Like the others, after figuring you out not so tough anymore, are you? There's a more complex version though. Likely been posted here already as well

You have 9 coins, one is lighter than the others. You can confirm this only by balancing them against themselves on a balancing weight scale. You can figure out the lighter one with 2 tries, how?

vedaxcool: on the first, no you would conclude it strayed to you yard and/or someone left it there. again you would further conclude it had an owner whom it strayed from.

We conclude that it defies logic for a highly complicated universe which operates under numerous laws etc to exist just by a matter of chance of random process.
You conclude that, not the scientific community, and against reason.
Perhaps you only speak capital letters?

WHO MADE THE OWNER?

Also, what unicorns do you see in nature that you think cannot be, or will never be able to be attributed to natural physical laws, no sentience involved? Though that is not necessary.

alaric saltzman: seems u are in another time zone...its thursday joor tongue
Heh, I thought so at first, but it says the day before the day before yesterday, that's 3 days ago.
That day is 3 days after saturday.
So 3 + 3 = 6
That would make today friday, unless I'm starting from 0 rather than 1 (if you know what I mean, can't describe it properly).

Here's an easy one, lemme see if I can...

A pond has lilies growing on it. During summer, they double after every 24 hours. If we start with 6 lilies and it takes the lilies 90 days to cover the ponds surface, on what day does the pond have half its surface covered in lilies...

There's a much juicier one, to remember it now...

maclatunji: What do you think?
It's damning. Still digesting it, it's long. But I think the major problem would be, like he indicates, that muslims think the prophet and his time/book etc are perfect. Thus rather than looking towards the future, you look backwards to the past.
I'm interested in hearing if y'all agree with his numbers. If so do you agree with his assessment of the situation? If you do that as well, would you prefer the situation be changed, or will rather just leave it as it is? Ie, are you happy looking back 1400 years for answers? His take on intolerance on campuses? Rote learning, making pliable disciples who still call themselves boys/girls in their late 20's (9ja, I'm looking at you as well...) Etc etc

Edit: having fully read it, the paragraphs about the incompatibility between the scientific method and traditional islamic societies are gold

Spain translates more work into spanish in a year than the Arab world has ever doneinto Arabic
Yeah, spain translates more literature to spanish in a year than the arab world has since forever. Knowledge is probably bad for business. Pakistan has produced 8 patents in 43 years. Lots of little nuggets with hard numbers in that article but can't copy/paste at the moment. I, personally, especially like the message delivered to women with the temerity to not cover their hair or engage in sports. It boils down to other women should spray them with acid. Apparently there's nothing wrong with that because it will get worse for them in hell. No, they really wrote that. And one wonders why they kill people over tripe like 'innocence' (I'll admit the preview was a bit funny, and mayhaps accurate... Riot imminent)

Edit: author is a pakistani professor, I wonder if he has 'sold out' now...

This article is about their cutting edge science.
Spain produces more scientific literature than 57 OIC countries combined. And the quality of these papers is usually suspect

Using fire to drive me of a cliff, U are smart enought to find the links on your own, you seem to be a verry good communicater. But you don't have alot of imagenation.
Or could it be...? Possibly maybe U do have imagination/culture after all you are A homo sapiens not neanderthalensis so you must have imagination.

If you google deep enough you wil find whatever you seek, but my tip to you is to just use your creative thinking
That's poor sarcasm
Do you even know what my position is on homosexuality? I care very
little for cultures though, I think they're a nuisance, all of them. The very vast majority disagree, so it will make a lovely debate.

Supposing it was something that was general knowledge, I might accept that yup, I should look it up. Esoteric knowledge that you are pushing though... For instance jazz juice is a rather great band, listen to their stuff, tell me what you think...

vedaxcool: And the roaches must always creep off the wood work. Atleast you could have been human enough to answer the questions raised rather than hiding behind another question which is diversionary at best. All the points drawn I see remains unrefuted.
What question/points do you refer to, eediot? It seems you have problems making or comprehending simple coherent thoughts, I've come to expect something akin to schizophrenia from you. Probably just unadulterated stoopid though. Let's start from something even simpler, could you pls tell me what your religion is? From there we might be able to proceed.

Rant: There are muslims capable of simple thought on NL. Well actually I've come across only 2, but that's better than nothing. Why don't you let them advertise your faith for you, if you insist on advertising it ie. You, good roach hater, are better suited for less cultured tasks, eg, you'd make an excellent abj gateman.
Note, you're an embarrassment, but you generally make islam look even worse, an accomplishment that I admit deserves some recognition.

A lot of elfen lied is disturbing, and probably senseless or gratuitous. It does have one the better last 1-2 episodes of anime though.

If you want to see children in, erm, situations, 'Now and Here, There and Then'. No naked kiddies here (thankfully), in fact, not so much violence as well. But the stuff that happens...

Top pick though, If you're fairly new and just want to be entertained, watch code geass.

Alice: Tom told Ann Carter, Kelly and Ted, David Atwood was not moving out now. David awaiting you.

2. What is the 4-digit number (no zeros) in which the last digit is double the third, the third digit is one more than the second, and the first digit is one less than the second and one-fourth of the last?

3. While visiting a Junior High School, I asked two students to give me their ages. The did so, and then, to test their arithmetical powers, I asked each of them to add the two ages together. One game me 44 as the answer, and the other gave me 1280. I immediately saw that one of them had subtracted one age from the other, while the other student had multiplied the two ages together. Can you tell what the students ages were?

I've changed my mind a bit with regards to those scores with time, so some of them are off, but I still would rank kenshin an average 6 even now. To me it's generic shonen lol, not much to see. I don't particularly care for the xters, plot, etc..
I wonder if hunter x hunter will appeal to you if you like kenshin, but it's a bit long.
Christianity EtcRe: Islam Is Peace/ Judaism Is Peace. by wiegraf: 3:42pm On Oct 03, 2012
Kay 17: The anti islamic expressions as the innocence of the muslims and the French cartoons gave us the opportunity to discuss our minds and paradigms.

Many muslims over the social media kept on advocating on the peaceful nature of islam and of how violence is a taboo and often quoted the Koranic verse: stating no compulsion in Islam.

I came across the Ten Commandments during that time and I was struck by the "thou shall not kill" commandment. It sounds very much like a pacifists' anthem, it suggested an absolute rule. However a peep into the Jewish history and the remainder of the Bible, opens up the context and subject of special application. It didn't cover outsiders and foreign states, it was exempt from God's commands.

Just the same way with the Muslims. The Prophet wasn't just a spiritual leader, but also a political and military leader. He found the religion on violence, protected and promoted the image and doctrines of Islam with violence. He fought wars of dominace against various Arab tribes.

His successors followed his footsteps, made politics and religion inseparable. The riots followed the trend set by the Prophet, a natural indignation common among muslims at an attack at the Image of Islam which is believed to have as much weight as violent attack. Therefore violence in form of State coercion/sanction, towards blasphemers (hanging and firing squads) or public outcrys/riots.

The Rushdie incident for example, fatwas around the world spelling death for the writer, tens of ppl were killed in Muslim protests. Same with the Danish cartoons, the entire Muslim world erupted in violence, protesting and rioting. And with the same consistency, the anti Islam video received the same agitation.

In my view to say Islam is peaceful, is as deceitful as Judaism is peace.
Just change a few things here and there to focus a bit, driving the point on a bit more, then this should be a sticky....
Christianity EtcRe: The Pink Unicorn Argument Against Atheism. by wiegraf: 3:30pm On Oct 03, 2012
vedaxcool: Since the atheist cannot address the Pink Unicorn argument we are left to draw the following conclusion:

The man who woke one day to meet a Pink Unicorn in front of his house believes logically that someone made the unicorn and someone placed the unicorn front of his house.

That it goes against common sense for anybody to believe that matter can simply appear from nowhere.

Because of the above, We then draw the following:

Something must essentially come from another

Nothing can only produce nothing

The Pink Unicorn could have been formed from random process.

It was formed from clearly defined process.

These simple facts essentially remains the reason why atheism cannot be my style.
Illustrates your simple and rather dishonest mind. Ignoring the other nonsense, who made the man that made the pink unicorn?
Christianity EtcRe: The Pink Unicorn Argument Against Atheism. by wiegraf: 3:09pm On Oct 03, 2012

Actually, pointing out you're full of $hit, especially when you start your silly holier or wiser than thou nonsense would probably be doing you and society a favor.
