A 36-year-old hairdresser, Adeola Fabiyi, told an Abeokuta customary court sitting in Ake, that her husband, Alfa Kasumu, used charm to marry her.

According to her, she couldn't explain how she moved into his house and became his wife.

Meanwhile, Kasumu, a muslim cleric, denied the allegation and said she is wayward. Adeola informed the court that it just dawned on her that her husband cast love spell on her when they met about 12 years ago through a friend who took her to his house when her hairdressing business was not booming.

The applicant added that Kasumu helped her by doing a charm that made the business flourish and customers started trooping into her shop.

" I remember vividly that a man was dating me and l was two months pregnant then, but as soon as l moved into Kasumu's house, the pregnancy disappeared". She claimed that after she lost the pregnancy, she could not conceive again, saying her husband married three other women shortly after she moved out of his house.

When asked how she realised that her husband used charm on her, Adeola responded that a close friend of Kasumu who was privy to the deed confessed to her.

The applicant therefore urged the court to dissolve the marriage and beg kasumu on her behalf to release her from bondage, so that she can bear children.

The respondent denied the allegation and told the court that Adeola is wayward and that's what is responsible for her inability to conceive.

He added that it was true that he had many wives, but he did not use charm to marry them. Meanwhile, the case was adjourned for further hearing.

manny4life: You should tell your local airlines to run their airlines "FIRST" with customers in mind and NOT profit in mind. Foreign airlines may not be the best, but when locals try to double up on profit, and service is POOR (keyword - poor service), then don't HATE on those exploiting it. Airline is not that easy to operate, it take expertise and patience to run an airline, Nigerian investors want quick turnaround, IT WILL NOT WORK. Until a healthy Nigerian competitors comes into the market, complaining will not solve the problem, besides, I thought Arik Air was a Nigerian airline? The airlines services almost ALL major routes or don't it ?

paris10: Hello doctor, whilst I appreciate your contributions to this post, I also offer my support to the @poster. I'd however love to draw everyone attention to this fact but very controversial theory.

I am not a conspiracy theorist but would certainly be labelled one at the end of this post. Most deadly diseases are created with the view to making profits on it cure (antidote). Now to the facts, the United states medical research institute and the Federal government science programmes are institutes created for experimentation with the view to achieving clear goals- getting rid of third world nations; using them as experiments and in-turn making profits from the monsters created.

HIV already has a cure. HIV wasn't first cited in Africa but in the US. It was experimented on a volunteering individual who later flew to Africa to infect people with it. This individual flew back to the US and had his HIV cured by the antidote produced within the institute. You want proof, my next post!

Other killer diseases were also transported to Africa, and now our govts are using billions of dollars to buy the cure from those that invented them in the first place. This is called marketing-strategy. We've been for far too long defrauded and believed to have this disease that is "incurable".

This is the new world order. Powers that controls the world. Powers that want to get rid of the "undesirables", we the Africans from the face of the earth. But for this to be accomplished, they have to sacrifice their own.

HIV antidote would be on the market in the next few years, and then a new deadly disease would be invented.

Now to the "we have to pray" thing, don't even bother. It either God cures you or you wait until the cure comes to the shelve.

And to the fraudsters who thinks we're all gullible Nigerians, we know them by names. Ayefele is still cripple!

i am not trying to knock their beliefs in terms of FAITH but I HAVE NEVER HEARD of anyone going through SLEEP PARALYSIS (including myself as someone who has had the experience many times) being able to TALK or yell aloud. Your entire body is relaxed. You cannot move but you are aware of your surroundings. I have made grunts and at times COULDN'T EVEN DO THAT!

How is it possible for you to be paralyzed and frozen but can recite biblical verses and yell names aloud? Come on this is not the exorcism nor a motion picture. It's reality.

Shan George knows she is cannon for controversies and is unapologetic about it. Recently too, a picture of Shan was posted on line where she was seen seemingly cavorting with the top Chelsea soccer star, Mikel Obi, leading to the speculation that she and Mikel wee dating. When asked, Shan was incredulous "This is really getting crazy. So I can't even have a drink with someone - just innocently, without being linked romantically with the person?

Mikel Obi is at a talented soccer player whose skills I appreciate. I am his big fan and when they won the Champions Cup last May, I was over the moon with excitement for him and his team mates. We met and had a drink in Lagos recently and that was that! Nothing romantic happened between us. I am not dating Mikel Obi and I hope some of these traffickers of lies can go have themselves some life."
