emusmith

thanks for making my day with this thread...Just helped me relax my mood...

Is there really any solution to this malaise; shyness?

I am an adult who's used to public speech but unfortunately, I lose my thought process when with a crush face to face...I can easily flow on phone or online chat but not when confronted live...I can't be myself at that moment...

Silently I always pray that all these sweet babes will ask me out...

BTW I am very touchy...
PoliticsRe: APC Wins 214 House Of Reps’ Seats by Whynotthetruth(m): 8:17am On Apr 08, 2015
PassingShot:
The result of NA election across the country is an indication that GMB's victory was not a fluke.
People were generally tired of PDP's 16 years of mediocre performance throughout the nation with the exception of SE/SS which is really hinged on ethnic and religion sentiment. If not for those two mentioned factors, they would have voted in the same pattern as the other regions.
Let's see how PDP will fare as an opposition party even though the gale of defection we're witnessing now does not mean well for our democracy. I want an equally strong PDP to constantly breathe down on an APC-led central government because it is the only way Nigeria can get it right.
Can't the NA enact a law regulating defection of politicians?
I get sick in the stomach when I see folks like you lying against existing facts and statistics probably to massage your ego or please your pay masters.

I challenge you to contradict these facts...

North has always voted along ethnic and religious lines. All existing statistics and facts support this. Hence, they vote their own irrespective of party. PDP would have done far better in that region if the presidential election was separated from national assembly elections to whittle down bandwagon effect and illiteracy of voters especially on distinguishing and voting different platforms at same time.

While South South/ South east has been stronghold of PDP since 1999. They voted an Obj(Yoruba), a Yar'adua(Northerner), and Jonathan(Ijaw) all in PDP against Ojukwu and Ume-ezeoke(all their own) etc. So how does it translate to them voting along ethnic and religious lines. Be careful and stop blackmailing people.

Now, let's confront South-West pattern of voting. This ethnic group has voted along ethnic line since days of independence till now.

The South-West zone has 14,296,163 registered voters, which represents 19.44% of the total number of voters nationwide. In terms of national electoral strength, the
zone is number 2. Taking into account the electoral behaviour of the South-West since independence, the zone has proven itself, without exception, of incapable of
voting anyone other than its own. In the 1st Republic, it voted mainly Action Group in favour of Chief Obafemi Awolowo with about 69% voters’ turnout. In the 2nd Republic, it voted 78.75% of its total votes cast for UPN in favour of Chief Awolowo, with 70% voters’ turnout. In the June 12, 1993 presidential election, the pattern was repeated more or less the same, except that the total percentage of SDP’s votes in favour of Chief MKO
Abiola rose up to 84.5% in the zone. In the 1999 presidential election, mainly because the only two candidates for the presidency were both from the South-West, the zone’s voters’ turnout was abysmally low (48.09%) with about 68% of the votes cast to APP in
favour of Chief Olu Falaye. 2003 also recorded poor voters’ turnout with 71% of votes cast for Obasanjo’s PDP. In 2011, with no Southwestern candidate fielded by any of the major parties, the South-West voted PDP when a functional alliance with the CPC failed to field in Sen. Tinubu or his nominee. Besides, with the vicious experience of AD in 2003 when the PDP Federal Government uprooted its governments in five states of the zone, the South-West cannot now afford to risk having an opposition PDP government at the federal level again; certainly not after the hard pains and toils of forming the APC. It is therefore existential for the South-West to vote APC at the presidential election.

I think it's largely due to the political ignorance of the masses. Everyone should choose their nationhood.
Bro, without true federalism, this nation will never see progress. The current system only feeds laziness and corruption.
Exactly boss...Unfortunately, these folks that claims to be politically more sophisticated than others are as guilty as their brothers that encourages feudalism...

How can an Aregbesola be owing 5months salary and his people aren't worried rather feel happy shifting the blame to Jonathan, while at same time a state like Anambra which is an opposition state and not oil producing state as well is increasing salary by 15% above minimum wage with prompt payment too...

Bro, it's really depressing. I read with bewilderment how we are wired. I decode all the subtle messages.
Unfortunately, till we seat and renegotiate this mess via a referendum, we are in a rat race.
BTW, thanks for your contribution, and good evening too.
No government will allow SNC because most likely the issue of self-determination will crop up...

You already know those who will want to go and those who wouldn't want it to happen yet they won't allow an egalitarian society...

Aside that true federalism will force some people to not see much of oil money again...which they can't afford to lose...So in all, the system has been wired to live in confusion and retrogression with incidents as these reigning supreme...

I hope you're getting some subtle information from comments on this thread and others...See the extent of hatred, bigotry, and mischief by posters here...

Mind you, no matter what you do here or outside; the system feeds from bigotry hence they won't allow any change whatsoever. Go and check proceedings from the confab and see those who feeds on these anomalies and who won't allow any change whatsoever.

thanks and nice evening boss...

Op Nigeria cannot be divided because of the ibos only. It is impossible! The only reason we are not yet a nation is because of the segregationist nature of the south easterners. If they'd put in the amount of work the have done over the years into uniting instead of seperating, Nigeria would have become a nation.

I am for Rochas Okorocha 100%. I see no difference at all as none was backed by law. We have legislators paid to perform the duty of that wasteful confab who whatever they agreed on would have been made law awaiting Presidents confirmation. You are too sentimental to see truth or you know the truth but choose lie because of political affiliation.

Buhari can as well organise another one and I will still consider it wasteful.

Let me tell you the real way to go about it. Legislators of like ideology should sponsor a bill of their interest and convince majority of their counterparts that it is for the interest of the country to embrace true federalism. Buhari does not need to spend billions hosting people just to duplicate legislative functions.

As for Ilomuanya he is an armed robber. If you doubt me pay a visit to his village and make enquiries. He took Ezeship when his father was still alive which is a sacriledge in Igbo tradition. Finally he joined PDP. An Eze has no right to belong to a political party. His sack came as a thing of joy to his oppressed people and they pray his robbery case is revisited now that the man under whose regime he was sentenced is back as President.
If you see Jonathan as a failure and support Rochas then it is either you have lost sense of judgement or its just a case of schizophrenia...

Rochas has no respect for any arm of government and it is people with no sense of decorum that support him... I have Never seen a politician disappoint masses as Rochas did...Outside propaganda he's nothing... Last time, I saw his lies in this forum about his new built government house...

BTW you remembered that Igbo tradition does not allow a son to rule in dad's presence but forgot that Igbo tradition does NOT encourage government meddling with sanctity of traditional institution... How come Ilomuanya won him in courthuh...LGA defeated him in court and yet he refused to obey court injunction and you tell me he's not sick in the head...He killed third tier of government and opened fourth tier....hehehehe...what a confused fellowhuh...

As for confab; I expect nothing less from prejudiced mind like you that sees nothing wrong in a liar cum propagandist called Rocha's who is a definition of failure in governance...Your own idea of governance and policy formation would be the same mediocrity as your oga rochas...

good night..

Courts were manipulated by FG which of course we are all aware. I agree that it worked but he still lost in the election proper.
If you would be truthful to yourself if Jonathan was serious he could have done something these 6 years.
It is a jamboree because what was discussed had been discussed in same wasteful manner both under Abacha and Obasanjo. The issue remains implementation. I always knew Jonathan would not implement the recomendations just like his predecessors.
Plz I don't deal on blackmails here...Are you for Rochashuh...Yes you are...

Same court that they didn't use to disqualify buhari...
same court that tinubu got his injunctions from...
same courts that Rocha's refused to implement their rulings on LGA and Eze Ilomuanya...and Jonathan ignored him...
same court that gave judgement in favour of APC against federal government ncc...
Plz quit blackmailing government institutions for your myopic interest...

Done something in 6years?...If he did nothing in your view...what adjective will you use to describe your oga Rocha's 4years thenhuh...

Probably, you have comprehension issues; otherwise a little research would have shown you what a world of differences exist between the three conferences...Including reactions of the conferees; organizers and observers...A little dig into that won't kill you, so kindly sit down and read them...thanks

The confab was merely a jamboree to push for Jonathans attempted 3rd term bid. Nigeria needs true federalism and it was never part of Jonathan/PDP's agenda.
3rd term bidhuh...Guy, I hate it when people throw decency to the dustbin due personal hatred for authorities... Courts of competent jurisdiction has ruled on this issue, so what's the fuss and indiscreet outburst here?

Was Confab really a jamboree?...Was federalism not discussed?... Were decisions not taking taking note of all vagaries in Nigeria as federating units?...I quite disagree with you...

Not because your sponsors are against confab, that you will call it a jamboree... Most of Nigeria's best brains and statesmen were there and came up with great resolutions except on self-determination as Jonathan made it sacrosanct...

Its religious implementation will automatically push 60% of Nigeria's problems to disappear...So how's it a jamboreehuh....

Records show it as the best talkshow by Nigerians since independence devoid of executive interference in its deliberations hence far reaching decisions were agreed on....

Plz, let's not for personal aggrandizement mutilate facts and truths....thanks
