African queen originator 2face idibia celebrates his 43rd birthday today.

According to wikipedia Innocent Ujah Idibia (born in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria), Born 18 September 1975 (age 43)known by his stage name 2Baba, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur. Prior to July 2014, he went by the stage name 2face Idibia.

He is one of the most decorated and successful Afro pop artists in Africa, and is also one of the most bankable artists in Africa. He’s married and blessed with kids.

Kunle Afolayan has confessed to not watching much of Nollywood movies because he’s keen on watching movies that can challenge him.

In a chat with TheCable, the filmmaker said he hardly watch Nigeria movies because he’s keen on watching movies that will challenge him and change his orientation about certain things in life.

He made the statement while responding to a question on his take on badly subtitled movies shown in Nigeria.

At least seven people were killed following a fatal accident involving a trailer and other vehicles yesterday in Suleja, Niger state.

According to reports, the driver of the trailer lost control and collided with other vehicles, thereby leading to the deaths of about seven people and others injured.

The ghastly accident caused a huge scene and traffic gridlock in the area as the police and emergency officials were alerted.

The dead victims were evacuated to the mortuary and the injured, rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Nasarawa State Government on Friday said it had concluded arrangement to fly some victims of the Lafia gas explosion to South Africa for further treatment.

Governor Umaru Al-Makura stated this when the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, Yahaya Adamu paid him condolence visit at the Government House, Lafia.

Mr Al-Makura revealed that 11 out of the 36 victims of the gas explosion had died and eight others in critical condition.

He said most of the victims were being treated at the National Trauma Centre in Abuja, adding that the government was committed to ensuring that they got the best medical attention.

The governor has promised to provide land for the construction of the permanent site of the Federal Medical Centre in Keffi.

He said this was to enable the facility expansion and establish emergency centre to enable the hospital cope with large scale emergency cases such as the Lafia gas explosion.

The governor commended FMC for its various outreach programmes which he said had impacted greatly on the health of the people in the state.

Mr Al-Makura assured the hospital of the state government continued support to enable it strive to provide the best medical services to the people.

Earlier, Mr Adamu commiserated with the government and people of the state over the incident and prayed God to grant the families of the deceased victims the fortitude to bear the loss.

The chief medical director commended the state government collaboration with the hospital, a development he noted had assisted FMC, Keffi to render quality health services to the people.

He said that the hospital was working hard to improve on its emergency services to handle large scale cases.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Monaco gas station in Lafia was on Monday engulfed by fire at about 10:00a.m when the tanker offloading the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) had a leakage and went up in flames.

Dogara Dalhatu, chief fire officer of the Nasarawa State Fire Service, who confirmed the inferno, attributed it to a spark around the vicinity where the gas was being discharged.

He said that about 10 vehicles, five motorcycles and three tricycles were also destroyed by the fire.

In a bid to revive his dying music career, YAGI boss engaged the rave of the moment, Duncan Mighty on his new song “Flenjo” and it turned out to be a good one.

The whole pre-release hype about the song was all worth it as Lil Kesh worked on all the lapses in his previous releases on this one.

Unlike, “Again o” and “Apa Mi“, Lil Kesh came through with pack of matured lyrics on “Flenjo” while Duncan Mighty nailed it completely for him on his verse. Even without Duncan Mighty, the song would have still be an excellent jam though.

The song is sure a must play in all happening places, fun arena and of course a must have on everyone’s playlist.
