socialmediaman: 2. NGF has said they have no 2 factions and they agreed that Amaechi was the substansive chairman of the forum, 16 isn't greater than 19, is it?
Was the other faction part of it? Yes, Akpabio, Uduaghan and the rest attended that meeting and they were the ones who championed the division of the forum with the backing of the outgoing president. They have denounced the fraud they perpetrated and the confusion they caused, so maybe Jang is probably chairman of a one-man governors' forum, it's allowed.
Come to think of it, Fayose wouldn't be doing this after-thought if he didn't agree that this was the real governors' forum, he would've simply dismissed them as a faction group You can keep typing till eternity... my message to you this morning has been passed...I will keep showing you how myopic, bigoted and pathetic your reasoning is...See ya in the next topic |

socialmediaman: Stop hating my brother, I look at both sides of a story before I criticize. All governors were informed about this meeting and its purpose, Fayose should have attended that meeting or at least sent a letter to them to communicate his opinion on the matter, he refused to do so, now he comes to make headlines as an after thought?
Now consider this, you're a member of a class, and the teacher invites everyone to a meeting to reschedule an exam because he would soon travel, you refuse to go for reasons best known to you, then when you hear it was scheduled for a Sunday, that's when you come out to start crying foul?
Like I inferred, he would have been absolutely right if he had attended the meeting, objected to the election and staged a walk-out in protest, or at least if he had written to them before the meeting, stating that he objected to the election which would exclude incoming governors. 1)Who's hating you?...quit being delusional... I am simply pointing out to you how false and hypocritical you're... hence a poison to yourself and more to society... 2)NGF have double faction... Was the other faction part of that move?...Not at all...Jona Jang have confirmed that severally... 3)Was the outgoing governors suppose to even contemplate electing leaders for incoming governors if there are NO ulterior motives ...Are the incoming governors not competent enough to elect their leaders?...If they can lead their states, why can't they elect their own leaders?... 4)Your analogy is simply skewed, myopic and doesn't apply here at all... 5)You looked at NO two sides. You're one partisan folk who doesn't understand patriotism and know the road to truth... |

MaziOmenuko: The insomnia was worst when you lots sold your soul to the devilish agents of transformation and unleashed unbranded lies against GMB: from fake certificate to unproven corruption allegiances to religious and ethnic bigotry. Trust me, peaceful nights have returned and I now sleep with both eyes closed. there was no lies against buhari...otherwise let him challenge such in court if he thinks anybody impugned his character or integrity with lies whatsoever because that's what any sane man will do... 1)Has he shown us his certificate?...or you think that issue is dead...days ahead will prove you wrong... 2)We are on thread showing his biased and bigoted nature with knack for selective justice especially when porridge is involved...or will a man of integrity allow governors to loot their states to support his personal ambition?... Or will a man who's sincere appoint a single company to handle detection, approval, consultancy, supervision, and prioritizing of projects by PTF all by themselves?...where in the world is such done ... 3)Buhari gained popularity and cult like following in the north early 2000's due to his stance on sharia...his religious stance isn't any lie...even el-rufai accused him of being insensitive to Nigeria diversity...tinubu termed him a destabilizing agent... 4)Buhari won award as the only head of state in modern world to campaign and vote against his country in favour of his ethnic group in OAU Secretary general election of 1985...even as statesmen like Julius Nyerere supported Dr Onu Peter; the Nigerian candidate...I remember, the "your people are killing my people" saga...If these are not proofs of an ethnic bigot tell me what is then If buhari thinks anybody lied against him; we have courts here...let him challenge such people or media organization... its simple than you crying all over here....more sleepless nights awaits you as from May 29th when media gets hot |

Something that MUST be redressed from in the new Nigeria.
Accept Change! I wonder how most of you have peaceful rest and sleep after all these outright lies and half truths...How can you say there's lack of evidence or a case remains mere allegation with ALL FUNDS RETURNED or seen STASHED in foreign accounts waiting repatriation for which his family took federal government to court using various companies as fronts ...Buhari because he has eaten the porridge sold his birthright...Abacha wife brought him into politics and Abacha sons sponsored his campaigns... buhari is NO change but oligarchs knack for power and supremacy.... |

TRUTHTOPOWER: e
Lol. a tint of loyalty in the face of collective injustice is somewhat puzzling. I never said a single individual is responsible. I am challenging the leaders of APC and PDP on this issue. As for presidency, who knows if NASS got inspiration from the manner the executives cut the cake for themselves? An expatriate once joked remarked that it was impossible to embezzle 1000 in his country because the system will collapse. Why? every shilling has a CRITICAL assignment to carry out. This has nothing to do with GEJ alone but the system he inherited. Whether he should be blamed for assenting it at all depends sadly on our belief system.
I am for regionnalism. But before we create a new class of emperors as we have in the states, let us strengthen the capacity of citizens through the instrumentality of law and law enforcement. let us make leadership financially unattractive. How? Transparent Procurement System. Contracts must be awarded based on market overt prices not covert. money must be paid into a publicly verifiable account. all expenditures from the account must be done by e-transfer. under this system contract inflation and kick backs will be marginal and in some cases nil.
salaries and allowances of the highest paid public servant must not be 3 times higher than that of a Federal University VC. Tax on property should be paid through bank accounts of property owner. this includes car licensing. Bank accounts will serve as the medium knowing sources of income and the tax payable. In most European countries if you don't have work got will know through your account. if you have assets higher than normal got will come after you for explanation.
What does it take to do this. Legislation. It does not need time for maturity. Before you drive a car of five million as the son or cousin of a politician you must be prepared to answer questions. if you get away when you are driving you will not get away when you are renewing your papers.
What is the effect: industrial creativity to earn legitimate money. willingness to work on the part of gold diggers and "short cutters". available of resources for essential social safety nets. mortgage, health, education and security. once you create this legal frame work. Politicians will not have personal money to sway electoral process. they will rely on people to contribute so as to make the system better. Brothers, this is the point where young intellectuals on Nairaland will put their wonderful skills to test in the soap box. You can then have leaders who came to power not because of God fathers or money but majorly because they have ideas the people bought into. Some good practical points here while some others are theoretical at best.... Tell that your expatriate that he's exaggerating... Jonathan just introduced cashless policy...Citizens are getting used to it...you don't jam pack the system with different policies at a time especially with our literacy level to avoid anarchy... I was for Jonathan because some of these his novel great initiatives maybe abandoned on the altar of partisanship as buhari & APC seeks originality of ideas.... Can you remember when last contract was awarded by federal government and said contractor eloped with the money ...Jonathan did some good job there... We have so many skewed and corruption prone systems which a Jonathan blocked but Nigerians have short memory and are easily swayed by lies and propaganda especially when garnished with ethnicity and religious belief.... APC to me represents conglomeration of Nigeria sordid past of failed leaders...I only pray for grace to endure them because they are not any change whatsoever we desire.... |

Fact is Nigerians do not need a university stacked thousands of miles away to tell them how Ngozi Iweala performed in Nigeria. The people bearing the brunt of her misguided economic policies will beg to differ. But then Africans always cherish awards shoved down their throats especially when it comes from the West. It doesn't make sense for the West to say that GEJ is a colossal failure and at the same time say that his co-coordinating minister is a genius. But then US universities give honorary degrees to donors every year. It is never free. \ 1)Believe me, you won't know the truth if you see it... 2)Name a single none partisan group or none politician in the west that rated her low... 3)Which none partisan group rated her boss low too... 4)I am a Nigerian and I am proud of her and her achievements as minister...so which Nigerians aren't proud of her 5)Provide an evidence that this award most especially or any other she got was paid for or perpetually remain wretched... |

Like seriously, what decent person looking after the interests of their people gets praises from the Rockefeller Foundation, and now, Skull and Bones, under Yale? When even the blind knows she and GEJ institutionalised corruption that made Mobutu look like a saint? She's being awarded for something folks will never understand, and she has destroyed that country.
That's why I'm a proponent of either dividing that country, or turning it into a confederation - folks can't just let the stupidity of other folks keep holding their collective destiny down. What sense did you make with all this epistle? |
