EMMAACHILE:
That is a wrong advice. Even a 4m dish should be motorised. You will need a 36 inch actuator with positioner. How do you enjoy the dish?
Ok. Thanks for the feedback. Will reconsider motorizing the dish then.

Talibanis:
Switch to Nilesat 7W for ur MBC SD channels. Also motorize ur dish for maximum enjoyment.
I don't mind the MBC SD channels coz frankly in my opinion there's not much difference in quality between those and the HD ones. Are you saying I can nail Nilesat 7W on a 3m dish in Lagos?

odilibe:
what it means is that you are not getting badr/4!MBC is on badr 4 fr:11919v27500 probably badr4 is weak at your location
cos I got badr4/6 with 3m on some frequency like: 12207v.12360v,12683v,12523h,12476v,12456h,12666h,
12111h,12130v,12073h,12054v,12034,12015v,12092,12149,12437h,12169v and11919v MBC and MBC int@enugu
meanwhile MBC on nilesat is more better than badr hd with EPG still crystal clear..
Thanks for the interesting feedback. Here's a clearer picture of my situation. My 3m was formerly pointed at Nilesat 101/102 for about 3 years (starting from circa 2011/2012) and initially I was enjoying channels like all the MBCs (2, max, action, etc), Dubai one, fox middle east, fox movies, euronews, BBC international, Alhazeera international, etc. All fta. Then later some tps started migrating until i was only left with the MBCs, Aljazeera international and Aljazeera America.

Sometime in early march (last month), my MBCs vanished too on Nilesat 102 and i was left with only Aljazeera America and Aljazeera international. I then decided to migrate to Badr late last month solely coz of the Mbc-HD channels, and now those are gone too. Sadly, the Mbc HD channels and Cordoba international were all i could get on badr (which i found very strange coz i was expecting to receive more going by the channel list i saw on the bird via lyngsat).

Now am confused really as to what to do next -- do i try to nail Nilesat 7 or Hotbird?

Mishaelonye:
Please how much did you get yours and is it motorized?
Am in Lagos. Got my 3m about 3yrs ago for about 50-60k or thereabouts. And no, it's not motorized -- was advised against motorizing a dish of that size.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by WisdomFlakes: 10:13pm On Apr 16, 2015
Hello my people, I just noticed my Mbc HD channels have vanished on badr. I use a 3m fibre dish. Abeg which other bird I fit switch to for quality entertainment and movie channels? Your feedback would be highly appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.
PoliticsRe: 5 Reasons Why Ambode Won Lagos by WisdomFlakes: 6:01pm On Apr 13, 2015
Ephemmm:
Towering Support from Tinubu and Fashola

Not many States can boast in the 4th Republic of the cooperation of Governors since 1999 till date, but Lagos is one example of how the baton of leadership has moved from Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola and now Mr Akinwunmi Ambode.

The APC candidate unlike his counterpart across the Nation and in other parties, enjoyed the massive support of Tinubu and Fashola in the Gubernatorial campaigns across the State.

Even when the Oba Akiolu statement came up, creating the possibility of a swing in the votes, Governor Babatunde Fashola gave a passionate message to Lagosians which was inspiring and convincing.

The Tinubu/Fashola collaboration played a great role in the emergence of Ambode as Governor-elect.

Sustainability of Projects/Policies/Programs

One of the factors that facilitate development and growth in a States, is a sustainable policy framework. In Lagos the All Progressives Congress had laid out a policy framework that will guide the State to even 2025.

A change in government, was going to stall that as there was no guarantee that some of the mega projects embarked upon was going to continued.

With the Mile 12-Ikorodu road still ongoing, the rail project amongst others the APC campaigned vigorously urging Lagosians to vote for the continuity of the legacy projects in Lagos State.

These two points carry "heavy weight" in my opinion.

Perhaps that your friend was right. I am a yoruba but the fact is we are very selfish. We formed alliance with the north to defeat GEJ. I just hope the northerners would replicate same when we need them.
But Yorubas weren't selfish when they ganged-up with the same GEJ in 2011 to defeat Buhari then and gave him the required 25% from the states in the region? And i guess the North didn't support OBJ, a Yoruba earlier. Are you making sense to yourself?

just like your government has come together to make your cocoa business a lucrative one for you lots in SW. Am assuring you that it will happen and you will understand what am talking about, your so called Lagos will be devoid of business activities.
There you go again with your delusion of grandeur, trying to feel important as usual. Without igbos Lagos will continue to thrive. During the civil war there were virtually no igbos left in Lagos, skyscrapers kept going up at the CBD, the many industries on oba akran and other places kept working, FDI kept coming in, our cars never lacked spare parts, our bridges were expanding, our doctors, lawyers, accountants and other professionals kept working and thriving.

We had more than enough of everything we needed and Lagos thrived. If it happened then, you can bet you all won't be missed the next time around.
PoliticsRe: (yoruba/igbo) Nigeria Politics Ended Our Childhood Friendship Today by WisdomFlakes: 9:24pm On Apr 12, 2015
It's clear the igbos are feeling persecuted by other Nigerians wherever they find themselves (perhaps it's about time they searched themselves and ask whether maybe they are actually the problem), which begs the question: why can't they fix up their region/land of milk and honey well enough so they won't have to live elsewhere?

If they claim and beat their chest about "developing" other lands, isn't charity meant to begin at home? If so their land ought to be the a paradise on earth where other ethnic groups and even foreign nationals would love to live at. I just don't get it. undecided

the only reason some of us are up there is just cos of the seaport in Lagos, if we can dredge the seaport in Onitsha or ibaka seaport in akwaibom then Lagos would be a forgotten story. Ibos will come back and business will even be cheaper.
Can't the governments of SS/SE band together and dredge those Onitsha and Ibaka seaports so you lot can quickly relocate back to your region of milk and honey? I mean, like seriously how hard can it be for your governors to raise the money to do that? You all need to press them hard concerning that.

No o. Trust militant igbos to overflog it till it backfires, even after most Yorubas had condemned the Oba's speech. Heck, a lot of Yorubas like myself don't honestly give a f.uc.k right now if they still feel pained. If they really wanna show they are still angry they should pack up and relocate to the SE, afterall they are so "great" a people that they can "make it" there too, or they can willingly jump into the lagoon at this point for all I care. Whiny lil' bit.ches.
