This statement is the dumbest statement ever made by a government official. How can the FBI track every one of the trillions of dollar bills printed. With what technology? Is there GPS transmitter in every dollar bill?
Nigeria has the dumbest government officials in the world.

Biden is far better at debates than Trump. Even Trump himself acknowledged that before their last debates in 2020.

To me Agric should take second place to Education. Education is backbone of a modern society. You can predict the future of a country by its present level of education cum literacy. Nigeria educational standards is falling at an alarming rate. The government did not plan to build one new classroom block not to talk of one new school.
Then power, I would have expected Tinubu to complete the Mambilla power project in order to boost our energy supply. The Mambilla dam can add 3,000 Mw to our power grid.

It seems the Tinubu government has no agenda, no developmental or economic plan. They are just planing projects haphazardly without a preconceived goal.

Nothing for the Niger Delta. Only Edo State in the South South that was awarded any project

On Day 2 of the FEC meeting, approval was given for the award of contract for the equalisation of Lokoja-Benin Road, Okpela Section, Lokoja-Benin, Dualised Auchi Section -Uromi Link Road and Lokoja-Benin Road, Ekpoma Section. It was on this road that a fuel tanker fell into high water recently, with villagers having to swim to rescue the occupants of the tanker. The reconstruction will be financed by BUA Cement at a cost of N120 Billion under the tax credit scheme.

19. Council approved contracts to various contractors to build roads and bridges in Kaima-Tesse, Kwara State, Benin-Agbor, BeninByepass and Ngaski-Wara in Kebbi State. All the four contracts will cost N546 billion.
And the project is to be financed by BUA cement under a tax credit scheme. Us the FEC telling us that BUA pays over 120 billion yearly in taxes, I am confused.

Over 70% is of benefit to Abuja and Lagos. Even the ones outside Abuja and Lagos somehow benefits these two states. Nothing at all for the South East, nothing for the Niger delta. One would think Nigeria begins and ends with Abuja and Lagos. Imagine the East-West Road that the Niger Delta people have been screaming for decades is conspicuously missing.

Now the most important thing is what is the total cost of all these projects and how will be money be raised. I project the total cost of all these will be over N10 trillion. Did they pass through the procurement process? I mean did the award of these contract follow the procurement act of 2007? Did the National Assembly budget for these projects?
Lots of unanswered questions.

Because Wike wants to take a cue from Tinubu and become the Jagaban of Rivers State. The problem is he did not ask Tinubu for lessons on how to control governors and politicians who refuse to fall in line. He thinks everything is gra gra. Also he did not put into consideration that Rivers State is a multi tribal state unlike Lagos State that is wholly Yoruba.

Good one from the governor! Let all Southern governors wake up to this line of thought and collectively work on it.
Confederal system of government would work perfectly for Nigeria and not only improve the rate of growth and development among the states, but speed it up.
In Confederalism, more power is vested within the constituent administrative divisions of a country, while the centre is weak.
That's what Nigeria needs at this point in time. With that, every state can develop at its own pace.
Presidential and Federal systems have outlived their usefulness in Nigeria and lost their spark.
You are very correct, a sort of confederate system whereby power is vested within the constituent administrative division is ideal, but its not practical given our checkered history, our ability to abuse power and greed. It will be a complete state of anarchy. We would have 36 mini empires ruled by authoritarian rulers instead of the absolute single Emperor as is the case today. Imagine people like Wike, Uzodinma, Ganduje, etc, having absolute control over a police or paramilitary force they would not only oppress their political opponents, they would suppress their people.

As I said in a proper democracy whereby the states assemblies and the courts can check the powers of the governor, it can work. In Nigeria, the legislature is an appendage of the government, while the courts are powerless, afraid to defy a governor.

That's the paradox of the Nigerian society, an illiterate who had never been to a university understands basic economics, while a first class accountant from a US university does not understand basic macroeconomics.
Buhari correctly predicted that floating the currency for an undeveloped and unproductive economy like Nigeria would lead to economic crisis.

I even doubt that our first class US trained accountant can have a one on one interview with foreign journalists to discuss his economic ideas and policies.

Okay here is my perspective: I have worked for many years in both Nigeria and UK and I have been a company director in UK. I also imported items into BNigeria and into UK from China. I also imported into Nigeria from UK. I can confidently tell you that the import charges are lower in Nigeria when you compare using exchange rates. Company taxes are lower in UK when compared to Nigetia but PAYE tax and VAT is higher in UK, far far higher, than Nigeria.

Import duties in Nigeria depends on the items you are importing. Duties on items like vehicles, rice, flour are higher in Nigeria than in the UK. Maybe the items you are importing into Nigeria command lower duty/taxes. Remember duties are calculated based on the cost price of the item, so exchange rate will not necessarily matter.

As I reiterated, official taxes are way higher in the UK, but if you now add unofficial and illegal taxes collected by the various governments - local, State and federal, you will see thar we pay much higher taxes.
For example, Local Government officials came to my wife's shop (a small eatery) just last week, They brought a bill of N25k for health inspection and some other fees. My wife's business has been poor this year given the high cost of flour, sugar, butter/margarine, etc. From a staff of three, she only have one girl working in the shop. This is apart from other taxes from state and federal government she is expected to pay yearly.

If you have imported items into Nigeria, then tell me how much you paid in getting your container from the ports to your warehouse. Now, if your warehouse is in Lagos or Ogun State, then maybe the cost of transportation to your warehouse would be lower than that of the UK, but if you are transportating to Aba, Kano or Abuja, the amount of illegal taxes/fees right from the port gate to each police check point, custom/quarantine check point, etc., in addition to the transportation would be far higher than that you will pay to get your warehouse in the UK.

Nobody can lecture me on high taxes. The west changes more taxes than Africans. They never amended the law. It is still as Jonathan signed it. Yes individuals are not included and CBN was wrong in doing so. But Jonathan signed the law.

I am a business man that have running my own businesses for over 20 years. Furthermore, I lived in the UK for a short period, so I can compare the taxes between both countries. Yes, official taxes in the west are higher than that of Nigeria and poor African countries in general, but that's very deceptive. If you take account hidden, unofficial, illegal and unofficial taxes, Nigerians pay way more taxes than the west.

First and foremost, as an import dependent country, import duties are way higher than those of the west. Import duties on essential food such is rice is 60%, that on flour is 70%. Then there are other duties and levies just to clear your container from the ports.

To set up businesses is another ball game entirely, you are expected to deal with so many government parastatals, both federal and state with each collecting one fee or the other. I run a logistics business, I have to pay for road Worthiness certificate every 6 months for every vehicle. That's apart from numerous other particulars I have to renew yearly, ie CMR, Hackney permit, and even proof of ownership is to be renewed yearly now. If you are running a commercial transportation business, you will pay over 30% of your daily earnings on various types of taxes both legal and illegal. Then there is the ubiquitous 7.5% VAT
All these are apart from SMS charges, stamp duty charges, etc on electronic bank transfers.

Only stupid person say what you just wrote. What’s the purpose of making a law? Was Jonathan drinking whisky when he signed it?
Don't fall for the propaganda of the Emilokans, president Jonathan did not sign any law that says we should all donate 0.05% of all our transactions to the National Security adviser. These are now addictions to the 2015 act signed by Jonathan.
In the 2015 act only certain businesses which were listed in schedule 2, were required to pay the cybersecurity levy and not the general public and it was not paid to the national security adviser.

See this lecture of 5 years ago by senator Alan Alda on how high taxes are killing African countries.

Technically, they didn't need Stormy to testify, but the Prosecution has a good case why her Testimony was necessary. It was a good decision.

1.) Trump's attorney's made a tactical mistake. In opening statements, they argued that Stormy was lying about having sex with Trump. Because they did that, it allowed the Prosecution to go into further details/description of what happened to rehab their witness and prove she wasn't lying. Trump's attorneys could have easily stipulated that they did have Sex and left it there and the Judge wouldn't have agreed to further details coming out. I think the decision was borne of both not having a defense and Trump probably telling them to attack Stormy. He was worried more about the political optics of admitting he slept with a Porn Star while his wife was pregnant than the court case. And it hurt him.

2.) Trump has claimed he didn't know about the payment to Stormy and at the same time if the payment was made it was made for Personal reasons not Political reasons. So, by Stormy telling her story, it allowed the Jury to understand why Trump was so concerned about letting the story come out weeks before the election. Look at the uproar it's caused now.. imagine if it was right after the "pussy grabber" tape was released. So, her details bolstered their case - He paid her off to hide it for political reasons.

That's what MAGA members would never understand. Since Trump and his defense insist that no sex took place, it became imperative for the prosecution to prove that sex indeed took place. And to prove sex did take place, stormy Daniel would need to provide the circumstances that led to the sex and even details of the sex itself. I was even expecting her to give us the exact shape and size of his Dìck.

The defense played into the hands of the prosecution.

The charge is not about hush money, trump is not disputing paying stormy. Please keep up. Must you feed on any BS as long as its against trump?
Why did Trump pay the hush money since he kept insisting he never has sex with the woman? And why was the documents falsified to cover up the payments.

I know Trump is your role model. I would never let someone that holds trump as a role model near my daughter or even any member of my family.

You sound like you have been living under the rock. He has been stripped off his royal duties. In fact, he rejected it. He is here for the camera but you choose to live under a rock.

You seem to be very hateful person, you just hate for no reason.
Prince Harry was never stripped of his royal duties, he took permission from Queen Elizabeth II that he wants to quit working as a royal, because he was tired of the intense scrutiny of his private life and the intense criticism of his wife by the British press, and the hostility from other members of the Royal family, and also because he want to relocate to the US with his wife to live a quiet life.

Whenever he travels back to the UK, he is still treated as a royal.

He travelled to the UK three days ago for a thanksgiving service for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games and he was well received by the London crowd.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIkAtCpJty8?si=YBj7z-HoW41hG0H1
Harry's problems are with the British press and the Royal family. Their main grouse is him marrying a divorced black American. This reminded the Royal family of the scandal their great uncle King Edward VIII, who abdicated the throne in 1939 to marry an American divorcee. I don't think the British royal family has not gotten over that trauma.

That's old. Why bring that when it is not relevant to the case? If you are in a court for armed falsifying documents, how does a bathroom talk you had decades ago connect with it?

How does all this you mentioned connect with the document even if Eugene Carol did not actually prove he raped her according to the jury?

What evidence did she show to prove sexual assault? But again, how is that connected to this case?

In the case of Stormy Daniel (and Karen Mcdougal), it was important that the prosecution prove thar sex (consensual) did take place. Because Trump has been lying (as usual) that he never met that woman. If no sex took place, then it would be difficult convincing the jury that the women needed to be hushed in the first place. It then becomes an extortion or blackmail. So the prosecution need to provide the reason why the women needed to be hushed.
Next they would then need to provide evidence of how the money was paid, and how it was covered up as campaign expenses.
The only way Trump can escape is to feign ignorance. Saying he was not aware that the payments was for hushing up the women or that he was not aware that the accountant made the mistake of putting the money under campaign expenses.

The ruling monarch can be stripped, abolished or replaced. King seized being king and his family becomes ordinary citizens. The you will go from he is a prince to he was a prince. Whether he was born a prince will not matter anymore.

Who has the power to do that? In the UK, the parliament can make a constitutional change, a public referendum can change that too. So this your he was born a prince therefore he is a prince forever is highly too simplistic.
We are not talking of a hypothetical case. In a hypothetical scenario, anything can happen. A nuclear bomb can be dropped and wipe out England or UK tomorrow. We are discussing reality on the ground right now.

Her testimony was irrelevant to the case. They are just trying to make trump look bad. The defence brought this and the partisan judge still brought her in. Her testimony or cross examination was a disaster to the prosecution but we are in New York.

At the end of the day trump will appeal. This is just to keep him from campaigning.

Trying to make Trump look bad?
Trump does not look bad, he prides himself in being bad. He "grabs em by the pusay", he is liable for raping Eugene Carrol, he is being accused of by 2 dozen women of rape/sexual molestation , he bleeped a IndecentStar raw just a few weeks after his wife gave birth, he had a one year affair with Karen Mcdougal, a playboy model, less than one year after getting married to Melania.

What's the point of a prince that cannot represent his kingdom? He does not have any official capacity. That's the important thing here.

Which is why Nigeria is wasting its time with a fake prince. He is a prince, but a prince of nothing. Not a prince of England, Sussex or the United States.

He is first an foremost a prince by virtue of being a son of the ruling monarch of England. Secondly, he is the Duke of Sussex a title conferred upon him by Queen Elizabeth II. He had not be stripped of that title.
I was just reading on Quora that even the King does not have the powers to strip him off that title.

So even if he choose not to be a working royal, he is still treated as a Prince and the Duke of Sussex anywhere he travels to in the world.

He was born a prince, so he can be a king? He wasn't born a king right? Don't you think prince is a title and titles can be stripped? This is why I am asking for your common sense.
Yes, technically he can still be king. He is fifth in line to the throne. If anything should happen to king Charles, Prince William and his three children, he becomes automatically next in line unless of course he chooses to abdicate the throne then his sone Prince Archie becomes next in line.

Yes his title of Prince of Sussex can be stripped, but his title of Prince cannot be stripped. He was called Prince Harry the day he was born even before he was given prince of Sussex by Queen Elizabeth.
