EducationRe: 12 Types Of Students You Will Meet In Night Classes by Willgates(m): 10:26am On Oct 06, 2014
DEGREE2466:
The following are the different categories of people you will meet in night classes in our various higher instititution.

1. Customer care agents: this category of people will keep on receiving calls from the time the came to class till the sleep off. If you sit beside them "sorry" and it is more among ladies.

2. The lookers: this category of people will make sure that they look at any slightest movement around them. If they ever see a beautiful/handsome girl/guy then they will never cease catching a glimse at her/him. You will even wonder if these people actually came to study or to observe others study.

3. The late comers: this is common among girls. When you get to class from 4-7pm, you will discover that the class is empty. They are waiting till 9:30 when their presence will be noticed.

4. The preachers: I am sure this set of people annoy every reader in that class but nobody could pick the courage to rebuke them because nobody wants to be tagged enemy of God' word. The worst part is that these preachers come to preach when they are tired of reading and want to stretch themselves.

5. The itenarant readers: they are people who move in and out of the reading room every ten minutes. Sometimes you see them walking about the corridors. In an extreme cases they can read in four to six classes in a night.

6. The unarmed robbers: yes i call them unarmed because they look very innocent when they are reading beside you waiting for the operation time. The steal things like phones, reading lamp, purse/wallet, laptops, wrist-watches, textbooks etc depending on the person's level of expertise and stealing intentions.

7. The chronic sleepers. Hmmm, this set of people will just enter the class and lay their face on the desk and sleep off. They will not open their book from the time they came in till the time they left. They are always victims of the category of people above. The bad thing about these set of people is that the snore without regards and they fart without conscience.

8. The ash-crammers: they are our first classers, they will start reading from the time they came in till dawn. Sometimes i wonder what they will be doing during the day.

9. The eaters: they will buy biscuit, virju milk, lacasera, gala, chewing gum, infact all the snacks in the world just to attend night class. You will wonder if you are in nursery class or university night class.

10. The pingers: this set of people will never let their phones be. Some will even come with upto three phone. Pressing their phone every now and then that you will wonder if they are actually studying or proof-reading.

11. The toasters: if i mention everything without mentioning our guys and babes who come to night class to look for partners then my list is incomplete. This is for people who are single and searching every night.

12. The last of it all is the couples: they will come to class together, continue talking, chatting and touching each other until they are tired then off they go. They have gone to night class.

SOURCE: Personal experience.
op are you a malabite? Lol...thought its only my school that all this things happen

adextetoo: Starting with most AGRICULTURAL RELATED courses imagine some one spending 5yrs in my uni (FUTA) to study:
Building Technology (modern bricklayers)
Agric Economics and Extension (what da Bleep does dat mean?)
Agric Extension and Communication (are you trying to understand the official language of animals and plants?, cut me some slack.
Transport Management (what is d job of dos nurtw thug bosses?)
And above all PHILOSOPHY even a 5yr old kid will do dat
Library Management (arrangining of books which you will never read) omo course plenty oooo
dude you talk like an illiterate, mention one place in which an Agricultural economics/extension cant work and i'll tell you 3 lucrative areas were they can but you can never!
If you dont understand something is better to keep shut than to display your grave ignorance and stupidity in the public.

gbenga4sure: Many are of the believe that apple cant grow in Nigeria. But this is a big lie.Apples that are sold at shops here in Nigeria have been harvested before it gets ripe. This is because these fruits spends about a week before it gets to Nigeria.Few years ago,i saw a apple tree at a family friends home.I was suprised and ask him how did it happen,he told me that he is an agriculturist and works at the state ministry of agriculture.
He also said he will help me get one.I asked how,and he said the ministry has ordered some, which got rippen from south africa and so it will germinate.Unlike the ones we buy at shops here which didnt get ripe before it was harvested.
Fellow nairalanders, few weeks ago i have gotten mine(the apple seedling) and now i have planted and it survived.
Who says apples dont grow in Nigeria because of the temperature.Dont be deceived.Apples really grow here
I look forward to having over an hectare dedicated to fruit trees cultivation. I have a passion for agriculture. Currently studying agricultural economics and extension at a southen university. Please i wish to know how i can get the seedlings and which specie to cultivate here. Happy sunday

PoliticsHow Boko Haram Leader, Abubakar Shekau Was Killed – Investigations by Willgates(op): 9:47pm On Sep 22, 2014
Details of how Abubakar Shekau, the
impostor and leader of the Boko
Haram terrorist group lost his left in
a shootout with Nigerian troops in
Konduga on Wednesday Sept. 17
emerged yesterday with military
sources disclosing that he met his
waterloo in an ambush reminiscent
of the type the sect had been using
to hack down Nigerian troops.
Vanguard gathered that when the
first attack on Konduga whereby
hundreds of insurgents were taken
unawares and killed after over seven
hours of fighting and several of their
colleagues, arms and ammunition
captured, the military commanders
strategically urged his captured
members to send a message to
Shekau that they (insurgents) have
routed the troops.
Before the captured insurgents were
urged to make the contact and
deliver the message, the military
commanders had promised them
that their cooperation would play a
role in the level of punishment to be
meted to them after the battle
hence they felt reassured.
Also, the captured insurgents had
disclosed that Shekau usually moved
in a convoy of cars painted in military
colours while he sits in a MOWAG
Armoured tank with Boko Haram
inscription on its front.
When Shekau was contacted, his
captured men spoke to him in Arabic,
assuring him that they had taken
over Konduga, thereby giving him
the all clear to proceed from Sambisa
Forest. To convince him further, a set
of his men captured were told to
sing the victory song in Kanuri
language they normally sing at the
background.
Having convinced himself that the
messenger was his chief courier in
such situation and the message is
authentic, he and his followers made
for Konduga, heavily armed with
Anti-Aircraft weapons, General
Purpose Machine Guns, several AK 47
rifles and other IEDS’.
However, on entering Konduga
town, he and his followers were
encircled by strategically placed and
heavily armed Nigerian soldiers.
Immediately he contacted the
messenger and discovered that
something was amiss, he ordered his
followers to start shooting in all
direction.
This spurred the Army Commanders
to give the directive to open fire.
When he discovered that the fire
power of the Nigerian Army who
used both Infantry and Artillery
weaponry was overpowering that of
his men, he jumped out of the
MOWAG and made to escape.
But eagle-eyed Nigerian Soldiers
spotted him and opened fire in him,
shattering his legs in the process. It
was learnt that he also received
bullet wounds in other parts of his
body leading to his bleeding to
death.
Recall that Military sources had on
Sunday night disclosed that Nigerian
troops scored a strategic victory in
the current battle against terrorists
operating in the North East on
September 17.
The sources noted that during a
desperate attempt to capture
Konduga in their delusion to
eventually marching on and
capturing Maiduguri, the man who
had been mimicking Late Abubakar
Shekau in recent videos was feared
to have been finally killed.
The sources said, “It is getting more
certain that the terrorists’
Commander who has been
mimicking Shekau in those videos is
the one killed in Konduga on
September 17, 2014.”
Affirming the development,
PRNigeria sources said the
suspected demise of the Boko Haram
leader is responsible for the
scattering of the sect members in
different independent locations in
the neighbouring countries,
especially in Cameroon noticed in
recent days.
The security sources noted further
that “the process of confirming that
the dead body we have is the same
as that character who has been
posing as Shekau is ongoing” adding
“He is definitely a prominent
terrorist commander. I don’t want to
say anything about this yet please.”
Another high ranking military source
insisted that the resemblance is too
striking to be a coincidence.
“They cited his facial marks, beards
and teeth apart from the recovery by
the Nigerian troops of some of the
Armoured Vehicles and Hilux jeeps
that had featured in previous videos
of the prime suspect.
“The officers assured that the
Defence Headquarters will soon
address the nation after full
investigation of their latest
discovery”.
Meanwhile, the Defence
headquarters yesterday dismissed
insinuation that Cameroonian
military personnel carried out raids
on Boko Haram terrorists into border
communities in Nigeria.
According to a report posted on its
twitter handle, DHQ said “There was
no raid whatsoever in any part of
Nigeria’s territory in pursuit of
terrorists as claimed in some reports
allegedly quoting Cameroon military
authorities”.
“All operations ongoing in the
environs of Konduga & all associated
border location within the country
are completely being undertaken by
Nigerian troops” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/09/boko-haram-leader-abubakar-shekau-killed-investigations/
