This madness must stop! How can this monopolistic- retrogressive government policy be abolished? So many bad and inaccessible roads can be found around our communities, local government and states in Nigeria causing unnecessary traffic congestion, damage vehicles, increasing cost of repair and maintenance of vehicle as well as the psychological torture Nigerians go through on daily basis. Kind-hearted individuals, corporations and non- government organisations will like to fix some of these bad roads but government, at all levels, would warn against the contruction directly. Indirectly, government would insist that funds for such contruction should be sent to government to oversee the contruction. Why? When embezzlement of funds and missappopriation with sub-standard tendencies are not far from officials. Please why must government insist that all road construction must go through approval or be done by them only? Such a bad policy is dragging road development backward in Nigeria. Enough of this nonsense and selfish government policies! |
I have read and heard many stories of people that attempted and committed suicide owing to depression and loneliness from heartbreak, unfound love and painful guilt. Killing self is not a reasonable and right solution to your worries but reach out to someone. The act of speaking to someone can and will give a glimpse of hope for better lasting solution to your worries. Words of encouragement serves like a shoulder to lean- on, restore confidence and embrace self worth that allows the brain to rethink, reconsider and pivot individual in-question to a state of self realization and result actualization. At different time, I've had the priviledge of being helpful by talking and assisted two people out of suicide thought due to depression, joblessness and relationship heartbreak. Certainly, we humans do under-estimate ourselves especially when we are confronted with issues and problems, forgetting there is always light at the end of the tunnel. In essence, we watch out for one another especially when a shoulder is needed at these trying times. The unfortunate case of a 47year old Accountant in Lagos comes to mind. Likewise, a young man whom jumped into Lagos lagoon, just to mention few, were unlucky not to have seen people to help them out of their worrisome situation . Some people have been rescued from attempting suicide on the third mainland bridge, Lagos by security operatives and passerby. Life is sacred and should be protected to serve its purpose. I am appealing to anyone in a state of confusion, depression and loneliness to reach and voice out to someone, especially a family member, because a problem shared is a problem half-solved. Perhaps you do not have a family member, which is highly unlikely; you can reach out... Remember, no man is an island and therefore, we need one another to actualize our dreams and true happiness. Here is a notice outside the above discuss to women of virtue on this platform! A brother, in his 40s, needs a matured, understanding muslim woman for a serious relationship that would metamorphous to a lifetime union. Please, let me state clearly, I do not have money to give anyone and no money is expected from anyone as regards this post. Likewise, no evil or bad intention whatsoever is behind this post. It is, purely, a kind gesture to assist people achieve or meet people of mutual affection for forever bliss. God bless and stay out of trouble! |
Ukraine is seeking foreign volunteers to join her army. If interested visit Ukraine embassy in your country for enlistment. |
When will Nigeria serve as a tourist destination for foreigners similar to Dubai? Shame to all past and present government officials! |
MufasaLion:Serious work I know... early engagement for 7am before going to church! |
About eating and a woman from distance looking my direction is vexing and frowning at me. Is it safe? |
Attending a wedding event now with friends and awaiting reception to start. Surprisingly only our table was served food while other guests are watching. The reason is that those friends I met have been around since 7am today. I am concerned and asking myself: will this food digest if I eat while other guests watch with empty tables? Seroius wahala!

"Anti-grazing laws and banning of open-grazing is satanic agenda to destroy our means of livelihood by desperate politicians acting on faulty and self serving security reports." ...I disagree with this statement made by Miyetti's secretary because: cattle rearing is not taken away or banned completely but remodelling the business strategy that are causing farmers/herders clashes or unrest, defacing cities and hindering movement to fit the modern and global best practise. Not politicians but farmers and innocent citizens are being killed whenever herders/farmers unrest arises. The people give account of events with date, time which would have helped in data gathering, processing and outcome of events with objective analysis for decision making to avert re-occurrence in future. “Ranching as envisage by many requires massive capital investment and difficult to sustain, not economical and is not small livestock holder centered.” ... Truly, ranching is a huge capital investment however it is highly sustainable if stakeholders are sincere to drive livestock rearing with modern best global practises, grow the business beyond mere raising of cows but job creation with technology advancement and education with a win -win situation. “Government should take an inventory of all the existing grazing reserve traditional grazing areas, transhumance corridors, major stock routes and fully develop at least one grazing reserve in each senatorial zone line with the recommendation of the Inter-ministerial Committee Livestock Development in Nigeria 2015, the report of Presidential Committee on Pastoralists and Insecurity 2014 and the National Livestock Transformation Program” ... I am of the opinion that a progressive government would factor in today and tomorrow more in decision making and projection for serious growth and development. Therefore, the past ways are unlikely to meet todays demand and futuristic methodology. “We want the National Assembly and Mr. President to intervene and stop the current attempt by some states governors to criminalize our means of economic livelihood of cattle rearing through the enactment of satanic and obnoxious laws – ‘Anti-open Grazing Laws’ targeted at Fulani pastoralists.” The group further claimed that the laws will destroy livestock production and send into poverty millions of people that depend on the livestock value chain (Butchers, transporters, livestock dealers, and consumers who are used to affordable sources of milk) “The laws will undermine the relative peace and stability currently enjoyed by the local communities and threaten the social order. “The laws will exacerbate cattle rustling in the local communities as criminal gangs and states sponsored vigilantes will use the opportunity institutionalize their nefarious activities of cattle rustling. “The laws will lead to serious humanitarian crisis as families will be destabile and markets and economic livelihoods will be disrupted and “The laws will lead to massive cross border migrations that will create further security challenges”, the group said. “These dangerous and satanic laws must be nib in the bud by the National Assembly to safeguard the constitution as it a potentially greater danger to the corporate existence of the country. “These oppressive laws and hostile policies being enacted by state governors are fundamentally going against the Fulani Pastoralist culture, economic interest and constitutional rights. “It is important to note that inter-state movement of pastoralists is analogous to interstate commerce, which is an exclusive preserve of the legislative powers of the National Assembly under item 62 of the Exclusive Legislative List. “To this effect, any action taken by any state Assembly that is in conflict with an above section of the 1999 constitution as amended is null and void”, the pastoralists said. ... all these are sentiment out of fear and no threat will deter posterity and development. |
Why does lies keep flying around in Nigeria? Its hard to believe our govt. officials, say something and do otherwise! |
I do not believe that No true love exist without money No woman can keep her virginity for her husband only No woman can be submisive to her husband in marriage when she's the bread winner of the house ... because people are not God! |
flokii:There are ladies that still believe in marriage of those days! The same way some believe in keeping themselves for their husbands only. I agree love is sweeter when money is available with right attitude. |
Monogamy:Many have done it successfully and still working! It is a matter of belief, determination and hardwork with prayer. |
flokii:Paul Okoye and wife, Anita Okoye has filed for divorce... money is not the key to a happy marriage. |
Money and marriage are known to all and sundry as a simple but complex powerful acceptable institution that have crucial roles to play in mankind especially adults. Money as a means of exchange between buyers and sellers is mostly earned or inherited in different amount, quantities and currencies. While marriage is a relationship agreement between man and woman to become a family of husband and wife. People work hard and smart to make more money for comfortable lifestyle for themselves and family. Also, people strive or choose to attain marriage status when they find the right partner to become a family. However, the imbalance between money and marriage accross all individuals is a reality dawn on us. Good or bad marriage is the order of the day as being rich or poor is peculiar to our living standard. The behavioural nature of mankind has revealed how insatiable humans are and suceptible to change easily. I believe no man or woman wish to be poor or experience bad marriage, however some people fall in that category by chance or by their actions at different time. The good sides of the divide on both subjects(wealth and happy marriage) are related directly or indirectly in people's lives. If only wishes were horses, unfortunately, everyone cannot be in this category at the same time. We need to understand that change is a constant thing in life, therefore situation changes with time. Men and women should value virtues and relate with right attitude to themselves for true happiness from within. Money cannot guarantee happiness or good marriage but can make things easier to achieve. Lack of adequate money by men can delay their marital status because most women will not settle for marriage in that condition. Some few women will accept the marriage proposal of the man with hope and together fashion out ways of improving the situation as a family. Seriously, no good things comes easy without due diligence of labour and effort which makes it worth while. The man must be committed towards making the financial situation better for the family. In my opinion, money should not be the major reason and determinant in choosing a spouse. It is important that both couples love and understand each other genuinely. Most ladies will not marry a jobless man simply because they want instant gratification and will try avoid insecurity that may arise especially when they are more successful than the men in question. Marriage is a legal-holy-social institution of companionship and learning for man and woman whom have agreed to become one family, nurture and water with love, trust and understanding under a sustainable financial means of comfort. Togetherness is very important in all their dealings without comparism to third parties. Money is necessary in marriage as a means of making provisions for needs and wants, however does not guarantee happiness or sustainable marriage e.g Bill gate. By default, a man is expected to love, responsibly provide and take good care of his family while the wife, as a helper, must respect the husband out of love. A situation where the wife is better-off financially compared to the man, the wife by default is an helper and must assist her husband without disrespecting him. In both situation, the family should come first for peace and happiness to reign in marriage. Please note that third parties should not be entertained in the family affairs! Should a man marry a jobless woman for love? ...Yes! Should a woman marry a jobless man for love? ...Yes! The reason is because marriage is an investment expected to yield good returns for the family as time progress. Planning is key as both parties have roles to play out of love, respect and appreciation. What is the vision of this marriage? How can the goals be achieved? What is the time-frame for materialization of set targets? When is the time to evaluate and re-evaluate progress made? These are rhetorical questions that should guide the sacred institution called marriage before saying "I do". In my submission, I believe money is an integral part of many other important things to put into consideration before saying I do but remember, no man is perfect. Therefore, we all exhibit gains and loss in life situation which defines there is no perfect marriage anywhere. Forever bliss in marriage is patience, love, trust, perseverance and prayer worth emulating by the children and pass on to generations unborn. |

Tunji Disu, former RRS Boss, performed very well when he was in Lagos. Rebranded the officers with commendable civil relation, neatly dressed and respond timely to issues when called upon. I wish him well with the new task! |

This revelation, if true, shows that our leaders know these culprits... |
The supremacy of rule of law is essential in democracy. No institution or individual is above the laws and constitution of federal republic of Nigeria. So how come DSS are showing otherwise. Sad! |
Lostchild:I have no qualms about them. Life no balance... People inside life self no balance... Hide & seek game is one, out of many, my lovely children and I do often. I'm glad... you smiled! |
Demigod22:My brother! Your time will surely come, you and family shall enjoy endless happiness in your home because Buhari will not be in power forever. |
Ahmed0336:God bless you for that question! |
TarOrfeeek:Why are you this hard on yourself? Please calm down... |
Power was restored in my area around 12am and had to go outside the apartment to put off my generator. I covertly entered the house, hide behind the kitchen freezer with the lights out. After a while, I had my wife calling" Olami" severally but I did not respond. That was how the search started as she became worried but noticed I had locked the main door from inside. My children joined the search, called and checked the rooms including the kitchen where I was but did not see me. I heard my phone ringtone sounding from distance, guess she is the one. They were all worried! After a while she came back to check the kitchen and found me where I was hiding. She was so worried and angry while I laughed. My children asked why I did that? My response to them" Daddy was playing hide-and-seek game". With love, I apologised and we all went to bed. |
Nigerian politicians are known for lies, greed and corruption. They promise, deceive, fail and fail people again for selfish interest. Birds of the same feather flocks together.... |
@LivingIcon I agree with you especially in the area of both couples maintaining healthy lifestyle and exercise in order to remain appealing to themselves. However, where do we place the role played by genes and does heredity have an impact on these? |
It seem girls are exposed to sex experience earlier than the boys even if both are growing and fertile at stage. At adulthood, men and women sexual drive and performance may either be consistent or inconsistent depending on individual lifestyle, activities and time. Obviously, men would want more sex as they age in life while women, on the contrary, would like to slow down as they grow older due to menopause. Does this makes women age faster than their physical appearance compared to the men at adulthood and oldage? Why does women prefer less sex when they become mothers compared to their respective husbands? How can there be a balance between men and women sex life especially at ages 40s, 50s and 60s? How possible is this, peope? |

Nigerians lament greatly about degenerating situation of the country, pray and rain curses on our rulers both past and present for the failure we are experiencing. The same rulers encourage division, unrest, corruption and poverty for their selfish reasons. Inflation coupled with high debt profile is the order in Nigeria across regions. Same government will create all forms of problem due to their own selfish gains, subject her people to abject poverty to silence them and for those saying no to injustice, they fabricate all forms of lies such as treason, felony, etc in order to terminate them legally or hide under unknown gunmen to commit all their dirty attrocities. They share amongst themselves the people's assets, sabotage some for ineffectiveness and rule according to their will disregarding constitution on some matters. In short, all government officials alive deserve to be in prison, in my opinion. Afterall, they have created hell here in Nigeria. In my submission, to free any of them, they must account for their deeds openly with evidence. |
Today is Nnamdi Kanu, tomorrow may be governor El-Rufai and next tomorrow may be Bashir El- Rufai... Just saying |
