Is this a private estate ?
If so what makes the Police Commissioner think that he can not be stopped from entering the estate?
Does the CP live at the estate?
Does the CP have the right to enter someone's private estate without permission?
Can the CP enter my house without my permission?
I need answers to these questions immediately.
Where did u read that CP was entering someone's house and where did you also read that it was a private estate? Read well before typing rubbish.

You still haven't said what is wrong in delaying the CP. What makes the security guard "ordinary"? Can u pls tell us who is qualified to clean the CPs shoes and what that qualification might be? How does asking the CP to wait while they confirm where he is going to a crime as far as the statute books of Nigeria is concerned?
An ordinary private security guards want to confirm where the CP of a state is going to in an estate and you kept him and his entourage waiting for 30 MINUTES and u saw nothing wrong with that? Haba. Make we dey use our brain dey reason now. CP na your mate? So if a Governor or even the President come there with their entourage, they will still stop them for 30 minutes to confirm where they are going abi?

If you know the main reason why igbos are denied presidency is because they are tribalists. An igbo man will prefer to bring his brother to rule lagos than its indegenes thats why they see them as a potential threat even RENO OMOKRI confirmed this.Yorubas are the most detribalized and accomodating nigerians
Guy for you to say that Igbos are tribalistic, two things are involved. It either you don't know the Igbos very well or you don't know the meaning of tribalism.

Simply because we have witness many scenario in this country where terrorists will disquised as service chiefs to penetrate their target, those guy need to be encouraged.
On the part of the security guard also respect begat respect, once they have identified cP they ought to have done the needful and give him his compliment appropriately.
Terrorist disguising as Service Chief? Where e happen? Have u seen a service Chief entourage before? Even a CP's entourage is huge. Those security guards needed to be taught harsh lessons.

Exactly. The most detribalised tribe in this country is the igbos. How many Yorubas attend churches headed by an igbo pastor. Yorubas will open a church and the igbos will fill the church even when it is obvious that they are being scammed. Name them, Living Faith, Redeem, Deeper life, Coza, House on the Rock and even Enenches Dumamis are filled with igbos. Yet we are not appreciated. Who did this to us? Can't we use our senses? Imagine what someone called a Pastor is saying on the pull pit. If he can say this publicly, then u can imagine what he does and says about the igbos behind the scene. Shame on us.

The second sect of security men was posted to show the CP that there are enough security on ground. They were doing odeshii for the CP. In return the CP arrested them to so as to let them knowing that he is the CP. I love the CP jare.

festacman:
People get overly emotional and even hypocritical over this issue because a police officer is involved.

1. The Commissioner of Police Odumosu didn't need to give advance information of his coming to the Estate security men because it would be stupid to for him state his movement. Of course, giving such information would require the CP's security details to secure the Estate gate security until he arrives.

2. On arrival at the Estate gate and having PROPERLY identified himself as CP of Lagos State, he ought to have been allowed in immediately. Keeping him at the gate is unnecessarily exposing him to possible attack by criminals. Even a military formation would know better than keep a properly identified CP exposed to danger at its entry point.

3. CP Odumosu didn't need to tell the Estate security men the exact house he was going to before being allowed in. That's a classified information until his details secures the house for his safety.

4. Deliberately tagging the CP's visit as social to denigrate him is pure IGNORANCE because even a 'common' DPO is always listening to his radio equipment and giving directives anywhere he is. The fact is that when not on official leave, a CP is at work everywhere and every time.

5. I doubt if the police singled out that widow for arrest for nothing. She may have jumped into the matter and said unsavoury things. Being a resident in an Estate, I am familiar with some 'radical' busybody residents that would jump into issues without complete knowledge.

6. The truth is this incident was avoidable if only the Estate security was more professional and less power-conscious. Their unprofessional attitude activated power-tussle mode in the OFFICIAL state police force to show their constitutional superiority. The irony in this drama is that when armed criminals show up at the Estate, it is the official state police men that are called in to risk their lives.

7. By the way, is an estate which has individually-owned houses a private property or a community? If Magodo Brooks is NOT owned and rented out by one person as its private owner, is there any difference between this Estate and for example Ajegunle in the eyes of the law?

8. Yes, Nigeria police has many outright criminals as members but it is still the only one we have to enforce law and order and maintain security.
God Bless u Bros. You took the words off my mouth with this ur concise analysis. Some of these private security guards can be very stupid, annoying and over zealous. If not, how can one keep a CP of the state with his entourage waiting for even a second because u want to ascertain where he was going to in an estate. You dey mad!!huhhuhhuh We are not talking of DCO, DPO, ACP or DCP. We are talking of the CP.

If na me, they for hearam hotter. As soon as some of these private security men wear their iniform, they will begin to equate themselves and rub shoulder with the police. They even call themselves uniform personnel. Am sure that they must have known that every uniform get level.

As for that woman, she go don dey run mouth for matter wey no concern her without knowing she was talking to the most powerful CP in Nigeria. She go don learn her lesson too.

I am not a Policeman nor am I related to a policeman, but I hate it when people are sheer stupid in their dealings.

And why does a pastor want to be a traditional king? He should learn to set his priorities right.
What is wrong with that. This is another platform to preach and expand the word. His actions and utterances as a monarch is enough to shine the light. People will come to him with cases and issues day in day out. His ability to use the Bible to correct and handle cases will give glory to God. As a Pastor he must be upright in handling issues. Not like my own monarch that collects kick back from left right and center because he has no fear of God in him. This is surely a blessing to Idoma people. Mind you, am not a deeper life member. Be at least many of them that I know try to be upright.

Golan007:
Why?

Why should CAF move a traditional tournament because of European clubs?

One day you would even accept when they say we should scrap it.

Nonsense.
In 1970s 80s and 90s this tournament can hold and none or just one or two European clubside will have issues releasing African players in their clubs, because at that time we have very few Africans playing in Europe. Even then the African players in Europe many not be first team players. So at that time their clubs can afford to release them without a blink.

But things have changed now. African players are all over Europe playing important roles in big clubs. Many of them are very indispensable. Ok. Look at Liverpool for instance. In their match against Chelsea today two Africans scored the only two goals by Liverpool. You can imagine how much these players mean for them. If they had gone to AFCON since, Liverpool would have lost this game today.

These African players mean so much to their clubs. The clubs are paying them heavily. They are huge investment.

CAF should have realized this long ago and change the date for the AFCON to the end of the season so as to reduce or completely eliminate the squabble between European clubs and African Football Federation.

Can tinubu really win 2023 presidential election if he contest? As for me I prefer the young people in person like Gov, yahaya Bello of kogi State he has the capacity to change the narrative of the system
Which Party will present Yaya Bello as presidential candidates? If you are a party stalwart, will u be pleased to have him as ur candidate? As a governor his performance is below average. He has no pedigree at all.

Apart from that he is a minority. An igbira man. It will take by the grace of God for igbira to govern kogi again not to talk about Nigeria.

Jonathan is from the minority and we know how he became the president. It was by chance. If Yaradua did not die, it would have be difficult for Jonathan to be president. Same way it would have been difficult for Yaya Bello to be kogi governor if Audu did not die.

As a minority, you must have pedigree and exceptionally good for at least two of the three major tribes to accept you before you become President.

I can see that you are very bitter with the truth. Truth is bitter. You want someone to keep telling u that Tinubu will be President in 2023 when it is very obvious that it won't work. Osibanjo, a Christian has a very high chance of being President than Tinubu a Muslim. For Yorubas to produce President under APC, they have only two candidates, Osibanjo and Fayemi. These two have better chances than Tinubu.

Because over 50% of the Yorubas are Muslim and the North tends to vote along religious lines(north is against northern Christian being president), they'd support Yorubas. But again,
the North knows that if Igbos leave, there's no Nigeria so they're threading carefully.

The North are afraid of the Igbos than any other nationality and rightfully so. The North has got it coming!
PDP is desperate to take power back from APC that is why they are not going on rotation. If APC gives Tinubu ticket, PDP will go north. They will give their ticket to Atiku, Kwankwaso or Tambuwal. If that happens, APC will lose the election because the north will vote for their own. South South will go with PDP, south east will for PDP. Tinubu will be left with south west and the votes will still be divided. How about that?
PoliticsRe: 2023 Presidency: Tinubu Working On Declaration Date –DG Campaign Council by WillyDave: 10:48pm On Jan 02, 2022
Tinubu's ambition to rule Nigeria will not work because he is a Muslim. Who will he pick as his running mate? Another Muslim from the north? That will not work. PDP will capitalize on that. APC can not risk that. Nigeria is so divided along religious line now that Muslim Muslim ticket or Christian Christian ticket can never ever work. As at the time Abiola picked Kingibe as his running mate, things were not as bad as it is today. And the north will never allow Tinubu to pick a northern Christian either.

CAF should have found a way to play the AFCON around July/August, so as to have a win-win situation.
If I were football manager, I won't release any players. Imagine Liverpool loosing her key talismen. And it's not like these CAF or African FA would compesete players.
Saka, Alli, Abraham all made the best decision of their lives in shunning NFF
I concur with you. This tournament is a serious distraction for club sides and I don't blame the if the are reluctant to release their players. CAF should have this tournament played at the end of the season not at the middle of the season when the leagues have become so hot. Some clubs are contending for the titles, others are battling for top 4 finish while others are fighting relegation. This is a crucial time. Every club needs her regular players especially now. I do not blame these clubs, I blame CAF for all this.
