Ikwerre land was never a federal capital, lagos was a federal capital territory, why did igbos not invest in Ibadan, Akure, oshogbo, Illorin ,abeokuta etc because those places are not and was not the capital, this is like some one from niger state claiming to dispossess igbos of their estates in Abuja,.
This will be the madness of the century and will be fiercely fought.
You are obviously an ignorant cretin. How many non-Yorubas are in the Lagos civil service? The Lagos state assembly passed a law mandating the conduct of its affairs in Yoruba language. Fact is, your people will always remain settlers in Lagos. Fine, you can live and thrive in our midst if you are peaceful, however some privileges will always remain out of your reach. Live and deal with that. You may be born in Lagos but your state of origin will always be your father's (a SE state).

Mckennedy:
We saw what yorubas did at ilorin.
Say what you like about ilorin but the fact remains that the Yorubas have the real power in Kwara. Forget story, Yorubas run kwara state, the current Governor is Yoruba, his predecessor Bukola Saraki is Yoruba, bukola's father, late strongman of kwara politics, Olusola saraki, was Yoruba. Emir Sulu Gambari may be Fulani but the real power lies with the Governor who is elected by the majority. Yorubas outnumber every other ethnic group in kwara, even though the state falls under a different geopolitical zone, for all intents and purposes it is a Yoruba state. Talk another one abeg. Now what will your people do about the "abandoned properties" in PH? Coz Lagos deja vu may be in the offing. grin

Only in a section of Nigeria will someone sell his land, use the money to throw useless parties and after the partying his children will now wake up and start claiming the land back.
Lagos is no mans land full stop.
It's ok to dream bro. The ikwerres of Rivers state confiscated igbo properties after the civil war coz they saw it as an opportunity to right the past wrongs of igbo encroachment over their lands, and ironically till today no single one of those properties have been reclaimed. Even GEJ couldn't assist igbos in reclaiming those properties from ikweres (who are a supposed igboid ethnic group).

Now imagine what we Yorubas can and probably will do to you chest-beaters if you push your luck too far. If the ikweres could get away with that imagine we can do to you if we chose to go that route.

ibadan, oshogbo, Akure, Illorin, abeokuta is Yorubaland please go and claim back Illorin before coming to claim back lagos Illorin was taken illegal and more than 100 years before lagos . Why leave Illorin and fight over lagos
Lagos is and will always be Yorubaland, and it will always be dominated and governed by the Yorubas in every critical sector, be it industry, civil service, or what have you. But it's ok for you to keep dreaming. We both know that when the chips are down you and your kindred will run back to the SE where you truly call home. Heck, you all don't even like being buried in Lagos. GTFOH.

And what will happen if the fourth mainland bridge is completed owing to his influence? You go vex carry am go SE? Siddon there, while you all were foot-dragging with GEJ over Second Niger bridge Fashola completed the ikoyi bridge, na so we go complete Fourth mainland bridge and rail projects in Lagos while your second Niger bridge will be gathering dust.

sCun:
Dangote is from the North west, how many investments does he have there?
How many does he have in the North east?
How many does he have in the South South?
How many does he have in the South west outside Lagos?
Waiting for answers.
From www.dangcem.com

Dangote Cement Plc (DCP) is Nigeria's largest cement manufacturer with ambitious plans to expand into 14 other African countries. A fully integrated quarry-to-depot producer, the Group has production capacity of about 19 million tonnes a year in Nigeria. At 10mt, its Obajana plant inKogi state is the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa. The recently opened 6mt Ibese plant is less than 100km from Lagos, in the fast-growing South West of Nigeria. The Group’s Gboko plant, in Benue state, is expected to be upgraded from 3mt to 4mt in early 2013.

Dangote Cement is investing more than $4bn to expand its production and import capacity to around 50 million tonnes a year by the end of 2015. The investment will increase capacity in Nigeria to at least 32mt, with new capacity being added at Ibese and Obajana, and a new factory being planned for Calabar, in Cross River state.

The Group’s African operations will include factories in Senegal, South Africa, Cameroon, Gabon, Benin, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zambia and the Republic of Congo. Import and bagging facilities are planned for countries including Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire and Togo.

Dangote Cement is the largest company on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, having listed its shares in October 2010.

MrKnowitall:
Good question.

But before you ask why the richest man in Africa is not investing in the Southeast region, you must first ask why southeastern people are not investing in their own region First. When you get the answer to that question, you will automatically know the answer to your Dangote question.
Yeeparipa! See finishing.

PoliticsRe: Igbo Leaders A Disgrace by WisdomFlakes: 1:06pm On Apr 18, 2015
But my question for Ndigbo is, where has this ingenuity for which the entire world has given them a standing ovation, gone? Why can’t it be used today to enhance the cause of Ndigbo? Can’t we re-enact the same war time feat to launch ourselves back to reckoning again in Nigeria and in the entire black world?

We hear of Dangote, the Dantatas, Otedola, Mike Adenuga, the Okoyas, where are the Igbo equivalent in terms of their organisational set-up?

Most of our businesses are largely one-man businesses and whenever the founder dies, the whole thing dies. Ndigbo must do away with their selfishness and personal greed, otherwise we will continue to languish as a people.
There's nothing special about what the Biafrans accomplished during the war in the areas of innovation and ingenuity coz as they say, "necessity is the mother of inventions". Any other group of a relatively educated class would have accomplished similar if not better/more under such circumstances. That explains why they haven't kept up with that pace of development during peacetime as they did while at war. That's just human nature.

- Well, to b honest. In terms of bringing development( dividends of democracy) to d west. Tinubu comes behind Awo.....But when it comes to d art of playing the political chess game. Tinubu beats Awo. Yeah, now it may sound like heresy or blasphemy but dat's the truth....As a yoruba man, I so much Admire both of them. One can draw inspiration both individuals. Awo 4 Development, Tinubu 4 Politics. To be a good poltician u hav to be good in both areas.
Gbam! Besides, people forget that Awo was able to make so much administrative/developmental impact in his time due to the fact that he was once Premiere of the entire Western region, while Tinubu has only had the privilege of governing Lagos but successfully deployed his proxies as governors of other SW states (a la Ajimobi, Amosun, Aregbe and Fayemi).

Tinubu was with Abiola in 1993. He was promised a ministerial portfolio back then untill the gap-tooth man scattered the whole scenario. I was right with Abiola the day he made the pronouncement. What condition given to Tinubu to warrant the ministerial appointment? I reserve it for another blessed time
Dude, are you drunk?? The same Tinubu that was one of the brains behind NADECO? That was on Abacha's hit list coz he refused to sellout Abiola? ? GTFOH with your bull.shit revisionist history. You Tinubu haters can go and die!

Past week has been terrible -- from last Sunday till yesterday (Thursday) we didn't smell "light", and when they finally brought it, it was just for 2-hrs and since up till now they've not brought it back.

If I didn't know better I would guess maybe GEJ's administration is punishing us for not voting for him grin . But then again, it's never really been stable.

1. Seaports are federal projects. Akwa Ibom can only help and the associated policies to get it viable is in the federal government's hand.
2. Yes but the airport has not been completed yet. The minister that worked to get it going was viciously witch hunted just to maintain the status quo of Lagos dominance.
3. Whatever reason it was moved must be reversed.
4. Yes, it was possible to move it from Lagos to Abuja, so it is equally possible to move it to any Eastern City or a brand new one built.
Why couldn't Jonathan assist Akpabio? Aren't they both SS?

It doesn't take a discerning mind to know that the APC is not interested in your development.

Take a look at the APC controlled states in the SW and see how capitalist oriented they are with Fayemi bleeding the life outta of Poor Ekiti people in order to maintain his contractural agreement with Tinubu's companies.
At this rate, you go die ontop Tinubu matter. Seriously though, how much are you getting paid for this hatchet job, coz it better be worth it.
