If Tinubu has a case to answer in the USA, how is he able to travel back and forth to the country without being arrested?

I suspect that he has already settled with the authorities and made restitutions, essentially, made a deal, a plea bargain which saved him from prosecution. As far as this is concerned, Buhari need not act.

Now, if people have any allegations of theft or corruption against Tinubu, let them come forth with evidence. I recall that Tinubu was charged to court but was not found guilty of anything and set free. This tells me that Buhari does not need to prosecute Tinubu for anything.

Let Buhari first deal with NNPC and missing billions first. Tinubu's financial empire seem to have been built legitimately. I'll stand corrected oince I see evidence otherwise.

It is not enough to shout Alpha Beta or other corporations without concrete prosecutable evidence of any crime.
Bro, by now one would have thought that the law courts would be barraged with several cases of corruption and embezzlement against Tinubu by his detractors. Rather, na ontop internet Dem dey here dey make noise.

If Yoruba people take Tinubu as their leader I will be disappointed. Government is everybody property, just like the name 'Tinubu' is everywhere in the newspapers now, tomorrow it can be your name or even mine. Giving this people too many praises make one lost himself, make one start thinking that Government is his inheritance. I respect yoruba people, but in time of choosing Tinubu as their leader or Role model,I will disrespect them. My opinion.in his words which i admire 'GEJ MY HERO, FAYOSE MY ROLE MODEL.
Lol. NEWSFLASH: Your respect ain't worth didly-squat to the Yourubas coz you're a non-entity.

If GEJ, the supposed and direct enemy of Tinubu cannot jail him, why would GMB, a friend of Tinubu jail himhuh

Isn't that brain somersault?
Point of correction. GEJ didn't consider Tinubu an enemy circa 2011 when he needed his assistance in obtaining the necessary 25% in the SW during that Presidential election. His decision to support Buhari this time around made him GEJ's enemy all of a sudden.

But Tinubu goes in and out of the US often, why haven't they arrested him?
Well, he's only guilty to PDP and Jonathan coz of the role he played in ousting their paymaster. Never underestimate the depth of their bitterness over that loss bro. grin

lets stop beating about the Bush, we all know the truth about Tinubu, even if we choose to play blind because some of us are benefitting from the spoils off him.

He's an accountant, he knows how to cook the books, he's rugged and has connections across the globe that can cover him
Dude, speak for yourself abeg coz you are on your own o. All I see is a calculated smear campaign in an effort to create smoke where there's no fire by Tinubu's detractors. I lived and schooled in the U. S for over a decade and I know his ass would have been at least indicted by now of the U.S gov't had a 'smoking gun' evidence against him so abeg spare us.

It didn't hold water, sure…that's why He threatened court suit, hahaha in Swahili
I would take Ait to court too if they air a false, defamatory and politically sponsored smear campaign against me so what are you on about? He was within his rights to do so.
If he hadn't you are the same people who will attack him for not responding or defending himself from those allegations.

as long as buhari jails tinubu once he gets sworn in...
Jail him coz you, Ait, Nta and Daily Beast don't like him? If you have a good enough case against him take him to court and win a conviction. Until then keep dreaming.

Meanwhile an old post from saharareporters on the case =>
Did you see the date on that article? It says 2008 -- meaning we have heard it all before and probably will hear it a couple more times.

In other words, since all that time, you all still haven't succeeded in bringing about an indictment and conviction of Jagaban on account over this oft recycled materials. That means you are sitting on a lonnnng thing. cheesy

There’s no evidence that Tinubu was ever indicted for any crime.

So what is the point of the whole article if it ain't a hatchet job to smear him when even the almighty U.S never indicted Tinubu?

PoliticsRe: January 1966 Coup Or Biafran War? by WisdomFlakes: 3:55am On Apr 25, 2015
I support neither coz if the coup hadn't occurred there wouldn't have been a Northern response/reprisal and in effect no civil war.

The civil war was really unnecessary coz after losing lives on both sides nothing really concrete was achieved that couldn't have been achieved via dialogue and peaceful negotiations, and not to mention that precious lives would have been spared on both sides.

bros almajiris do the voting and not 'honourable' men from the north.Continue to rant while reality stares at you in the face. There is no way a southerner would ever emerge as a democratically elected president when contesting against a northerner without every all the southern regions coming together.
You are obviously one hopeless somebody who is chronically blinded by hatred and bigotry so I will henceforth desist from engaging you.
PoliticsRe: Response To The SS/SE Elders Communiqué (an Opinion) by WisdomFlakes: 1:32pm On Apr 24, 2015
cktheluckyman:
even while I think the elections was rigged,OBJ would have won in the entire south. He enjoyed total souther solidarity.the sw did not offer the same support to GEJ in 2015 and I don't see the SE/SS rewarding them with presidency.Whether PDP dies or not is immaterial where is APP,ANPP,CPC,AD,AC,ACN, ETC? My main point is on regions and not on parties.BTW do you really think the average northerner wil vote for osinbanjo against a Sule Lamido or Adamu Muazu jus because Osinbanjo is APC? Is that what you really think? Lets even assume PDP dies let you said, what stops the northerners from forming another party to ensure one of their own succeeds Buhari whether in 2019 or 2023
Bro, your problem is that you assume way too much. Why do you hate and distrust the Northerners so much? ? Would GEJ have remained in power for the 6 yrs he did without their support? Wasn't his administration littered with Northerners? You need to get over your paranoia, for real. They are just as driven by self-interest -- as a political bloc -- as the average southerner.

Talking about SW betrayal, I laugh. Was it not OBJ, a SWner who imposed GEJ on Nigeria? Did the SW not vote overwhelmingly for GEJ during his first term? Didn't the SW complain about marginalization by the GEJ administration in strategic political appointments -- a fact that GEJ himself acknowledged when he famously declared that the Igbos are the pillars of his admin, in effect admitting to favoring them above every other ethnic group in strategic appointments in his admin. Aren't SWners justified then for also feeling betrayed? They spoke with their votes based on their interests as a people, as did the igbos when they also voted to retain their strategic position in GE's admin. so please enough of that rubbish talk about southern betrayal coz it's bull crap.

But the way things are now,it wil be very difficult for any southerner to ever emerge president.most people in the SS/SE now see the SW as traitors and I don't see them been rewarded with the presidency whether in 2019 or 2023
That is a lie straight from the pits of hell. There are honorable men from the north, just as there are everywhere else in Nigeria, and vice-versa. But I doubt some igbos like yourself would ever see that due to your instinctive hatred and distrust for northerners.

Bros the future is more than just 4 years or eight years!!! you have succeeded destroying the fragile southern unity we achieved over the past decade. The way it is the northerners will rule us for the next 50 years!!

When the time comes we shall see how Osinbanjo would be able to win election against a northern candidate without help from the SS/SE.It is not all about ranting on the internet.
We in the SW have done it before and history is on our side in that respect, and we will do it again when that time comes, dis one no be mouth. In 2003, OBJ beat Buhari to clinch a second term. Whoever Buhari endorses after his tenure ends will be the next president, and more so if he (Buhari) performs well as president. PDP is dead in the North as the figures there from this last elections have proved. As for the SS, I trust them to be more pragmatic in the next elections and vote Buhari/APC while SE can keep hating Buhari.
