You have a valid point. I was bent on going through the study route since I'd get a study leave + few benefits from work. Not after i weighed the costs involved in a study route and my budget, I realised I was chasing shadows. I calmly returned to EE route.

Debbieeeeeee:

Some people will tell me no they prefer student route I’ll tell them okay let me share the link for EE with you and read up on it . I’ve tried to convince many many people, some agree and begin while some say they’re looking for agent to help(another work telling them to DIay it’s straight forward) and some will say they prefer student route. What they don’t know and I try to tell them is that the money you spend on Fsw is nothing compared to your school fees

someone some lines above said you should check your primary NOC falls under 0, A or B

Kendrix69:
Still on this, Just to test, i used a Single and Continous 2 years as work experience is only, and i still got ineligible profile.
What could be wrong please, cos obviously its not the work experience.

IELTS General is for immigration, work related issues while IELTS Academic is for well academic purposes.
You'd be taking the IELTS General.

Hello Everyone,
I just started my EE process. I have sent sent WES my credentials for evaluation and I'm currently trying to register for IETLS but I can see there two options to choose from General and Academics. Can someone please explain the difference between this two and which one I should be taking. Thanks

Congrats o.. Women tend to have stronger faith. grin.. We were in exact situation but I couldn't stand the heat as she the PA was going to lose 5points in the 2nd week of December, so I wrote another IELTS on 12th October. The result came out yesterday. LRWS @ 7.5, 7.5, 7, 7.5. L was short of the minimum 8 and so I couldn't add the 2points to the 18 I have added already to take us to 471. Honestly, we were licking our wounds, asking how we allowed MOD to 'swallow' another 75k just like that and strategizing on whether I should give CDT a last try before her birthday arrived. It was in the middle of that conversation a brother I had been ranting to called and said there was a draw @ 469.. Well, the rest is history o. Ours is nothing but a story of grace.

Congrats once again bro.

I'd stay hopeful with you. You just might be the reason, they do a 465/466 cut off for Christmas draws this year.

It will end in praise. More wins to come wink

Renialistic:
Congratulations to everyone who received ITA. I’ve been following this thread as a guest (since part 9).

My details:
I used WES in September and received my report on about 2 weeks from when my school sent my transcript. No verification required.

I wrote IELTS once in September, 2020 and had LRWS 8.5,9,7,9. I applied for EOR in writing which wasn’t granted.

My score is 467 and had planned on registering for French lessons soon.

I decided not to retake the IELTS cos I felt spending another 75k just for 3 additional points just didn’t add up. Plus a part of me is scared that while my writing may improve, who’s to say what’ll happen to the other modules? (Call me a scaredy-cat )

I’m really excited about the drop in draw points and now hopeful I could actually get an ITA this year.

Good day everyone , this platform has been really helpful and informative. I started following the thread September but it has given me so much relief over time as to wht could bother me regarding my application. Thank you everyone who share stories and ask questions on a daily and to those who take time to answer the questions. Below is my timeline
ITA— July 8th 2020
AOR— July 25th
ADR ( wife’s family details )— Aug 14th
Med passed — August 13th
Biometrics Request — August 24th
Biometrics completed — sept 14th
1st Ghost update — nov 4th
2nd ghost —- nov 16th
PPR — Nov 18th
VO— AccraVO

God alone be praised

However , I have a little worry. I raised a web form nov 5th about my POF. Informing them the investment I used for my POF has matured and I have rolled over. And I sent the new investment advice. It wasn’t even acknowledged at all. Then PPR came in 18th of nov and I submitted my passport the next day. to my surprise I got a mail as regards the the webform I raised that it was just received and forwarded to the office in charge. So my worry is hope it won’t delay the visa stamping if they have to take time to verify the new POF again. The PoF is legit but I’m just worried about the delay.
Also, I didn’t get a mail from VFS to notify they have sent passport to Ghana. Is this normal ?
Would appreciate clarify as regards the above. Thanks.

Beautiful response smiley

ituajude:
Hi I noticed you've gotten some weird advice and I'll try to give you an honest one - the method I used.

For computer based listening, practice is key. You're advised to write down the answers (a blank scratch paper was given to me) as you hear them because the recording WON'T be played again. I practiced this same scenario many times so I was confident before writing.

The questions are structured in sets of 5 or 10, and you'll have between 30seconds to 1minutes between each question set. Use this time to review and type your answers.

Your answers per question won't be longer that 2 or 3 words so you shouldn't be worried about not having time to transfer your answers.

Once again, practice is key.
Good luck.

From what I understand, I think it is best to do the BCS certification first, focus on passing and having your certificates. Afterwards, you may proceed with IELTS/TEF since they have expiration dates - my two cents.

elmoduddah:
Please I need a little piece of advice to guide me on a decision. I’ve decided to follow the suggestions here and be the PA instead of my husband.
Since all I have is an OND, here is what I intend to do to boost my score.

Take the TEF exams
Get BCS certification(take two certificates that is equivalent to a 3year program)
Write the IELTS exam

I’m willing to start now but I’m a bit worried about which to kick off with first bearing in mind that TEF and IELTS results expires after 2yrs. And I’m not sure if I can do two or three at same time

Then the wait, I sent update requests to accra and cic bi weekly. Then last week I saw a couple ppr posts saying they sent ready to travel emails to accra, so I sent mine on Tuesday last week. Then woke up to my ppr email.

AVO: Accra

If you check this accounts previous posts you would see a ppr post from this account. Account belongs to my bf, he got ppr last year same accra vo same aor.

Good plan. I've almost same profile as yours, and I've started learning french too with the hopes of taking the TEF next year.

Jacknn:
Please I have few questions to ask as I'm just begging the process

1) I have a BSC and OND(3yrs) which I believe can stand for me as 2 or more degrees..I'm I suppose to do Wes evaluation for both degrees or only for my BSC.. I intend using both so as to claim points for 2 or more degrees:;

2) I intend learning French to boast my score going into next yr when I intend to enter the pool; if I'm serious with the French and I use approximately 5 to 6months to prepare for it and ielts can I ace it in that period of time, any body with experience dealing with the French language, how its been done, when will u get ur result, what's the minimum score to get.how many months can one really get prepared to ace the exam and all, just anitin info would do

3) I have 3 years experience including NYSC, but just 1 continuous yrs of experience but I want to claim points for 3yrs,hope it can work..and for the case of proof of payment via the place u work..is the proof of payment via bank statement just for like 6months back or a year etc,how many months or years do de ask of from ur bank statement when applying thankss
