Foreign AffairsRe: Al-Qaeda's Tips On How To Avoid Drones by White007(m): 7:51am On Feb 23, 2013
In Vietnam during the late 60's, USAF dropped electronic sensors along the Ho Chi Minh trail and on forests in South Vietnam to detect enemy troop movements. That was known as the McNamara line. These sensors worked on motion and ammonia in human sweat to locate enemy troops for B52 attacks. The NVA countermeasures were simple. They drove a whole bunch of elephants and water buffaloes ahead of their convoys/troops. They hung plastic bags of human urine all over the forests. They sat back and watched B52 raids on empty forests. Today B52 bomb craters, which are 20 to 30 feet deep and 150 ft diameters, are nice ponds to raise catfishes, which are imported to the USA at dirt cheap price. Many American catfish farmers are driven out of business thanks to B52 raids 50 years ago. Isn't it interesting how the cycle of life works?

Foreign AffairsRe: What Do You Think Of Oscar Pistorious' Explanation? by White007(m): 1:03am On Feb 21, 2013
Where is the body of evidence? 1.) Neighbors heard shouting and arguing from the residence hours before fatal shooting. 2.) The gun holster was found on the victim side of bed which means he had to have known that she was not in bed. 3.) He had to go past her side of the bed to get to bathroom (Most people with guests in their home will check to see if it is the guest making the noise or wandering around in the home before shooting through a locked door) and finally 4.) The trajectory of bullets through door appeared to be at an upward/downward path which means he had on his prothetic legs.He stated that he didn't have them on. The body of evidence both forensics and circumstantial points that there was an argument between the two. She got up went to bathroom and locked door. He followed her with gun and shot into door in anger when she refused to come out. Guilty! This idiot should have known that if you shoot bullets through a closed door there is a high probability that the person inside the room is going to be struck by the bullet. This was gross negligence on his part and should be found guilty of first degree reckless homicide.

I don't need any proof for this dude, i lived in Europe for almost 12 years (padova, Italy) and i come in contact with some of this girls almost on a daily basis. I have heard their stories and travails. I also have male friends who are of Edo extract, some of them are even responsible for bringing this girls to Europe, they are known as (trawly).

I hate to say this, unfortunately they are Nigerians of which majority of them are Bini, Edo state. Like some one earlier said, it is what it is.

Majority of them swore to an Oath before embarking on this dangerous adventure. And they have to repay back huge amount of money ($50,000 - &70,000) to thier sponsors, usually in most cases Madames. Making them stop this mordern slavery of a business is almost an impossible task, cuz of the Oath they have taken.

Ever heard of of the word "uncut"? Which means they ain't refined yet and so would make it easy for any one to sell.
All they 'd do is go into one of this corrupt African countries, probably DRC or Sierra Leone, aqcuire the "Kimberly certificate" and they are good to go. It is as easy as that to sell an "uncut" diamond.

PoliticsBoko-Haram Kidnap French Family In Cameroon by White007(op): 2:38pm On Feb 19, 2013
YAOUNDE/DAKAR (Reuters) - Islamist militants from neighboring Nigeria abducted a French family of seven, including four children, in northern Cameroon on Tuesday, French President Francois Hollande said.

The risk of attacks on French nationals and interests in Africa has risen since France sent forces into Mali last month to help oust Islamist rebels occupying the country's north.

"They (French family) have been taken by a terrorist group that we know and that is in Nigeria," Hollande told reporters during a visit to Greece.

The men on motorcycles, armed with Kalashnikovs, intercepted the family in their car at 0700 GMT and forced them to drive to the nearby Nigerian border, an aide to the governor of the province told Reuters. The four-wheel-drive vehicle was later found abandoned.

Islamist radicals in northern Nigeria now pose the biggest threat to stability in Africa's top oil-producing state.

Western governments are concerned that Nigeria's Boko Haram Islamists may link up with groups elsewhere in a region with poorly secured borders, especially al Qaeda's North African wing AQIM given the conflict in nearby Mali.

The seven French nationals were abducted in Dabanga about 10 km (six miles) from the Nigerian border near the Waza national park, where they had spent the night in the extreme north of Cameroon, an area where Westerners often go for holidays.

The parents of the family, which included two boys and two girls as well as another relative, worked for French utility firm GDF Suez.

GDF, which is building a liquefied natural gas project in south Cameroon, confirmed one of its employees and his family had been kidnapped while on holiday.

Cameroon state radio reported that witnesses said the three adults had been separated from the four children and Cameroonian defense forces had been deployed to the area.

It was the first case of foreigners being seized in the mostly Muslim north of Cameroon, a former French colony.

"I see the hand of Boko Haram in that part of Cameroon. France is in Mali, and it will continue until its mission is completed," Hollande said.

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Appointed To Lead ECOWAS Mission To Mali by White007(m): 2:26pm On Feb 19, 2013
safarigirl: Who dem been wan appoint before?

We have the best military in West Africa, we sent the highest delegation...if dem no appoint Nigerian kasala go burst for camp, even ECOWAS people know how stubborn Nigerians are, if they're not recognised as leaders, they will make sure the leader doesn't have it easy.

And with the highest delegation, you wouldn't want to risk mutiny
FYI, Nigerian delegation ain't the highest in Mali, the Chadians are. So, i don't think the Nigerian was chosen b'cuz of that, rather we were chosen cuz we are probably the best for the assignment/ job and experience to boot.
