this match is too soon. Well, given how complacent they were in Calabar, Let's hope they saved the energy for tonight and not the beautifully irresistible calabar girls.

What's this foolishness? Why are you spamming my thread?
Family20 contemporary Ibibio Names And Their Meanings by Willgates(op):
I don't know how best to begin
this thread but I guess I'll just
begin it anyway.
But hey! before I start, some
people especially in the western
region tend to mistake Akwa Ibom
for Calabar, Ibibio for efik.(see
why history /geography is vital? ). Funny enough, they refer to every part of cross-river and Akwa-ibom state as "Calabar" lmao...
Now Akwa ibom is a state carved
out of Cross River state (Capital-
calabar) with Uyo as It's capital
and Ibibio as her major language.
Understood? Let's get down to the
biz of the night.
Below are some Ibibio names and
their meanings. I call them the 21st century names lol
(you can substitute the "obong"
for "Abasi" it'll still mean the same
thing -God)
1) Imaobong- God's love
2) Eno-obong- God's gift
3) Ndifreke-obong- I'll never
forget God
4) Uyai - beauty
5) Inemesit (Inem for short)-
Happiness
6) Idara- Joy
Edidiong- blessing
9) Idoreyin -hope.
10) Oto-obong-from God
11) Emem-obong- God's peace
12) mfon-obong- God's favor
13) Itoro-obong-God's praise
14) Ini-obong- God's time
15)ekom-obong- thank God
16) Ime -patience
17) Nfoniso- Goodluck
18) Adiaha (more like a title)- first
daughter
19)Udeme- my share
20) Idongesit-consolation

I tried! you can add the ones you want to know the meaning and I'll tell you ASAP. oya leggo!

FamilyMy Hubby Has Excessive Urge –divorce-seeking Housewife by Willgates(op): 9:31am On Nov 15, 2013
housewife, Lami Shaibu, yesterday,
urged a Grade 1 Area Court, Aso
Pada, Mararaba, Nasarawa State,
to dissolve her marriage to her
blind husband, Ibrahim, for
alleged excessive sexual urge.
Lami, 38, of Aso Pada told the
court that she was no longer
interested in the 15-month-old
marriage.
She said: “I urge the court to
dissolve this marriage because I
can’t stand his excessive sexual
urge. He likes sex too much, I
can’t bear it.
“Since I got married to him, there
is no peace in the house, he
always beats me, he doesn’t
forgive and does not provide food
for the house.
“Most times, he would have sex
with me from midnight till early
hours of the morning, even when I
am crying, he will not stop.”
Lami said: “It is because of his too
much sexual demands that made
me to move away from him. I now
stay at my marriage guardian’s
house at Aso Pada, Mararaba.”
Ibrahim, 56, who resides at the
same address with Lami, denied
the allegation, saying: “I still love
her with the whole of my heart.
“I, therefore, urge the court to give
me time to reconcile with my wife.
I believe she and I can settle the
matter amicably.”
The judge, Malam Danladi Musa,
adjourned the case to November
18, for settlement or continuation
of hearing.
SportsJob Offers Flood In For Keshi by Willgates(op): 9:26am On Nov 15, 2013
Super Eagles manager Stephen
Keshi will not be easily prized
away from his current job, despite
a troubled relationship with his
current boss.
Until recently, the former Super
Eagles captain worked for over
seven months without pay, after
guiding his side to the Africa Cup
Nations (AFCON) title in February.
*Eagle’s coach, Keshi
As expected, potential suitors
jumped at the opportunity to make
offers with substantial financial
rewards, but Keshi remains
insistent on staying put due to his
love for his homeland.
“It is the love that I have for my
country that has kept me in this
place ever since,” Keshi said to
SuperSport when asked why he is
putting up with ill-treatment from
the Nigerian FA.
“I go outside into the shops and
markets and ordinary Nigerians in
the streets are thanking me and
asking God to continue to bless
me. It humbles me. It makes me
realise the responsibilities I have
to these people and I keep at the
job.
“I also have a fantastic group of
young footballers, who I sincerely
do not want to abandon at this
moment.”
He added: “I have four offers on
the table for me that will triple my
wages but because of the reasons
I have given I have told those
offers to please go elsewhere.
“Where else in this world do you
hear or read of a successful team
having their bonuses slashed?
When one thinks about it like that
it shows how incongruous the
whole thing looks really.”
SportsRude Shock Awaits Nigerians Tomorrow by Willgates(op): 9:17am On Nov 15, 2013
Ethiopia coach Sewnet Bishaw has
vowed his men will give whatever
it takes to overturn a first-leg
defeat when they take on Nigeria
in their World Cup play-off on
Saturday.
Ethiopia hope to continue their
surprising World Cup journey
when they face Nigeria in the
return leg, despite a 2-1 loss at
home in mid-October.
Bishaw said: “This is the biggest
match of my life. I want to win it.
I’ll fight to the maximum.
Sewnet Bishaw, Ethiopia Coach
“There’s no problem in my squad.
All of my players are fit and the
mood in the camp is very high.
Everybody is waiting for the kick-
off whistle.”, the coach told BBC.
Nigeria won the first leg in Addis
Ababa courtesy of a brace from
Emanuel Emenike and the Super
Eagles are clear favourites to book
a place at next year’s tournament
in Brazil, which would be their fifth
appearance at a finals.
However, Bishaw is confident his
side can come back.
“I’m 100% confident of
overturning the result. I’ll only
play for a win. Football involves a
defeat and a win. We’re defeated
in the first leg doesn’t mean we’ll
be defeated in the second leg,” he
said.
“I’ve not finished the match. I’ve
90 minutes left to play. I’ll fight
for a 2-0 win or for a 2-1 to take
it in to extra-time. So, I want to
remind them that it’s not over
yet.”
Bishaw revealed he will leave it
until the last moment possible to
select his side in the quest to take
the east Africans to their first
finals.
The big boost for Bishaw is the
return of his joint top scorer,
Getaneh Kebede. The striker
missed the first leg of the play-
offs because of an ankle injury.
“The return of Getaneh is really
great news. I’ve seen him in
training. He’s fit and will definitely
have a role in the battle” Bishaw
said.

you anti-catholics should please let this people be. It's rather too irresponsible insulting other people's believes. I am not a Catholic but my doctrine has taught me never to speak ill or condemn other people's religion as it's a matter of consciousness. Hold on to whatsoever you are conscious of, be dedicated in it. Your prayer every morning should be. "God,don't let temptations come into my consciousness, deliver me from evil!"
