White release dove(Columba livia domestica) A release dove, also called a white pigeon, is a domestic rock dove (Columba livia domestica) bred for small size and white coloration that is released during events, such as public ceremonies, weddings and funerals. Most white doves are domesticated barbary doves (Streptopelia risoria). Albinism or other genetic anomalies that produce an entirely white dove occur very rarely in the wild since an all-white coloration would make these birds stand out in their natural habitats, leaving them highly vulnerable to predators. Although dove release businesses advertise that their birds will be able to safely return home, released doves are frequently killed in accidents or by predators before they can return home. Trained white homing pigeons, also known as rock doves, properly released by a trained release coordinator can fly back to their homes if within a distance of 600 miles. Ring neck doves that are released into the wild and survive will likely starve to death.[ |
awoo47:Its a lie. Don't say that about Biology. I teach Biology and I do a lot of home lessons. Who told you Biology doesn't give certain students difficulties? If it's easy to read and understand, how come people still fail it even at University level? I have students who find maths and physics far easier than Biology so why won't they hire a Biology home lesson teacher especially those ones going for medical courses in the university. It seems u have an Engineering background. Many of you think Biology is cheap yet u can't teach it. U will teach maths, physics, chem and futhermaths but can't teach Biology because u don't know it. The only way to save your face before your students and their parents is to tell them Biology is cheap, they should read it up. Stop this propaganda. It's disgusting! |

I am 31yrs old. I am rounding off with my masters. I have a job, howbeit not very lucrative. I live on my own and I am not in any serious relationship at the moment. Marriage has been on my mind for some time now because I think it's a good thing to marry early but I am scared of the unforseen things marriage brings. I am scared of ending up with the wrong person that will make my life miserable. I am scared of the unfathomable commitments that come with marriage. I am scared of losing touch with the pursuit of my dreams since I am still building myself towards my career goals. To make matters worse, when I see what married people go through, it looks like some of them are regretting why they got married. Please married people, share your experience let me see what I can make out of your views. |

Akwa Ibom is not named after the Qua iboe river. I don't know why I keep hearing this from some persons. Akwa Ibom means Great Ibom. Ibom is the ancestral home of the ibibios. It can also be interpreted in full as Akwa Abasi Ibom state" meaning "The state of the Great God of the Ibibios or the state of the almighty God". In other words "God's own state". "Qua Iboe" is the English corruption of the word "Akwa obio" which mean a large town. Akwa Obio is a coastal community in Akwa Ibom state. Qua Iboe or kwa Iboe was used by the British colonialists and early missionaries to describe the area during the precolonial era maybe because of the difficulty they end encountered in pronouncing the word "Akwa Obio" The Qua Iboe river which is a tributary of the Atlantic and a distributary of the Cross river is named after the coinage "Qua Iboe". Qua Iboe Church which is popular in Akwa Ibom state was named after the same community by the missionaries. |
rampantlover:Very true. Don't mind all these people saying the man should encourage the child to do music. They don't know what they are saying. Everyone in that boy's class may have had a distinction in music as well, so does that also mean all of them should pursue music as a career? I won't be surprise if music is just a vocational subject in that school with little or no stress to pass. Those of us in the classroom know what's up. |
YoungAncient1:I wonder o, when I saw that in the result for biology I was shocked. And besides, is biology not science?? Why having science and biology separately?. |
It's useful because I have been able to get a higher degree with it. I have also earn some peanuts with it. The job market for first degree holders is really saturated. Things can get better when you acquire a higher degree, it depends on what you choose to do with. Don't be discouraged, going to school or acquiring a first degree isn't a waste in the world over. You can use your first degree as a stepping stone to more promising engagements. Now first degree is relevant for the following reasons. 1. You can get a job with it. 2. You can get an intern position and gain necessary experience that can help u in your future career. 3. You can start a business from the knowledge u gained in your first degree. 4.You can network and meet other people with similar degree of interest and start up something with them. 5. You can gain sound insight from your first degree that can enable you become an entrepreneur. School broadens the mind and opens your eyes to certain opportunities that other people may not see whether educated or not educated. Finally, note the following; 1. Try and learn some handy and relevant skills in addition to your degree. It helps a lot these days. 2. Go for trainings if you can. It can boost your chances of jamming success in your chosen fireld of endeavour. There is absolutely nothing wrong with towing the path of education if that's what you want. Business is good if u want to do it after your education. Those comparing education and business arent really making any sense. There is no bone of contention between the two. Both are good. |

Eversince this lockdown I have been home with my parents and there is a way my dad looks at one particular lady whenever she comes around to buy things in my mother's shop which I think is inappropriate. He teases her and calls her sweet names also. As a guy I have tried not to take it serious since it's one thing a lot of men do but I am beginning to suspect my dad for trying to have an extramarital affair with this said woman. She is beautiful though and she is still a young woman while my dad is in his fifties. Now today, My father asked this same woman who happens to be a female tailor and makes female clothes to help him fix a zip in one of his trousers, which has possibly gone bad. The woman blushed and didn't really give him much attention or any reasonable answer while he was busy saying it repeatedly till the woman left. I find this a little bit disturbing and inappropriate and possibly giving wrong signals. I mean it's not like it's a new clothe the woman was making for him or something. . Another reason why I find this inappropriate and indecent is that, the zip can actually be fixed by any of these aboki people that mend clothes. Aboki do pass around my area every now and then, even yesterday they passed. So I want to know if my dad is up to something? And if he is, well i will just know for knowing sake. |

Hello everyone, I don't know why I am bringing this to the programming section but I pray I will find help. Well sometime in 2014 I forgot the password of my Yahoo mail, and all efforts to regain and have access to that email has proved abortive. I have followed the forgot my password instructions many times but I will not just get the right answer to one or two of the questions that will pop up for me to answer. Fast forward till now I have not been able to have access to that email. And because I saved some of my manuscripts and other important files that I no longer have in my computer in that email, I really need help in having access to that email so I can reclaim those files. Please I need someone who can access that email and reclaim those files for me. Please I need urgent response |

SUNSHINE You brought this light on my way Just when you came in today. I felt like I had a dream that became real. I felt your shadow and the whole of you In a bit you were so bright like sunlight. Memories melted like wax and passion Grew in me with tenacity and temerity. I made a tent in your heart and found shelter in your love like a home with which I’m to live. I basked in awe of your quintessential Persona, and how much my heart beat for you changed every time I stared right at you. It was thrilling, sweet and scrumptious Like the taste of honey mixed with milk. I devoured the surreal smile that rose from your face and the sparkling white teeth that stood glowing from your lips, you were like moonlight, so much I gazed with passion Like you were something out of the blue. I revere the feeling and the thrills it brings, I munch it like food even in your absence Trying to get my stomach full with you Till I set my eyes on you again Please come back I am waiting. |
czarina:Poetry is beautiful. It’s sad many people in this part of the world don’t value or understand the aesthetic appeal poetry can bring to our lives. |
czarina:Well thanks. You like poetry?? |
A BASKET OF ROSE Can joy come like a bird or wind that Blows across the mind to heal my wounded heart? Would my plight find solace only in agony Or tremble at night when the lights are out? What then shall my heart do, When sorrows draw near, And music like melody forsakes her place? Till the day I shall find my heart Where it is buried in the sand maybe across The sea and many oceans tempestuous. Let that day come in earnest for I shall tarry Till the night owl howls at noon. And I shall awake at the brink of day. |
