It no longer news news that Akwa ibom state clocked 33 on the 23 Sept. 2020.

The activities to mark the occasion by the state government though limited by COVID - 19, included:
1) presentation and passing to law the official akwa ibom state
a). FLAG
B). EMBLEM
C). CREED
D). COAT OF arms.

2) commissioning of the official building for the Akwa ibom state council of traditional chiefs.

3) commissioning of the renovated and remodeled Immanuel General Hospital Eket LGA.


4) commissioning of the remodelled and and renovated General hospital awa , onna LGA

Both general hospital has been approved by the medical and dental council of Nigeria for the training of medical house officers .

And both hospitals are fully digitized which means you dont need a card in this digitized hospital as they have electronic information captured that can transmit and medical information with other digitized hospital at home and Abroad.

This two hospital are number 7th and 8th digitized hospital in the state.
The governor's has a target of 12 such hospital in the state.before the end of his tenure

Ikot ekpene and ikot okoro are currently being renovated and will be fully digitized and opened Q1 2021.

5).commissioning of Local government roads and river jetty.

NOTE: I am neither from Akwa Ibom State or being paid for this post. I just love to explore. So today being Akwa Ibom State birthday, I decided to make a little research about the state and her achievement so far.

The couple alongside their kids lost their lives in the tragic accident, Reports.

From The Information Reaching DESK, A man identified as Abubakar Isa Birnin Kudu, his wife and their three young children has lost their lives in a fatal accident.

Details on the incident are still sketchy, however, it was gathered that the incident happened on their way to Jigawa State on Sunday, September 20, Reports.

Governor Nyesom Wike returned to Port Harcourt on Sunday evening after securing victory for the People’s Democratic Party in Edo state.

Wike, who was the chairman of the People’s Democratic campaign committee for the Edo governorship election, left Edo state with a highly spirited Obaseki seeing him off.

He arrived at Port Harcourt at about 5 pm.
Wike was received with a rousing welcome from Rivers people.

Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu, APC gubernatorial candidate was captured lamenting about Wike’s presence while making a phone call after casting his vote in Edo.

According to the guber candidate who was speaking to an unknown person at the other end of the call, he wondered what the Governor of Rivers State is doing, insisting that he has no business in Edo State despite the freedom of association.
