sunvick: cc Chelda In a situation where you are unable to process your PR application within the resident permit validity, you can apply for extension. But when an extension is not granted, you have return back to your country and continue to process from there. It happened to someone I know, he was denied an extension, he returned back to Nigeria, continued and was granted PR. He's back in Canada now |

mummyjayson: Mine will only chew meat or chicken, every other food is OYO but will use teeth to be pulling out fibres on area rug to chew, he will quickly grasp peoples hair just to pick one strand for chewing and before you catch him, its inside his mouth. Don't let him sight toilet roll, that one na correct chewing gum. If you now put your finger in his mouth to pull them out, he will so bite you that they will hear your scream 5 streets away, but he doesn't swallow sha, at least most times. Thank God. They out grow them gradually. Wonderful children 1 Like |

Everything goes, but in a civilized country, you cant try that shi..t. Would appreciate suggestions on jobs for mums with babies, with daddy in Nigeria . Thanks 2 Likes |

Kmgb: I hear a lot of people say they usually change their minds later. Lets hope for the best and above all, planning is key o, may we not be frustrated. Its gonna be tough at first, but we are stronger than we think. There's no going back for me and that is why I'm looking for something I could do to cushion cost of living while my babies are well taken care of at the same time. Also looking into all these sit at home jobs. I think they are called customer service. Never done that before. Whew!!!! 7 Likes |

salford1: Thanks for this info. @ titiclassy, have you ever considered working in a creche? I love taking care of babies and I do this presently and voluntarily, once a week though. That takes care of this hassle "entry or transition job have funny hours", takes care of extra transport cost, and the stress involved in juggling a career with child pick up/drop off. Creche owner might further reduce the cost of care for your children as a staff (don't know if that works in Canny though, just thinking). Lets just say we might be in the same shoes. I've got close to 10 years experience in banking and i'm ready to shift qualifications to one side to pursue a change of career that will fit around my children's schedule (both are younger than yours), at least until hubby decides to reside fully. We are still pleading . I've wanted to seek more knowledge from the house on processes involved in establishing a creche in Canada too, but time never reach. I never even start research sef. Just in case you are interested or if anyone knows what it entails, lets begin to share notes. We must succeed!!! 17 Likes |
