PrettyCrystal: The Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi(Ojaja II) is receiving more recognition internationally. The Yoruba monarch paid a visit to the House of Representatives in Washington D.C in the United States yesterday where he gave a speech relating to African (Yoruba) culture in front of the full house.
The Ooni and his queen Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi were recognized by the lawmakers who honoured them and also took pictures with them at the chambers.
Source; http://www.nationalhelm.net/2016/06/ooni-of-ife-recognized-by-us-lawmakers.html This oni would soon out compete Buhari. I hope all this people returns back his visit. We are excited when ever we shake hands with the whites. Africans with inferiority complex. Lets over grow this. He is trying to be relevant. Ajala? |

Health › Re: The Death Camps Called Government Hospitals In Nigeria! How Ekene Lost His Dad by wiseoneking: 8:19am On Jun 15, 2016 |
twoondei: sorry about your loss. A few things I'd like to point out. LASUTH is probably one of the most efficient government hospitals around if you know your way around. probably the only teaching hospital in Nigeria where power hasn't gone off in about four years. The very worst cases in Lagos end up in LASUTH, you were referred from ikorodu, there are 25 other general hospitals, with about a thousand private hospitals in Lagos that refer when they can no longer manage these cases. It is unarguably the busiest too. Check data on Google. Down to your suggestions 1. The nurses and doctors you see in that compound value lives so much but there's only so much they can do. The medical emergency has three to four nurses on every shift with at least 45 critically ill patients. They MUST write reports on whatever they do and the state of their patients on every shift so when litigation comes, like this one might head, something shows your hard work.
2. There is indeed a quality assurance unit in that hospital, there's even a "complain to me" unit that make sure you get prompt services when due. The ambulance problem should have been relayed to them. That's one of the things they help out with. LASUTH has more than five functional ambulances and I also know some diagnostic centres bring their vans inside. The doctor who asked for a CT from a particular place has his reasons; MECURE probably has the best machine and gives the clearest view around LASUTH.
3. on investigation of deaths in the hospital; Lagos government passed a law mandating hospitals to carry out autopsies on "coroner's cases". Simply put, anyone who's cause of death hasn't been medically established before death should be autopsied, this also includes any patient who dies within 24hours of admission in LASUTH. I know this rule is still in place but again, people get waivers from all sorts of places fir religious reasons and this has been a major cog in the wheels of this rule. Deaths are discussed at departmental levels every week and doctors are scolded when found culpable. You can ask any LASUTH doctor you know.
4. A lot of policies should indeed be reviewed. More professionals need to be employed, a good number of times, doctors and nurses have collapsed on duty. Theres presently a restriction on employment at most levels of government now, so you see a doctor do a 36hr shift twice a week. Meanwhile, he has family members at home.
5. Monitoring has been addressed.
6. Interdepartmental collaboration does exist but the communication channels are not as effective. You have to drop a consult, or call the registrar over the phone who probably is in the theatre or attending to another surgical patient. There's no one assigned to see consults in particular.
7. Oversight functions: I also know that there's a health facility monitoring agency in Lagos and I know the chairman house committee on health, Hon. Olulade visits LASUTH from time to time without prior notification.
Overall, the goal is to make things work in Lagos. Again, sorry about your loss. May God give you the fortitude to bear the loss.
And yes, I support your cause. #valuenigerians You do not support any cause not with these your damn insidious coloured justifications that littered your drops on your submission. You wouldnt have written in such a tone if you were the victim like the OP. Just get it into your brain that LASUTH is a rot of hell with untrained indifferent health workers who do not value human lives. Your prooving of their these and that does not change the general mess and unprofessional outlook of their staff. Call a spade a spade and outrighly condem their entire system with raising unjustify excuses of their abilities and capabilies in the midst of DECAY. You sound too modest to be true. Hope you will not narrate his kind of ordeal, peradventure you are visited with such. OP, MAY GOD COMFORT YOU THE MORE. |

PassingShot: Take time to read the report again and see the parameters used in sharing the money.
Again, we must re-orientate ourselves to the fact that there is much more to Nigeria than the oyel.
The importance of what the North contributes to our survival as a nation cannot be over-emphasized. Just by experiencing tomato ebola in the north in just one season, the whole of Nigeria has been suffering to get tomatoes at cheap/reasonable price. Can we imagine what will happen if all the farm produce that comes from there stop coming to the south? We will import? With which money and at what cost?

Enzyhub: https://i1.wp.com/www.enzyhub.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/IMG_20160612_133421.jpg?
This is the biggest and most prestigious traditional festival common to every Awka born. Indiegens travel from far down to their home town Awka for this great occasion which happens once a year. The celebration attracts personalities from all areas of the state, friends and well wishers of Awka sometimes participate in the celebration
https://i2.wp.com/www.enzyhub.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/imoka.jpg?
as they witness singing and dancing from assorted masquerades and masquerade men all in the bid to make the occasion colourful.
Some, Particularly Christians are of the opinion that the celebration is satanic and should be scrapped, siting bloodshed, violence and idolatry as one of the reasons to let go of the old Awka tradition, while others see it simply as a means of catching fun ones in a year and also to uphold the Igbo tradition and legacy handed over to us by our forefathers.
https://i0.wp.com/www.enzyhub.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/IMG_20160612_133301.jpg?
What’s your take as an Awka indiegen?? Do you see Imo Awka festival as idolatry and should be scrapped or modified or do you see it as a tradition which must be maintained??
http://www.enzyhub.com/update-on-imo-awka-celebration-in-awka-anambra-state/ Fun my foot! Fun in hell? Is pure idolatory especially going to pay visit to the shrine. I used to attend it when we were small from Enugu. Pure Christianiy is enough for the igbos. Let them stop these uncivilised traditions. We have better traditions to revived. I hope they are not copying the osun oshogbo festival which in a way is making that part of country more backward. Let them stop reviving that shi*t of culture called imoawka. We have other great cultures and way of life to revive. Any body that participates in imoawka is ignorantly worshipping the devil.Wait oooh, i taught this imoawka don die. |

Movic1: There's nothing like hausa christian. All those xtains you see in the north are'nt hausa. They have their own tribe. see another ignorant soul. Many local govt like tudun wada, Sumaila, Rogo have hundreds of thousands hausa who are christians. There are scores of villages in the heart land of kano without a single muslims. Many christians among them are neglected and despised because of their faith. Katsina state has the highest number of hausa christians especially in Malufashi and funtua local govt while Adamawa has the highest number of fulani Christians. I have had a christian hausa landlord and have close to ten hausa christian friends. I have attended a church where i am only non hausa person. I Mean hausa men not other minority northerners. But what shocks me been in their churches or villages is that there is not to distinguish them from other hausa muslim from their looks and dressing. I was in one of their churches and was still thinking i am in the midst of Muslims because of their look/ dress. Every one you see in Many northern villages even with their veils are not muslims. Hausa christians from kano are the greatest christ like christian i have ever men. They dont play with christianity but some of them retains some hausa muslim name. In the church hear such name like Ismaila muhammed, Garuba Idris, Yahaya usman. Finally, many of the present Bishops in Anglican church in far NW/NE are indigenous hausa men like the one in wusa zaria, zamfara, Rogo area of kano diocease etc. |

Movic1: These three things are different, they aren't the same. Muslim,Arab & Hausa. So dont generalize it. Hausas killed the woman. If a christian kill today, you wont criticize her by his/her religion but by tribe. e.g Igboman or yorubaman You know that you are not saying the truth, they killed because of muhamad. Remove tribe from these. Have you heard any christian killing because Jesus was abused?. Check out the whole middle east, north africa, indonesia, somali and northern Nigeria. Religion of peace or pieces? You dont know how non muslim: hinduist, budhaist, christians, pagans, atheists etc see you people because of the violence and human blood sucking spirit. Next time you are with any non muslim, do know that he sees you as a threat to his life despite that wide smile. You are a big suspect to them. |

fiizznation: Can't the security agencies track these sociopaths/hoodlums down. There is no place in the holy Quran were Allah{swt} ask any mortal to kill because somebody blasphemed his religion or ridiculed our noble prophet Muhammad{saw}, I know somethings hurt but people should just take a chill please. The highest we can ever do is to enlighten the islamaphobians, and if they refused to stop ridiculing islam/Muslims, you should simply just ignore them. We should always try to be the true custodians of a peaceful Islam and not the other way round.
And I still don't just know why we Africans misunderstood the religion we are practicing so much. People insulting Islam everyday will never stop anybody that wants to embrace Islam to change his mind, and it won't make any Muslim to denounce Islam, neither it will stop a good muslim from practicing the teachings of Islam thereby perfecting his iman. These are the facts. So fighting/harming/killing anybody because he/she insults Islam is a waste of time in my opinion. Our religion teaches us peace, establishing cordial relationship with other religions and portraying Islam as the religion of peace, love and understanding that it is and will always be.
Salam You are certainly not a true Muslim in the eyes of the real koran beliving muslims in the world. This is how you think Islam should be but Muhamed and koran is what this followers are fulfilling. You are not a true muslim so quit islam. You have a heart of a true unpretending spirit filled Christian. Dont ever live and die as a muslim. Bless u. |
