If you are as old as I am you would recall the Thermocool advert that Hazeem Kae- Kazim did in the early 90s. His deep voice "you call them beautiful, we call them thermocool" .

PhonesRe: Rooting Tecno F7 by WillyWest: 1:12pm On Jun 09, 2013
HOLLASLYD: For those of you that gets the restore screen as a result of continuous restore of binary and other oneclick packages that proved abortive, I will upload the stock rom or pre rooted rom flashable through clockworkmod recovery which am working to port to this device soon. Ironically, I only have this weekend free. Hope it gets done by night at least
Pls bro am new to Rooting, but i think you explanation seems straight forward, however pls could you send a link on where to download the ERoot-10.14.exe.

Bros please can you educate the house on how you did it, have you test run it long enough to ensure there are no hassles? You could also drop a phone number to go with it in case we run into difficulties.
PhonesRe: Tecno F7 (Phantom A1) Discussion Thread by WillyWest: 5:46pm On Jun 08, 2013
klens: the phone do charge while using it just that the charging rate is slow unlike when screen is off. and mine doesn't get heat up unless I'm using and charging it with power bank. f7 charged with power bank doesn't last like normal electric charging. and my battery does not last again like before, what could be the problem? is it the installed applications on my device? or my go weather widget?which battery saver do you use and do avast antivirus consumes power? someone should answer me
True that, true that. I wanna believe this battery issue is general. I noticed it even the first day I used it, tho I just tot I was over imagining things. I also read somewhere that its a flaw that comes with the JELLY BEANs OS, there they recommended a root for the SGS3 (an SGS3 that had been OTA with JELLY BEANS of course) they were working with. So please has anyone come up with a way to root? I've never been a fan of rooting but this is a must do if we are to get the full benefit of this Phantom.

uche16: they cant share it here cos of the size limit enforced on this forum and the picture size would be about 4mb except if itis cropped if you want to see the picture in all its clarity and glory not the cropped rubbish they would post here, tell the guy to post it on his facebook page
Uche is right, its giving me an error response when I I tried to send the pics. Bottom line tho is that its OK for outdoors, indoors too but make sure there is decent amount of light. For an amateur it gets the job done but if you are crazy about extra quality especially for low light snaps, guy go get lumia 920.

uche16: Please i need testimonies on the camera,is it really good because i take a lot of pictures, somebody should give us detailed analysis of the camera
Got mine on wednesday in Ife, It has a 8mp HD camera so the pics are good quality lots of settings on the camera for you to adjust to your taste. With the amount of pixels it has you can zoom your pics and it would still be clear .However I must state that while outdoor pics would come out sweet, the camera is very poor in low light ( am talking of if u wanna snap without the flash, you know that kind of discreet snapping ) am still gonna look up ways to tweek that in the settings tho. smiley
PoliticsRe: African viewpoint: 'Thank goodness for colonialism' by WillyWest: 11:17am On Nov 27, 2012
Wonderful post @op, I bet every one who went thru this post would definitely pic up something new. However colonialism as the word itself implies does not carry an European face. Excluding Egypt and Ethiopia whose histories date way back to the times of the Sumerians, Arcadians and other ancient races, other countries like Mali and its great Sankore University, Tunisia, Borno and Sokoto Caliphate owe their existense and fame to Arab invader who were spreading their own Islamic civilization. So we are back at square one (you are condemning Europeans yet forgeting that even the Arabs were doing the same thing too), and believe me the Arabs apart from the unifying religion think little of the black man, the Arab word for the black man is Abeed (a word that means slave) go and ask black Africans in Lybia.

Hate it or love it no system is perfect but I believe Western civilization has done more good than harm.

FamilyRe: Our Kids And Modern Cartoons. by WillyWest: 11:53am On Oct 15, 2012
What you call cartoons of nowadays are targeted for matured audiences. You see them being aired on cinemas and co for general viewing. If u don't want negative influence on kids make sure u watch it first before they do. In my opinion and depending on the age bracket of the child. "Barney and Friends" and "Sesame's street" are the best educational kidshow out there for kids below 7.
RomanceRe: What Nerds Don't Know About Women? by WillyWest: 3:19pm On Apr 16, 2012
agnesefe: @op
Much as one is irked to discomfort of the "nerd" label and the derivatives of such ascription, let me offer posers why this may appear to be the case. Take the instance of a post-doc research fellow immersed with the formulation or refinement of protocols and procedures, or, the geek, overtaken by the imperative to obtain flawless scripts and codes for a process or system. These individuals, by virtue of their indulgence have become strained, on the concept, education and assurance of viable and verifiable returns from the investment of time in their fields- a grant, an award, a better process, more recognition and self-fulfillment-in so far as compliance with their respective conventions and principles are concerned. Apropos, these constitute, for many, justifiable ends in themselves and means to other ends.

Now encounter the uncharted terrain that the cultivation of amorous “relationships” demands or expects-chance, uncertainty, vagaries that define the human- a source of simultaneous attraction and repulsion, unverifiable complements on the nature or presence of that exercise. Anyone given to the comfort or habituation in the definite would be apprehensive or less excited at the thought of travelling a route filled much unpredictability, with little promise on ROI. Yes, escapism, it may be called, but if you recall that of all primal motivations, self-preservation ranks preponderant, then such preferences can be understood.
Chai Agnes, the grammatical prowess to which the above write up was penned borders on the Obahiagbonish.
PoliticsRe: We Didn't Threaten To Kill Jonathan - Boko Haram (transcript Of Youtube Video) by WillyWest: 12:18pm On Apr 15, 2012
javalove: I am a Muslim and I can tell you that these Boko guys are confused. . .deluded and know nothing about islam. . .

A MATYR IS NOT SOMEONE WHO GOES OUT TO DIE OR KILL HIMSELF OR WRAP A BOMB AROUND HIS BODY!!!.. . .A MATYR DIES IN THE PROCESS OF STRUGGLE. . .NOT NESSECARILY WAR . .I COULD EVEN BE IN THE CAUSE OF HELPING OTHERS OR A COMMUNITY SERVICE. . .

The Holy Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him) taught us that "The ink of a scholar is holier than the blood of a matyr". . .so seek knowledge because if you are able to seek knowledge and you choose not to, you carry a full sin.

He also said that "Seek knowledge, even if it s as far as China". . .because China was the fartherest place known to them at that time. . . .

Allah knows best. . .and he will expose whoever is behind them someday.

Finally, am I the only one thinking this whole Boko setup is taking the exact pattern of Al-Qaeda. . .?

#Javalove. . .unless otherwise stated. . .!
Nice one Javalove. That's the voice of a true muslim. With pple like you around there is still hope. May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
PoliticsRe: PAY YOUR TRIBUTE TO SERGENT SUNDAY BADUNG by WillyWest: 6:50pm On Feb 17, 2012
Sgt Badang was a great man. Pple raining insults on him are being insensitive. The confidence with which he approached the bomb was evidence that he had been doing the risky business before now. In the force u take orders and do Ɣ☺ΰ‎‎r job. If u are to rain insults or blame anyone then blame the FG for not providing state of the art equipment to tackle this menace, despite the huge budget on security NPF defuses bombs with bare hands and ₪☺ protection (fact). Bear also in mind that the bomb was remotely detonated, do not assume it was his touch that detonated it as someone placed it in the said location. My only prayer is for this video to get to the relevant qtrs and the govt takes proactive steps to stop a reoccurence else his death wld be in vain.
May his soul rest in peace.

BusinessRe: Jonathan Revives Atomic Energy Commission (Nuclear Power Generation) by WillyWest: 3:39pm On Sep 16, 2011
This will be my last here;

Nigeria is a country rich with vast amount of crude oil and coal. But what do these two resources have in common?
Yes, you guessed it they are non-renewable, they pollute the environment, they cause global warming and the singular use of these have lead to the drastic climate changes being experienced world over. Am sure the recent flooding in Lagos and Ibadan readily comes to mind, BTW its on record as the highest singular rainfall in recent times. Most world government are advocating nations to reduce reliance on these sources, for the sake of posterity.

This is the reason we are now having the Asians inventing electric powered cars and the like. FYI a school of thought also has it that continual removal of resources from the ground creates vacuums underground which in turn creates fault lines and earthquakes, so with your continual exploration dont be suprised if (God forbid) quakes start happening in our beloved country.

Apart from all these the Nuclear industry will also lend its many applications to health, agriculture, research and development. Just to mention a few.

I do not blame many for the reservations they have for anything nuclear bearing in mind the first nuclear application was a bomb in Japan decades ago.
I maintain that its time for world government to break these oil cartels, the future is green and clean energy.

I humbly rest my case.
BusinessRe: Jonathan Revives Atomic Energy Commission (Nuclear Power Generation) by WillyWest: 1:25pm On Sep 16, 2011
Nuclear plant in Nigeria yes!!!!! for all those narrow minded people who dont wish Nigeria well, i think is high time you stop looking down on your nation. FYI, Ghana has a plan to go Nuclear underway. Later these same guys will be the same to say Ghana celebrated 10yrs uninterupted power. For me i say, if not now then when? you scared of Chernobyl? have you considered that more people have died in plane crashes than all the three nuclear accidents put together? has anyone come out to ban use of aircrafts. Guys the time is now face it.

You say the tech is so advance? i say no its been around for over 60yrs.

You say countries are backing out? i say no Germany is using that to play on pples emotion on Fukushima to win cheap votes. Give them five years and they will regret what decision they took.

You say the President is mad? well its such mad decisions that placed the US flag on the moon.

You say the IAEA wont support? well they are already incharge of manpower training.

People keep refering to Fukuashima, incase you didnt do geography Nigeria is not earthquake prone, so forget Tsunami, give another excuse.
