be made, it won't be just words and bits typed from a keyboard on a smartphone. You don't have the authority to decide who gives or who stops the takers from taking the land. So let's say as much as you wish no one would give the land, it's not within your power to decide that. |

buckeyemedia: You tell me. If Nigeria hasn't failed u enough, some of us that have bigger dreams know for sure how much it has failed us and how it is futile to keep living the lie that it will ever work. Before Nigeria something existed and after Nigeria something will exist. Who will create the country out of Nigeria isn't the right question. The right question is why we should keep maintaining Nigeria when it already has all the signs of a failed state. |

buckeyemedia: The question you should ask is under what law were the inhabitants of various lands in Southwest merged to be part of the southern protectorate that was later merged with the northern protectorate. Now Nigeria suddenly owns these lands and the original owners can't have it back because they are bound by Nigerian Constitution which was made in 1999? Or the earlier versions? Before the constitution came to be, these lands were governed so the constitution isn't the genesis. Order existed even before the constitution got its own power. |
![]() |
codemaniacs: My point is even if VGC or VI or Epe was the capital, it doesn't negate the fact that it belongs to a part of the country which is southwest. If the capital was Imo state and a Nigeria breaks, Imo becomes part of Biafra and will no longer be Nigeria. Moreover the laws of Nigeria will not be binding on another country created out of Nigeria. |

buckeyemedia: Don't mix things up. Even if Lagos was the capital of Nigeria, it didn't exist in space. Lagos is in South West. Calabar also has history but it has a geographical location. So don't mix these things up. Lagos is in southwest sir. If you want to ask about the money that was used in developing Lagos it won't change the geographical location from southwest to Central Nigeria or North Central. MIND U, THE POWER TO ADMINISTER LAND IS VESTED IN STATE GOVERNORS NOT FG. |

BlackFlamefromP: Nigeria can't work because we all have no will to join hands together. We cannot work together after trying and failing woefully for 100+ years. Don't let the fear of the unknown stop you from charting a course for the future. That said, many states depend on FG but you should answer only one question. Where does FG get money from? Without FG those monies mostly would have gone to different regions instead of one centre that has woefully failed to properly manage the wealth placed in its hands. 1 Like |

Some ppl will just open their mouth wá and spew nonsense. If Lagos can pay and Lagos is part of Southwest and the same Lagos money is being used to fund many of the 35 other states, wouldn't Lagos be able to better channel the monies to fewer southwest states? That said, with the breakup, other southwest states will better look onwards instead of waiting for FG allocation monthly which is a sign of governors bereft of ideas. I wonder how he directs the affairs of Ìwọ with the abundance of poorly thought out speeches he usually makes. |

This is not the time to abuse them or call them evil. This time to get their phone numbers, whatsapp contacts, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter handles and bug them every single day about the need to repeal this law. Abuse won't work. Pressure does. Let's get their contact details please and let your representatives get your call. Wherever they go in the society, let them see the messages. Let them get calls, online posts, letters, SMS. You will see change |

lastempero: My explanation isn't just about 2015 and 2019. It's beyond that. In 2019 the rigging was massive because of the same fact. |
![]() |
DDDEnterprises: Not voting at all is worse than voting for the opposition because your unused ballot paper is what makes rigging and election easier than it should be. Since you didn't vote, it's easy to get any idiot in one room to use your unused ballot papers until it's close to the total accredited voters. No one should be proud to say they didn't vote. All things considered, it's even better to vote for an opposition. 2 Likes |

Why do elders sound unreasonable sometimes? Let's change the constitution but if the people who swear to uphold the constitution, enforce it and review it are still these crop of Nigerian politicians, nothing will change. Just like the arrival of a new boss makes everyone to sit tight until they understand him, the arrival of new nations, with new structures and new political enthusiasts will at least align every citizen to sit tight waiting for the new direction to go. That alone is a foundation for new and better things and it cannot happen with the so-called restructuring or constitution review. Stop deceiving yourselves old men. The future is for the youths you've lived in the past until now. 3 Likes 1 Share |

A sitting governor cannot say otherwise. How do you expect him to say publicly that he supports. Anyway, the fact that a governor doesn't support the self determination cause doesn't mean his people aren't asking for it. Listen to your people |
