Anything is possible. Both your options are viable and would get you into Canada which is utmost.

If you've documents backing your employment at dad's company, if the job role falls under the NOC 0,A,B then please grab it. Regarding the salary in cash, some pages back have discussed on this, in summary it's acceptable, but please read few pages back to get a clearer version.

For the study permit, if it seems more feasible than the EE accept it if after considering documents won'tbe valid, etc. I'm not too sure on what chances the 1 year PGWP has relative to CEC and EE. I hope more people lend their voices on this. Like I said anything is possible

Lekiboboe:

Thanks for your time, I really appreciate, infact I learnt something new from your response to my questions.

Now I see that it's obvious I won't be able to use this my NYSC work experience to apply for EE.
Acquiring all of those Aviation diploma, certifications from NCAT involves lotz of money and time. Meteorology is a wide program with lots of specialization aside Aviation.

There are Two things on my mind now,

- Am left with the Store Retail Manager Job experience at my Dad's Business Venture, he pays my monthly salary in Cash.

What are the documents I need to get from him ?

About this salary in Cash aspect, is there a way I should put that to explanation?

Secondly,
Am also thinking of considering CEC (Canada Experience Class), I got a Study permit to study a One year Graduate program related to my first degree. But I don't know if a 1-year PGWP will be enough to gather CEC and enter the EE pool, and even though there are chances it will be enough, after the PGWP, stay in Canada would become invalid. Reasons why I said this is cos, me doing a 2nd program to get more than 1 year PGWP is not very likely.

What's your take/advice on this?

Thanks

Seeing you intend to use this for IRCC I'd advise you ask HR to define your status as at that year. Basically in tower we call IT or corpers by just that. If you aren't employed by NAMA with the ATC title then you shouldn't use the title with IRCC. Let HR modify the one year training for you.

Basically, the tag is called Air traffic Control Cadet (not trainee) and this appointment comes with a written formal employment letter from NAMA. NCAA & NCAT are notified. It's civil service so you undergo the normal employemnt procedures before going to the college for cadetship.

Lekiboboe:

No i don't have all that you mentioned, only a degree in Meteorology, 6 months industrial training at NIMET (Nigerian Meteorological Agency) & the One Year Work Experience at NAMA Control Tower.

In my CV I wrote Air Traffic Controller Trainee (don't know if it's goes well, am yet to get that title they call Corp members who worked in the Control Tower).

You seem to have some idea about the Aviation sector, do you by chance have a possible title that will likely resonate with my profile.

Thanks
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Wishlist: 10:14am On Jan 16, 2021
You'd have to undergo formal training in the aviation college, Zaria with a diploma afterwards and have further license training with NAMA and NCAA to be certified and fit for the Air traffic controller appointment by NAMA. Do you've an NCAA ATC license? Are you employed by NAMA with the designation Air traffic Control Officer. If not, then....

The services of meteorology is provided by another agency entirely not NAMA or Air traffic control, ATC broadcasts information provided by the met department.

Yes its best to get in touch with the HR for clarity before choosing a NOC.

Some IT students also perform the descriptions you mentioned but they or corpers who perform such aren't Air traffic controllers..Sorry, but it's just what it is.

You're welcome..

Lekiboboe:

Yes my PPA was NAMA, in the control tower, I had a degree in Meteorology , most of my duties were more of Assistance to the Air Traffic Controller & job of an Aviation Meteorologist.

Oh they have a name? I actually didn't know about that.

My Job duties during my service year goes thus,

- Provide information to pilots, such as weather updates, runway closures, and other critical
information

- Alert airport response staff such as Fire station, in the event of an air craft emergency

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Wishlist: 9:29am On Jan 16, 2021
I don't know where you did your NYSC PPA but if its with NAMA they wouldn't introduce you as an Air traffic controller. There is a different name they call corpers or IT students who do the one year program with them I'd advise you have a discussion with HR regarding this before you proceed.

Regards

Lekiboboe:

Thanks so much.... Well Appreciated

Does that count for Two years work experience?

- The Air Traffic Controller/Aviation Meteorologist Work is my One Year Work Experience for NYSC

What are the documents I need to get from my PPA?

- The second work experience (present Job) is my Dad's business. After my Youth Service, I joined him & I work as a Store Retail Manager, he gives me my monthly salary in Cash.

What documents do I need to get from him ?
About this salary in Cash aspect, is there a way I should put that to explanation?

I will appreciate any additional suggestions/advice that can make my profile go seamless for EE.

Thanks

Hi,

I'd like to chip in a bit here regarding the air traffic controller. Do you've a diploma from the Aviation college or a license from a regulator body certifying you as a licensed Air traffic controller if not I wouldn't tell IRCC you're an air traffic controller for lack of evidence. Probably you modify the title.

You can qualify if you increase your chances.

First simulate your scores using the CRS tool here:

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

If your final score doesn't match up to recent trends then prepare to have French for TEF to boost your scores.

Don't be down. The race isn't over, brace up and start something ti increase your scores.
I started French classes to prepare for TEF. So many others on this race are either learning French or taking a master course to increase scores. Choose which path suits you.

It will end in praise.

I like you already....

deepwater:

we shall create you an uncle in Canada!
which province or territory do you prefer undecided

You asked what we reckon
I gave my submission
You got angry
Were you expecting us to tell you something else apart from what we reckon ?

The first truth is that the response is not silly, you rather had your mind fixed on something else and wanted a back up comment to soothe your mind irrespective of not knowing you are heading for the rocks...and any other response would sound silly to your mind.

Now let me tell you another truth,
You have indicated that you have an uncle in Canada
This you can not prove post ITA.
meaning that you misrepresented your situation, in another phrase DOCUMENT FRAUD. That is to say the premise in which you obtained your ITA was false. This is also called obtaining by false pretence. You can be jailed if charge to court anywhere in the world for that act.
Do you know that DOCUMENT FRAUD may lead to your rejection, ban and information shared. Meaning UK, USA, New Zealand, Australia would get your fraudulent report and treat you as a fraud.

Now what should you do?
It is two ways.

1. If you haven't submitted your application yet, decline the ITA and return to the pool actively to genuinely claim a new ITA.

2. If you somehow created an uncle for your self and had submitted, query may be raised. Respond accordingly with best fit answers designed to have your application rejected for sake of answers not sufficient enough and avoiding ban or penalty instead just a rejection so you would be safe.

N.B you have used the word silly already so what is your new line now son....

Regarding your duties, write what you do in bullet points and cross check with your NOC to be certain they match. Do not cut and paste the NOC from the website.

You can have your employer write two separate letters for the NOCs or present the two NOCs in separate sections of a single letter.

Good luck!

I came across this thread on Nairaland some months after AOR, in fact we were already PPR expectant and reading PPR/landing gists, gave me great joy.

To appreciate how long and frustrating this journey was, I'll say this:

I unexpectedly fell preggers like that my friend Linda grin. This was few months after AOR

We were excited about the intending Canny baby.

Let's sha say that AVO and Covid dashed that dream. That baby that was formed few months after AOR will clock one in a few months time.

E shock una abi... So you guys will appreciate how myself and many others waited for this PPR like no man's business.

It has definitely ended in Praise and Thanksgiving.

PPR will fall on every single one waiting by the grace of God. Amen

To all those that mentioned me and prayed for this, THANK YOU

My ppr journey
I learnt more about Canada immigration from a family friend who just migrated in easter of 2018. She encouraged me to do it and preached many sermons on the benefits. After all I am still very much single and it would be easy for me. I researched and researched then I found the travel session in Nairaland. The page became my best friend, I absorbed myself in the information. Then my journey began.
IELTS - I wrote 4 times because of WRITING. My writing was always 6.5 until the 4th time I got 7. Every other module was always passed well. 17th April 2019, I finally got it.
WES: After all UNILAG stress it was out by 15 October 2018.
I was already in the pool so my score increased to 450 after my final result. I wasn't planning on writing another IELTS to increase my writing and I felt the score was good enough but na lie, ITA started hitting record highs.
Before then I already chose Edmonton Alberta as my province of destination because from my research it had a big city small town feel and that's what I wanted: I don tire for Lagos Jare. God of miracles appeared on my behalf on the 31st July 2019. Alberta sent me NOI. I was depressed that day when I saw it so it was a great relief .
Why i believe it was a miracle is because i was using 1 year experience. My NYSC in which I was a secretary and that's about 6 years back. My tellering and customer service in the bank is not qualified so don't blame me. I sprang into action and submitted to Alberta, it was going smooth until Alberta asked me for my personal income taxes for that period. Fear cash me. I just told them it was funded by the government so I was tax exempted. Gave them my NYSC certificate and LOE. 22nd September I received my nomination.
ITA - 2nd October 2019
AOR - 23rd October 2017
Medicals passed - 14 November 2019.
Bil - 18 November 2019.
When I heard my visa office was accra. I had minor heart attack but we moveeeeee.

GU - 6TH May 2020, i ordered GCMS note and observed I was on recommended interview and the reason was retracted. I got ghost update in July and ordered GCMS note. I found out my POF and bank Letter of employment was sent for verification.Their reason was its the same organization. I got plenty ghost update with their back and forth. I put pressure on my bosses at the office. In fact, I was exhausted. I stopped counting ghost update because I had more than 10.
12th November 2020 - ADR for schedule 4. I submitted immediately and additional documents changed to N/A.
26th November 2020 - medical extended.
3rd December 2020 - PPR in my mail.
Thanks to everyone: from GCMS court to friends i made in this group to everyone in this group. You cushioned the effect this process made on my mental health. I am very grateful.

NaijaGoingMaple:
The golden email visited us yesterday. It's PPR and we're grateful for the faithfulness of our God who's made this possible.

The Journey
It was in March 2018 that we were having frank discussion among friends about governance, business environment, career, family, security and what’s not about our dear nation Nigeria. It was crystal clear to us right there and then that we had to fold up our sleeves and brace up for the change “jappa.”

Apparently, we started off with me being the PA; a Masters degree and required years of experience while spouse has Bachelors and extensive work experience too (self-employed as “obioma” or the more formal fashion designer). The race began in March 2018 with renewal of our international passports. The “No Booklet” days was herculean. My ECA processing was seamless (UK Masters). However, with IELTS, the dancing steps changed to “surugede” at the first attempt as I missed my speaking test (no thanks to unpredictable Lagos traffic). I overcame the hurdle by the 3rd attempt. By the 3rd quarter of 2018; ECA and IELTS were ready for spouse as well and we were both in the pool but below trending ITA threshold then.

On this journey, every opportunity is golden, don’t procrastinate. For instance, if we had taken another IELTS to improve our scores and possibly max out on all; we’d have gotten the surprise ITA of 437 in January 2019. Since getting an ITA directly under the Federal Skill Workers stream was out of our reach given our ages, we started learning French by 3rd quarter of 2018 as that was the only option aside provincial nomination. The latter got us the ITA, and the rest they say is history.

Below, is our timeline:

Oct, 2019: ITA & AOR

Nov 2019: Meds passed & Biometric submitted. File transferred to AVO.

..... Long Silence....

May 2020: Eligibility passed (GCMS notes)

Oct 20, 2020: Meds expired (GU, and meds status changed to, "You don't need medical...."

Oct 29, 2020: ADR Schedule 4 (submitted the same day, with Additional Document status changing to, "Not Applicable."wink

Nov 23, 2020: Meds extended (GU, & meds status changed to, "You passed the medical exam"wink

Nov 24, 2020: ADR Acknowledged (email) - Additional Document status changed to, "We are reviewing the additional documents provided."

Nov 25, 2020: Approved - RFV (CSE Response)

Dec 3, 2020: PPR

Why The Abroad?
My first thought of travelling abroad was when I graduated from the university. I’d read about tuition-free postgrad programs in the Scandinavians, and applied to few schools but somehow failed to follow up with documentation requirements and the funding wahala - where “village boy” go get money?

Upon completing my 1-year mandatory national youth service; I got an entry level job in a bank, and the thought of travelling out of the country vanished with the winds. 7 years after, colleagues had started discussing about Canadian Express Entry and few relocated to Canada. But because of the stringent requirements I’d assumed; I didn’t bother to give it a trial. Additional 3 years had passed, and the wind was unrelentingly roosting in my home, and I couldn’t but be ensnared by this bandwagon effect. With total commitment to the cause, there was no going back. In my local parlance, we’d say “we all die here today,” meaning, once you have your hands on the plough, it’s unfitting to falter.

We may be starting over again in a new country, but with a renewed hope for an all-inclusive success. Whilst there may be many unknown unknowns as plans are as good as guess work, we’re fully persuaded that our decision to relocate to Canada is a good one. Where you have a planning and progressive government; it’s likely that individual plans are better guesses, and closer to reality, and for this, we will succeed.

The journey may be long and tiring for some, but the destination is within reach.

>>> Keep the fire burning, and faith unfaltering!
