I've had this lady and we've been dating for like Six months, I have met with the families and vice versa and we are on the verge of getting married in a few months that time.

I met her some 6 months back and I love her so much. I put every of my effort to make sure I make her happy, because she's the the type of lady I hope to settle down with. Of recent, she had to put up with me due to the fact that she stays in a remote part Lagos and work on the island, of course which had the consent of both families and some relatives. Months into our relationship, I discovered she's the stubborn and egoistic type and I have since then called her severally to address that but all to no avail.

When ever she does anything wrong to me and I correct her, she wont feel any remorse about what she's done and will hardly say sorry. she won't talk to me or reply me whenever I talk to her, or even pick my calls or call me. I will have to beg her day after day before she finally say a word. This has been going on for a while but I keep hoping she will change, coupled with the fact that her mom do calls me to plead with me to always be calm with her, but now its as if am forcing myself on this lady. How do I tell the store that I stay under a roof with a lady and she frustrate me by not talking to me and shouts at me when any conversation ensues. God sees I have put everything of my best to make sure this relationship work, but all to no avail. Her egoistic and pride attitude is killing it and me emotionally.

2. Make a book about why you love your spouse and why you are thankful for him/her.  The woman who sent this idea wrote, “He loved it! Said it was the best gift he has ever gotten.  And it helped me to focus on the things I love about my husband and not his shortcomings.”

3. Take your sweetie on a scavenger hunt. Ask him/her to answer riddles to find the clues to items that you placed somewhere around town. The last item should give instructions that lead to your Valentine’s Day activities.

4. After enjoying a candlelight dinner for two at home, give your spouse a massage and watch a romantic movie. The woman who suggested this wrote, “Last Valentine’s Day when I got home from work, my husband … had our bedroom set up with a candlelit table for two. He is NOT a cook but he made an awesome meal … grilled steak, sautéed shrimp in lemon, garlic, and butter, a vegetable, and [he] bought a chocolate fountain that was flowing—surrounded by fresh fruit for dipping. After dinner he led me over to his homemade massage table. … We ended our special night with a romantic movie.

5. Surprise your spouse with a special getaway together. The man who suggested this made reservations at a bed and breakfast, arranged for childcare, asked for time off from work for himself and his wife, and packed his and her bags. 8. Have 11 roses delivered to your wife, and then give her a 12th yourself while reading her a love poem.

9. Fill a large box with helium balloons and special gifts for Valentine’s Day. The woman who suggested this said that her gifts included “new sleep shorts for him and a new nightgown for me, a box of chocolate-covered strawberries and red napkins ... some new candles, and a romantic CD. He got the hint. And loved the weekend.”

10. Create an intimate Valentine’s Day evening at home, without the children. The woman who suggested this idea said that she and her husband “enjoyed planning the menu, shopping for the meal, and ultimately preparing the meal together. Cooking to soft, romantic music can really be a turn on! While dining, the same soft, romantic music is a wonderful mood-setter. Dinner was followed by just the two of us having the whole dance floor, our den, to ourselves. I won’t say what all this led to, but it was a truly romantic night that would not have happened at the local restaurant!”

11. Order food from a take-out restaurant and have a picnic for all the Valentines in your family on your living room floor.  The person who suggested this said, “The kids look forward to this every year. When we tried to change it, they wouldn’t allow it ... it has become a tradition. The kids see the value of family and a loving marriage.”

12. Privacy and weather permitting, watch a romantic movie on your deck or patio.

13. If you are separated across the miles, send a care package filled with things that are red.

14. Make a meal with symbols of love. Examples: Write I love you with string beans, make a tart in the shape of a heart …

15. Hide little heart candies in your spouse’s shoes, coat, car, etc.  The woman who suggested this said that she’s been doing this for decades. “Now a couple of the grandkids help me with delight.”

16. Wives, show up at your husband’s office before lunch. Call him from the parking lot and tell him you are going to take him for a lunch rendezvous and that you will be waiting for him whenever he can take a break. Wear a nice outfit and tell him you have something sexy on underneath for when he gets home. Take him to a nice place for lunch and back to the office. Give him some great kisses telling him how glad you are to be married to him, and tell him you will be waiting for him when he gets home. 

17. Fill a jar with Valentine candy and notes for your spouse. Examples of notes are: Good for a backrub, 10 kisses, etc. Notes could also express your love and respect: “I am so glad that God blessed my life with such a great husband like you.” Individually roll each note and tie it with a ribbon.

18. Surprise your spouse by taking a vacation day from work and enjoy Valentine’s Day at home. Have a relaxing morning together on the porch, deck, or patio. Then go to a favorite restaurant for lunch.  The man who suggested this idea had also reserved a spa treatment and tanning session for his wife. “While she was doing that,” he says, “I went home and made her a special dinner.”

19. Write a poem for your spouse and frame it. 

20. On individual note cards, write why you love your spouse. Insert these cards in a small photo album.  The woman who suggested this idea began her album with a honeymoon picture and introductory note card, and ended it with a love note.

21.  Surprise your husband when he comes home from work on February 14. Place a welcome sign on the kitchen table and leave a trail of red foil-wrapped Hershey kisses to your bedroom.

22. With roses in hand and permission from your wife’s boss, go to her workplace and read a love poem to her. The woman who shared this idea said, “I am a teacher in an inner city school. Last year my husband dressed in my favorite suit and tie, came to my school with roses in hand.  He got permission and assistance from the office staff to open the speaker system into my classroom and proceeded to read a long and beautiful love poem to me.  He then came to my classroom and presented me with the bouquet of roses which I received while wiping my tears of joy and love for this wonderful man whom I have been married to for just under 30 years.”

23. Make a special “14 Reasons I Love You” Valentine’s Day breakfast for your sweetheart. On his/her plate, leave a letter or card listing 14 reasons that you love your spouse.

24.  If possible, send a card postmarked in a town that has a romantic name such as Loveland, Colorado; Valentine, Texas; or Romance, Arkansas.

25. After your spouse goes to bed, tape notes to his car’s steering wheel with reasons that you love him, or decorate the bathroom mirror with lipstick kisses or Valentine’s window clings.

Have fun on February 14, and remember: Love is not meant to be given and received on just Valentine’s Day. Instead, it’s to be practiced every single day of the entire year.

she knows well that I so much love her, so she called back begging that I shud not hurt myself and she was crying. she called early in the following morning still crying. her mum and sisters got to knw and rebuked her actions. she promised to work on her feeling and we settled again. since then, each time I asked abt the development, she always say we shud hold on to God.and be praying about it. she don't say I love u again either on fone or chat.



I'm just depressed and dejected. I wish I can brkup but I don't have the strength, I have bn captured and enslaved by love.

Dude you can kiss a fool or be kissed by a fool but never allow a kiss to fool you. Always have a 2nd and 3rd look at every 1st impression. Don't give your heart where only your body is required and don't build a house where you suppose to put a tent. Never put a temporary person in the permanent position of your life. Of course when the heart is desperate for something the eyes and the brain become powerless. Be very careful what your heart desire because many heart desires can lead to life disaster. It's hard for anyone to sit on your back if you're standing on your feet. No one can waste your time without your consent.
A promise is nothing without commitment. Pay more attention to a person's actions more than their words and when actions contradict the words you're in the wrong place. Never allow your emotions to take over your thinking. Ignorance and endurance are never the same. Be honest with yourself. Love is not a favor, never beg for it. Never beg for something you will need forever otherwise you may end up being a permanent love beggar . Anything you acquire through begging may require begging to maintain. Of course, it's very hard to let go when you're deeply in love. But it's more painful and miserable to keep holding on when you have to beg and fight for love alone. You can never keep what you don't have. Pray to GOD about your relationship but never ever use prayers where common sense is required. FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

I've been dating this lady since we left secondary school till this month. We went to different universities but then things went pretty well between us because we get to talk and the communication was absolutely perfect and wonderful.

After graduation and we were posted for nysc, we were posted to different states but i redeployed to her state because we both wanted to be close to each other.

After service, we both started working and little by little things started happening and the communication started falling, so also thr closeness. I do ask her what the issue is but she tells me nothing. After some time, i went to visit her and then i met one of her colleagues at work who was a guy and we greeted each other. While i was at her house, i noticed that the way the two of them were behaving was not making me comfortable but still i didn't leave. After about an hour or thereabout the guy decided to leave and she escorted the guy to the door and i decided to follow her which she did know of and then when she hugged the guy goodbye and was about to turn to the door to come back in the guy kissed her and when she turned her face she saw me but i didn't say anything.. It all got me annoyed but i composed myself.

After that day i met the guy there twice or thrice and then i asked her Wassup with her and this guy and she said there's nothing that they are just friends and i believed her. After then i still had issues with the same guy. We still had issues with another guy too though and my girlfriend was not bothered about it and then i just let her be and gave her some space because all she tells me is that I am too jealous.


I spoke to one of my friends about it and he told me that we should try something out to know if she still cares about me. So myself and my friend composed a message and sent to her. Her sister and her friends inviting them to my wedding with another lady. It actually worked because we spoke on the phone for hours and she said that it's her work and that she's sorry. She cried on the phone and then i later told her it was all planned. After then things went back to the way it used to be and we were both happy.

But after about three months or thereabout things started getting back to the bad way it was before the plan with my friend. I asked her again what the matter is in several occasions but she kept telling me nothing..

I requested for a time out with her and she agreed and then we talked at length and she didn't say anything in particular to what's happening..

So on my own i decided on a plan that i told her some other lady is pregnant for me and her parents are requesting me to come visit them because of their pregnant daughter. After i sent her that message, she got angry and has refused picking my calls since then and I've been apologising but she said it's over between us. After still begging for about two weeks, i decided to stop calling her because she blocked my number from calling her. But then she still uses our picture as dp on bbm.

Do you guys think I'm forcing the relationship by finding several ways to make things work out or i should just let her be since she has made her decision to break up with me??

There is this certain girl that is having a huge crush on my boyfriend of almost 5years, he himself is not helping matters cos both of them are close friends. I will like to explain to details. My bf didn't cut his friendship with this girl o! Her birthday was last month and my bf still went there and they took several pictures together which she posted on fb, I guess she's doing this so that I can see it? I was angry, I showed him the picture again and he begged me not to break up that he will explain things to me.
Did I forget to say he posted the picture they both snapped together on facebook to Celebrate his birthday last year, I asked him about it and he said the picture is his only recent picture. He invited this girl to his sister's wedding and she was all over him while I was just sitted there with a friend that followed me, what will an introvert like me do?
I don't see myself ever rubbing another guy in his face, Even is he claims he isn't cheating, can't he manage his relationship well? What will it cost him to cut his friendship with this girl, maybe she is more important than me, or he is simply keeping me for being a faithful girl he can't afford to loose?
