CrimeDo You Think Yahoo Yahoo Helped In The Reduction Of Armed Robbery Cases In Niger by Wikiforum(op): 11:22pm On Feb 08, 2017
Taking a deep look backward at social vices in Nigeria, I realized that the rate of armed robbery in the country has reduced drastically.

When talking about Armed Robbery, I am not referring to pick-pockets or carry and run robbery. I am talking of a well-planned bank-robbery or a situation where group of armed bandit will attack a whole market to kill, steal and destroy. This was the situation in Nigeria some years ago.

So, I made this a topic of discussion among friends in a social gathering and one of them frankly said, “There is no money in the country, guys no dey carry gun again, Yahoo-Yahoo ti take over”.

This means, youths are no longer interested in the life-threatened armed robbery business again, they now settle for Yahoo-Yahoo, otherwise called cyber-crime.

NOTE:- We are not in support of either of the acts as No form of stealing is good whether by force,Trick or false pretence as a good citizen of this country we should all live a sincere and truthful life to grow ourselves and the society at large..

Back to the matter, How true is this? Do You Think Yahoo-Yahoo Is The Cause Of Reduction In The Rate Of Armed Robbery In Nigeria?

Let’s have your opinion on this…

Drop your comments.

Christianity EtcChrist Embassy Pastor Deceived, Duped Me Of N4.5m - Witness by Wikiforum(op): 3:51pm On Feb 08, 2017
One Osazuwa Okungbowa, Tuesday told an Ikeja High Court sitting in Lagos State how a Port Harcourt-based pastor, Gobari Maxwell, of the Believers’ Love World Ministry, aka Christ Embassy duped him to the tune of N4.5 million.

Okungbowa dragged the pastor before the chief judge, Justice Kudirat Jose, claiming he was deceived by the pastor into believing that he would help him procure two plots of land near the Port Harcourt Polytechnic, Bori Camp.

A detective, Shedrach Ternenge Iyo, attached to the Cyber- Crime Section of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, told the court that the commission received a petition from the complainant sometime in September 2013, alleging that the pastor received N4.5 million from him through his wife’s First Bank account in a bid to buy two plots of land.

Detective Iyo, while being led in evidence by the prosecution, A. A. Adebayo, said the accused was not invited by the commission since he couldn’t be reached through the phone.

Iyo added that the accused was, however, arrested in Port Harcourt and brought to Lagos for proper investigation, New Telegraph is reporting.

Detective Iyo, reading the charge sheet before the court, said, “Maxwell allegedly committed the offence on June 12, 2012 at Ikeja Judicial Division by dishonestly converting the said sum to his personal use.

“During investigation, the agency sent a letter to the two banks which were used for the transaction; a First Bank account belonging to the complainant’s wife and a Diamond Bank account belonging to the pastor, requesting for account statements.

“When we received the banks’ response, we analysed both accounts and discovered that the sum transferred for the land purchase was N3.8 million while N700,000 was transferred as a loan to the pastor.

“Okungbowa made the land payments in seven instalments through his wife’s bank account from June24 to May 31, 2012 in the variations of N300, 000 and N500, 000 consecutively.

“After volunteering a statement and being read a caution, the pastor confessed to have received the money but claimed he used it to settle his elder brother’s hospital bills, who was brought back to Nigeria from the United States of America (USA) for treatment.

“The accused is facing a one-count charge of stealing contrary to Section 258(a)(b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, No. 11, 2011,” the detective added.

When asked by the prosecution if the agency visited the said land, Iyo said “we didn’t visit the land since the accused had told us that there was actually no land to visit and besides the area was under grave crises.

“The pastor told the commission that there is no land and he didn’t have any specific land to buy for him, beside the area he had promised to purchase for him was already having community fights.”

But the defense counsel, V. I. P. Nwana, argued that the witness was not the maker of the said document and therefore could not testify to its documentation as exhibit.

He also argued that detective Iyo was not a bank operative and under the Evidence Act could only give evidence to the said document if the originator of the document was permanently indisposed to tender it, which was not the case.

He further objected to the statement of account which was presented to be tendered as exhibit by the prosecution.

In her ruling, Justice Jose adjourned the matter till April 13 and 14 for trial.

Technology MarketCheck Out Why Uber Hires Veteran NASA Engineer To Develop Flying Cars - See More by Wikiforum(op): 10:23pm On Feb 06, 2017
In 2010, an advanced aircraft engineer at NASA’s Langley Research Center named Mark Moore published a white paper outlining the feasibility of electric aircrafts that could take off and land like helicopters but were smaller and quieter. The vehicles would be capable of providing a speedy alternative to the dreary morning commute.
Moore’s research (PDF) into so-called VTOL—short for vertical takeoff and landing, or more colloquially, flying cars—inspired at least one billionaire technologist. After reading the white paper, Google co-founder Larry Page secretly started and financed two Silicon Valley startups, Zee Aero and Kitty Hawk, to develop the technology, Bloomberg Businessweek reported last summer.

Now Moore is leaving the confines of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration, where he has spent the last 30 years, to join one of Google’s rivals: Uber Technologies Inc. Moore is taking on a new role as director of engineering for aviation at the ride-hailing company, working on a flying car initiative known as Uber Elevate. “I can’t think of another company in a stronger position to be the leader for this new ecosystem and make the urban electric VTOL market real,” he says.

Uber isn’t constructing a flying car yet. In its own white paper published last October, the company laid out a radical vision for airborne commutes and identified technical challenges it said it wanted to help the nascent industry solve, like noise pollution, vehicle efficiency and limited battery life. Moore consulted on the paper and was impressed by the company’s vision and potential impact.

Nikhil Goel, Uber’s head of product for advanced programs, says the company wants to organize the industry to help spur development of flying cars. “Uber continues to see its role as an accelerant-catalyst to the entire ecosystem, and we are excited to have Mark joining us to work with manufacturers and stakeholders as we continue to explore the use case described in our whitepaper,” Goel wrote in an e-mailed statement.

Moore acknowledged that many obstacles stand in the way, and they’re not only technical. He says each flying car company would need to independently negotiate with suppliers to get prices down, and lobby regulators to certify aircrafts and relax air-traffic restrictions. But he says Uber, with its 55 million active riders, can uniquely demonstrate that there could be a massive, profitable and safe market. “If you don’t have a business case that makes economic sense, than all of this is just a wild tech game and not really a wise investment,” Moore says.

Uber’s vision is a seductive one, particularly for sci-fi fans. The ride-hailing company envisions people taking conventional Ubers from their homes to nearby “vertiports” that dot residential neighborhoods. Then they would zoom up into the air and across town to the vertiport closest to their offices. (“We don’t need stinking bridges!” says Moore.) These air taxis will only need ranges of between 50 to 100 miles, and Moore thinks that they can be at least partially recharged while passengers are boarding or exiting the aircraft. He also predicts we’ll see several well-engineered flying cars in the next one to three years and that there will be human pilots, at least managing the onboard computers, for the foreseeable future.

His move to Uber is a risky one. Moore says he’s leaving NASA one year before he’s eligible for retirement and walking away from a significant percentage of his pension and free health care for life “to be in the right place at the right time to make this market real.” (Though it’s probably safe to say that Uber, with some $11 billion on its balance sheet, is making it worth his while.) Moore seems to be disillusioned with NASA, saying the agency is leaving promising new aviation markets to the private industry. “It’s the federal government who is best positioned to overcome extremely high levels of risks,” he says.

While NASA is larded with layers of bureaucracy and management, Uber Chief Executive Officer Travis Kalanick has been closely involved in hatching his company’s flying car plans, Moore says. That is, when he’s not distracted with his own political crises, such as his role on President Donald Trump’s advisory council, which he relinquished last week after criticism from customers, drivers and employees.Kalanick’s bet on Uber Elevate is another indication that while Silicon Valley seems on the surface to be consumed with politics and protests these days, the march into the future continues apace.

ProgrammingShared How To Create A Working Cheat On All Network by Wikiforum(op): 8:42am On Jan 20, 2017
Right from d start, creating a free browsing on any network was not a difficult thing to do. Its will be simple as your name when you finish reading this. The reason i say this is bcus even a 2 yr old baby knows how to pronounce his or her name. So lets roll on.
HERE ARE SOME COMMON THINGS TO KNOW
HOST: A host is a free website of a network provider or ISP (Internet Service Provider) in which you can access or browse on for free at zero balance. Some hosts of our ISP's are their home pages like
Connect.mobilinkworld.com,
0.facebook.com, airtel.in/freezone etc and they open or can be browsed upon with zero data subscription. You can also check
some links sent to you from ISP advertising some products, most of these links are free to access.

Ports: port is a medium or portal in which information is sent to and fro between your computer and other networks. We need
ports to browse the web and to also browse free, we need open ports. Lets take a house as an example. To get access into a
house, we would need the doors and windows, and so when the owner of the house shut the doors and the windows, we can not access the house unless we look for another door or window that is open and so is a port. The doors and windows in this scenario are the ports, once our Internet
Service Provider (ISP) closes them, we cant have access to free internet unless we look for other ports on our ISP that are open.

UDP Ports: They are very fast and if they are open on a network, they can be browsed on directly for free i.e you can scan for open
ports on droid vpn and if theres is any, you can use those ports to browse for free.
examples of such ports are 53, 9201, 9200 etc

TCP Ports: They are fast but when compared to UDP, they are abit slow. Now TCP ports shouldnt be seen as ineffective because of
its comparison with UDP ports. Now to get free internet on aTCP ports, we use this simple format: Host + open ports + working
proxy = Free internet.

Yes, I slept with the popular Nigerian female blogger, LindaIkeji. Did I hear you say 'impossible'? Well, believe it or not, I "slept" with her, and I'm not regretting it!

Yeah, that's the feeling successfull bloggers create -- a feeling of surprise! And when you shock your readers, you've won them! That's it.

Now, there are many reasons why your first blog probably failed even before it started. One of the most important reasons is what I call 'ugly post titles'. Titles that don't "arouse" your readers. What you get in return? Failure! Then you say to yourself: 'blogging is not my thing'.

Your blog titles are like an entrance to a building. How you structure your blog titles will give your potential readers a clue of what to expect. If your title sucks, no one will even give it a second look. Adding that 'shock effect' in your titles will make a lot of difference!

Lindaikeji's blog (though not the best out there) is one of the blogs that gives priority to titles. So, literally, I "slept" with it!

Today I will be talking about the second of the three businesses that I mentioned in my previous post but in a different section.

This one is called Pay-Per-Click advertising or PPC. Just like Amazon affiliate marketing, you can also start PPC without any capital but it could take from 9 to 15 months of nonstop dedicated work before you can start getting reasonable returns in the range of N30,000 to N50,000 monthly and above.

What is Pay Per Click Advertising?

Pay-Per-Click advertising (or PPC) is when you have a website and you register with an advertising company so that they place their adverts or image banners on your website and when people visit, if they happen to click on those adverts, you get paid a commission.
The commission per click could range from $0.01 to $1 or more so the more people that click on the adverts, the more money you make. The most profitable of these advertising companies is Google and the name of their PPC program is AdSense.

If you get this one right, Google Adsense (pronounced “add – sense”) is one of the best for generating long term profits that come in regularly and keep growing every month.

Challenges of Google AdSense

The AdSense program is owned and run by Google.com and although getting into the program is free, the major challenge is that it is not always easy to get approved and in extreme cases could take up to 6 months if you are not so lucky. Also there are a lot of rules guiding the program and it is easy for someone without experience to make mistakes which could lead to getting kicked out.

To start with Google Adsense, you need to have a website (free or paid) and you need to update it regularly with information that people will be interested in so that when they visit your website they might like it enough to want to visit regularly and maybe even subscribe to be receiving updates whenever you post.

Before starting, you have to decide what type of website you want to build and what kind of information to put there. You must do your research to know what people will be interested in because if you put information that nobody is interested in you might end up wasting your time because you will not be able to attract many visitors and subscribers.

You generally need up to 1000 regular daily visitors or more and anything from 10,000 to 15,000 subscribers to be able to make anything from N50,000 and above Monthly with AdSense. It is easy to put down these figures here but in reality, you will sweat and sweat for a long time before you can get this kind of daily visitor traffic that is why AdSense is definitely not for people who want instant money.
Although getting such an amount of daily visitors and subscribers could take up to a year or more to achieve, the beauty of AdSense is that once you are able to get to this point, the revenues start growing on its own without you doing much work and it gets to a point where the revenues start increasing every month and within the space of 18 to 24 months, you should be able to get up to N100,000 – N200,000 monthly regular income, maybe more provided you do the right things.

Starting With Adsense

To start with Adsense you need the following:

1. A website (free or paid):

2. A domiciliary account: Most Nigerian banks have this type of account. You won’t need this at the beginning but when your money is ready to be sent, you will need this to be able to receive it. You can go to any bank and ask for details about their domiciliary account. You can receive your earnings through bank transfer directly into your domiciliary account just few days after you are paid.

3. A hot and popular subject for your website which people will be very interested in. The subject of a website is usually referred to as the “Niche” (pronounced “nitch” or “nish”). Most of the updates you make on your website and articles you write will center around the niche that you have selected.

The niche must be in high demand for example entertainment, nollywood movies and celebrity gossip is one very hot niche in Nigeria today. An example of such website is http://www.lindaikeji..com. Job vacancies is also another hot niche but the problem with these niches is that lots of people are now getting into them leading to a lot of competition. The space is getting saturated and no longer as profitable as it was few years ago. There are also certain niches that are always popular and evergreen like health and fitness (e.g dieting, weight loss), wealth creation and making money etc but for some of these “evergreen” niches, getting AdSense approval may be very difficult.

Inability to get a popular niche is another common reason why most people fail in online business. The fact that you feel that people might be interested in something on your website doesn’t always mean that they will be interested. This is the reason why many beginners create a website and make some posts and don’t understand why after six months nobody is visiting the website. And if nobody is visiting, you will not make any money. Remember I mentioned earlier on that you need up to 1,000 daily visitors for you to get at least N50,000 (or $300)

The bottom line is that if there are not enough interested people in the niche that you chose, then you will most definitely fail. But the good news is that there are proven techniques and software that you can use to research and find popular niches to try. This is known as keyword research.

4. Time and ability to write articles to put on your website: (for starters you may need up to 30 articles). The articles need to be unique and of very high quality and packed with lots of information about the given topic. If you do not have the ability or the time to write the articles yourself, you could get someone around you to help out and if need be pay them. Or you could hire a freelancer online. The important thing is that the article must be original and of very good quality and contain unique and interesting information, not copied from another website

5. Knowledge of SEO: SEO means Search Engine Optimization and deals with how to make your website easy to find by people searching for information online. SEO is of one of the seven branches of online business and is of paramount importance for long term growth and in the short term too especially if you do not have the funds to advertise on Facebook or Google. SEO is a very broad topic with various techniques and schools of thought.
If you are interested in learning more about it, we explain it in detail in our

How Much Can you Make from AdSense?

AdSense is the most popular way of making money from websites in Nigeria. Most of the biggest websites in Nigeria like Vanguard, Punch, Naij.com, Information Nigeria, Linda Ikeji etc all use AdSense. In fact, some websites in Nigeria make up to $500 dollars (about N80,000 a day) from Adsense. Yes you heard that right, Eighty thousand naira EVERY SINGLE DAY just from AdSense alone. Unbelievable? Hmmm you haven’t seen anything yet.
You can use Adsense to make money from most types of websites like Forums, Social Networks, Blogs, Magazines, CMS etc but it can take some months after approval before you start making anything tangible because you first need to build traffic and work on people visiting the website. So if you are just starting, you may not earn anything for the first few months but after about 3 to 6 month you should start seeing something come in monthly. In Nigeria, the payments from AdSense are sent by Google every month to your domiciliary account.

There are a lot of things involved in setting up and running a successful Adsense business in Nigeria but space will not allow me to go into the nitty gritty details.
