Thank goodness for people like you who will not allow "the war of minds" they are fighting against the rest of Nigerians to take roots.

django1: You are falling for his tricks, I must admit, the guy is a bit slick with his tribalism, you should check his history in the culture section though, he's as tribal as they come, believe me he wrote the names as he did on purpose.

With Sade Adu, Omarosa, Seal, Hakeem Olajuwon and chamillionare alone in Yoruba's corner, omo, no comparison! You just can't match those. These are household names in the USA.

2cato: Let see which tribe are more influncial outsid nigeria.

Those for Yoruba stand up and say nay.

Is he the highest public office holder of Nigerian descent? If no, why are the rest who have been in politics before him and have better chances of being the first and full black Nigerians not listed? Or is his campaign being kick started on nairaland?

Btw, if UK media is not flashing his picture, he might as well run as prime minister of biafra. Tall dream anyway!

Throughout his whole administration, not a single corrupt public official has been successfully prosecuted. All we hear is setting up of various committees without anything tangible to show for it

And I say you are a lair!! You've never seen a water treatment plant before now!

Anyone who knows the water treatment plant along Defoors Ferry between Midtown and Buckhead in Atlanta will tell you the one in picture here(though still under construction)is bigger and will be better than the one in even American.

eaglechild: Don't get yourself all worked up.

I have been to water treatment plants and the pictures I see their remain shabby.

Every nurse and doctor who has died helping ebola victims deserves the praises and compesation for their families, no special treatment for select few please and this should not be a case of who is well connected, they all meant the world to their families.

Jonathan is the onigbese, Obasanjo paid our debt, balanced the budget and left us with surplus. Jonathan the man with no shoes came to destroy everything from insecurity to stealing, plunging Nigeria to debt and messed up the system.

Good grief!! Thanks! Fasola backs his word up with actions while Jonathan is all about lies. That's it! The paid PDP are at their day jobs here. This is what they are paid to do, lie to Nigerians and sell their future for less than 100,000 per month or 5,000 per post.

PoliticsRe: Fashola Inspects 70 Million Per Day Adiyan Water Works...pics by whitecat007:
The village didirin, what did you say again?

Jonathan did not commission as little as a bird cage when he was in Fasola's position as a governor and he has been a president for almost 6 years now with nothing to show for it but, stealing tens of $$B and stashed in his hoes hairy purses. He was also a vice president before then. Try again OLODO, I can tell you don't know how many fingers are there on your hands. Go and swallow a hot bulb joor! Apoda gbemu!

Lagos has not received a kobo from Fg to fight EBOLA! The retardeen has done it again! He doesn't care about securing lives in Nigeria. Fashola is setting up ebola treatment centres and taking care of the victims without any help from the federal govt, quote me anywhere.

FLYFIRE: YOU DAFTNESS IS SECOND TO NONE BOY. YOU ABUSE SOMEONE WHO IS JUST THREE & HALF YEARS BECAUSE HE IS NOT FORM APC & HAS NOT DONE EVERYTHING BUT NOT YOUR HYPOCRITE GOVERNOR WHO IS FROM APC & HAS BEEN THERE FOR SEVEN & HALF YEARS BECAUSE HE CAN NOT DO EVERYTHINE AT ONCE. GOOD LOGIC. FOR YOUR INFORMATION, MORE THAN 80% OF THINGS DONE IN LAGOS IS BY PRIVATE SECTOR. THE OTHER DAY HE `COMMISSIONED` TEJUOSHO MARKET THAT WAS BUILT BY FIRST BANK & MADE IT LOOK AS IF HIS GOVT BUILT IT. ON EBOLA, I CAN SEND YOU A LIST OF DONORS WHOSE MONEY & MATERIALS ARE AT WORK IN NIGERIA. FGN ALSO SENT MONEY & MATERIALS TO ALL THE STATES. YOU PEOPLE ARE FULL OF DECEIT & BY GOD`S GRACE YOU WILL LOSE GREATLY IN 2015. ODE OSHI
PoliticsRe: Fashola Inspects 70 Million Per Day Adiyan Water Works...pics by whitecat007:
Because he can't do everything at the same time. This is a governor that commissions a project every week and single handedly fighting ebola out of the tight budget for Lagos, taking on responsibilities of the federal govt in addition to his state.

Hell yes! We know Jonathan has stolen more money than all previous presidents combined. That's a record no one can take from him. Insecurity like no other time. He also divided Nigeria along ethnic and religion lines. His resume is quite impressive if you ask me grin

FLYFIRE: WHY DID HE STAY FOR ALMOST EIGHT YEAR TO DO THIS; SO THAT PEOPLE WILL SAY HE IS WORKING? YOU ABUSE A MAN WHO IS BARELY FOUR YEAR IN GOVT BECAUSE YOU HAVE SOME CHEAP BUNDLE? HAVE YOU NOTICED THE CHANGE IN THIS COUNTRY SINCE THIS PRESIDENT ASSUMED OFFICE? YOUR FATHER IS NOT CONCERNED HERE I WOULD HAVE ADVISED THAT YOU GIVE HIM FASHOLA`S BRAIN BEFORE THE PRESIDENT.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Inspects 70 Million Per Day Adiyan Water Works...pics by whitecat007: 10:26am On Aug 20, 2014
Even the worst part of Fasola on Jonathan would make him a better president and install a functioning brain that will atleast make him look like a human being rather than dummy you would think he is.

voltron: Ensure to copy only the good parts please wink
PoliticsRe: Fashola Inspects 70 Million Per Day Adiyan Water Works...pics by whitecat007: 10:05am On Aug 20, 2014
You should go back to your mother's womb to go and get your brain you left there, so you can see that if your empty states can't do it, then a choking state like Lagos that has delivered a project every week will need a long time to cater for itself and millions others like you who have deserted their own states for Lagos to stretch the budget thin. Cooking meals for 3 is different from cooking for 100. I know you can't see that cos hate is eating you alive. Omo irankiran, descendant of Idanre monkeys.

Btw, package your ideas and send it to your home governor, true Lagosians know themselves and you are not one of them.
ochallo: All these stupid APC e diots on this thread are sickening. How long does it take to get water purify it , lay pipes and send it to homes, certainly not 6 years in a water logged place like Lagos. Imagine the deception, this project is projected to be completed by 2020 but these people didn't put into consideration that the water demand in 2014 would not be the same in 2020 and even if this project is completed , it would not be adequate for 2020.

To those of you talking nonsense about the best governor in Nigeria who has delivered more than all others combined (except few who he has taken under his wings)despite population explosion like no other, I say go shitt and eat! You and your opinions don't count in Lagos, the political structure of Lagos is a pointer to that. You may be seen but, will never be heard. Even Ogbono is universal. I think it's the same thing Yoruba call "Ishapa" in the heartland.
Sowl: As much as i wouldnt like 2sound like a tribalist, but i am actually dissapointed @ d fact that most of our ibo brodaz want almost every chance 2compete with d yoruba race and it amuses me a whole lot, in summary it shows the ibo's cant bare 2see d yoruba race be ahead of them in wateva way,i doubt we yorubas think d same way coz if we did,we wldnt have lagos 2b d most accomodatin state in d whole of 9ja that houses almost if not all of the tribes in 9ja..... Nw i wld like 2make some clarifications about this pidgin words and there origins below.....
Iba(malaria fever) :Is clearly and undisputably a yoruba and not an ibo word
Eba : is undisputably a yoruba coinage word,i knw if ibo's where given the chance they wld also lay claim 2manufacturin garri simply bcoz we seem 2 associate d yellow version of garri as garri ibo due to there preferrence of liking it more than we the yoruba's.
Egusi(melon seed/soup]: is simply not of ibo origin, ibos cant lay claim 2it coz dey dnt even produce it on there land,if u ibos want 2lay claim 2sumthin similar then it should b ogbolo soup n its seed.
Ororo(vegetable oil): it wld only b sacrilageous 4 any1 2term ororo as a bini word, its purely n simply yoruba, bini used 2b a colony of d great OYO empire, the OYO empire also has as part of its conquest empire the some parts of togo and benin(if am nt mistaken used 2b known as dahomey) so d similarity of d language comes as no suprise coz yoruba is used in benin, togo and even bini in nigeria here, same goes 4 every colonial master and its colony with similarity in language.
Ipekere: is a yoruba word and nt an ibo word.
Pangolo(can or tin): is also a yoruba word and not of ibo origin, before slate roofs came in2 existance, yorubas used 2call d steel roof (panu),which was a short form of pangolo.
Akara(bean cake): is undisputably a yoruba word and food, ibo's and hausa and every other tribe in dis country can attest 2dat,wnt b surprised if ibo's also want 2lay claim 2 moi-moi(bean pudding) as an ibo word .
My ibo brodaz and sistaz shld look beyond mere envy and stop wateva competition they always want 2ve between they and the yoruba race, its only logical that due 2d fact that majority of d tribes in nigeria are housed and accomodated by we the yorubas, its common sense that they would all have mastered our language and ways of life 2d extent of feeling among but that doesnt mean we would loose our heritage and ways of life and hand it on a platter of gold to them ,we know who we are and what we stand for...... Its only natural for any tribe 2 socially and culturally integrate with wateva tribe that is its host in a geographical area, and the ibo's are no exception but that doesnt mean they should lay claim to whatever seems to belong to the yorubas.

Is it that ibos don't have names for these things or they are just playing around, cos last time I checked, we don't speak the same language, so how come the origins of these words are complicated?
