Celebrities / Re: Hmmmn! Alaafin Of Oyo Kingdom Celebrates Birthday With His Four Wives.(picture) by whitecat007: 3:35pm On Sep 03, 2014
You are one special mumu that should be put in a museum for people to pay money to watch!

Even an ordinary celebrity would celebrate a birthday in Lagos today, fly to Atlanta the next day to celebrate the same, only to leave for South Africa for the same birthday celebration.

A friend here celebrated her special day in 3 different states for a whole week.

He's a king ok!! And people pay to honor him, organize dinners for him, and he just need to show up. Don't be surprised if another party is happening in the US or even in Brazil.

Teedol: I wonder why d Alaafin of Oyo has to celebrate his birthday in London. How about the Queen of England celebrating hers in Liberia... Colonial mentality at its peak.

Yoruba with tribal marks are less than 0.1% of Yoruba population, so what is your problem

I know you are ibo trying to derail this thread.

Segadem: Why is that none of his wives has tribal mark? The last time I check they say ’’Tribal mark is our culture "

What has ibo built and called Nigerian?

Go and set up yours and call it anything you want. Enough of your greed coated envy. You are more tribalistic than any Yoruba out there. Yoruba always take every tribe along but, this is cultural, and can only be Yoruba history. We have chinese, Italian and others who showcase their heritage, and Yoruba is not an exception. Nigeria is a geographical expression with so many different cultures. No amounts of arm twisting and blackmail will keep us waiting for your people to catch up. You will not hold us down anymore. Yoruba must keep moving on, waiting for your tribe has kept us stagnant, and it's not as if you appreciate it, you insult us after each mouthful of rock-textured Akpu, after all we have done, so to your tents oh Israel.
NobleG1: Why not call it Nigerian Village?
Yorubas and thier st*upid tribalistic mentality amaze me.

He's an ibo who wish he was born Yoruba.
TUNFOL: Only a fool will beleive that you are Yoruba. If truly you are one, your position gave you out as an omo-ale. You are busy feeding people with wrong info here. So you are so dumbb to know that what you posted is the ancient part of Ibadan? So you are not aware of the modern Ibadan? So yo do not know that certain structures are preserved for historical purposes. Visit any Yoruba Palace and yo will see the very old, acahaic architecture mostly preserved from generation to generation for historical and cultural purpose. Ladgidi ko, Lasgidi ni. So the acient houses in Ajegunle and the likes are not part of your so-called Lasgidi. Ani Oponu ni ee. Mumu.

You would say such because, your tribe isn't the one celebrated here. I'm sure you are a die hard tribalist in reality. Abeg take your envy medicine.
maxit2: Would have made more sense if it was Nigerian village as we have china town.
Being that it only represents a tiny tribe. Please dis does not concern the rest of us that sees ourselves only as Nigerians
I'd say you tiny people stop disrespecting our common language (English) and celebrate your virtual conquest using yoruba language.
This thread shouldn't be written in English.

You better wake up and stop deceiving yourself, the whole world knows we are not one. Different culture, ancestry and way of life.
heavenmade: It is a good move but not the best. I would have prefered a Nigeria Town anyway...we should not always show the world that we are not one in this country

ZUBY77: Shameless Africans. Always celebrating useless projects.
How many British villages are in Ibadan?
If that is such a fantastic project, do you think you can beat them to that?

First of all, the Police, the army, the politicians etc will remain British. So you are only allowed to import your Ewedu and others.

Its a shame we celebrate running away from our ancestors. They must be happy wherever they are.

Do you, deep down your heart honestly believe that Jonathan is sane?
maestroferddi: What are you talking about?

Did you watch the broadcast to be in a position to deem comments sentimental?

The man Tomorin after blabbing away for a couple of minutes, finally delved into the prepared barb he came to deliver.

The way he was speaking made it so easy to deduce that he was highly compromised.

He said he heard the President state that Nigeria cannot be a poor country because she has produced the likes of Aliko Dangote, the world's 25th richest man and that the number of private jet owners is so many.

He went on to say that he believes that despite the so-called affluence that poverty pervades the land.

For me, no issue. At least he was making sense.

Then he delivered the coup de grace. He said anyone concluding that Nigeria is rich based on the reasons above as given by the president MUST BE SICK.

In a futile bid, to redeem himself, he blurted out that he was not saying the president was sick.
His paymasters enjoyed the ridicule by bursting out into laughter.

I lost interest in the whole episode thereafter.

Mr Nwodo said "I acknowledge the presence of former head of state Gen Yakubu Gowon, I remembered how he gave us seats after the civil war when we were sitting on blocks to learn in our classrooms in his bid to recocile all agrieved." That means Gowon provided seats for them to stop sitting on blocks. Stop inciting people!

Politics / Re: Koye Olu Ibukun The ECOWAS DIPLOMAT Who Moved Ebola To Port Harcourt Photo! by whitecat007: 3:42am On Sep 01, 2014
The doctor didn't even know the diplomat, it was another ibo( lillian) who knew the doctor, that set up the treatment before he traveled to PH.

I believe the rest of the holes in the story will be filled soon when investigative journalists get involved to give us the extent the greedy people went to make money at other people's expense.
Sagamite:

So his doctor friend is a person, who knows there is an Ebola outbreak that just entered Nigeria and a friend tells him "he is in an hotel with a fever and can't live a finger" and the person doctor carried his mumu head there?

And when he knew it was Ebola, he kept quiet and continued?
Politics / Re: Koye Olu Ibukun The ECOWAS DIPLOMAT Who Moved Ebola To Port Harcourt Photo! by whitecat007: 2:56am On Sep 01, 2014
You ibos are a bunch of fools! Who can't read and understand a simple article to save your lives. Shame on you all!!!

Why are you now skipping the original story of how an ibo(Lillian) colleague of Olu Koye Ibukun who knew he had the symptoms of Ebola arranged with the late Doctor for treatment before he traveled to Porthacourt. If anything the Doctor and the Lillian(both greedy ibos) are to blame here because, they were in their right frame of minds and should have known better, yet, they set up the treatment because of greed. There's no grounds for comparisons between a man who was disrupted, confused and did not know what was really going on(unless any of you can tell me how you behaved when you heard your death sentence)with people who were sane and were in better positions to make good judgement at the time.

Olu Koye Ibukun was not the first or last to flee, so how come the others did not get pulled into tribal ring? Ohh! because they were ibos.

Mark my word! No jury will find this man guilty of wrong doing, that's if Nigerian govt can even successfully extradite him. He will walk free!
