Ji chang wook beats Lee min ho acting wise.

Healer won't be taking any real awards this year because it was considered a 2014 drama (started airing Dec last year), and won at the awards last year. - popularity for Ji Chang Wook, best actress in a Mid-Length series for PMY and of course, best couple.

I second your thoughts on I Remember You, especially the bromance part.

would you recommend some DAEBAK dramas? I've actually reduced how much I watch, and I find myself strictly analyzing(don't wanna be disappointed) before I go for any when I decide to watch, so I can't say I've watched plenty this year, just 'kill me heal me, pinocchio, healer, I remember you, scholar who walks the night, and few others.

Any good recommendations? Have heard of 'Young Pal'.

Lee Min ho is overated, and koreans had best stop dashing awards to that guy. I wonder why he MUST win at every award giving- are they hypnotized? He is NOT the best actor in korea. Why be obsessed with that guy? People should grow up.

'Healer' was a big hit. Most probably gonna win an award. It should.


'I Remember You' deserves a big recognition. It is not the usual lovey dovey dramas we see. It has depth, and I honestly think the two brothers there should win the best bromance award. The brothers' relationship was far more interesting than the romance.

Is 'Young Pal' really that interesting? Should probably see it.

Oh my! I have to recommend PARK Bogeum for BEST Supporting Actor. This guy's acting in 'I Remember You/Hello Monster' was daebak! I'd never seen this guy act before and I was sooooo impressed!

He totally deserves that award hands down. I see this guy giving some very good k-actors we have now a run for their money. Heard he's just got a lead role in upcoming drama 'Reply 1988'.


Oh, And Ji Sung should win Daesang. Has he won it yet?

very true write up by OP. I've often asked myself this question. The man is the head of the family, so it's only right for him to find and have the means to sustain a home.

On the other hand, the reason(I think) more women now have jobs than men is because the family structure has fallen apart. When you see a man who should love, provide for and protect his family begin to use money(finance) to threaten or keep his wife 'in check' (e.g if you don't obey me, no money for you in this house'), you find the woman moving out to find a sustaining means of livelihood for herself.

The same way a woman shouldn't use sex as a weapon of retaliation, same way a man shouldn't use 'you'll go hungry if you mess up' as a weapon.

When employers(who are human beings like you and me) know all this, how can they refuse to employ the women? How can they not give them more opportunities?

If things were normal, the woman should not be in the work force, but a home maker, 24/7 available to her kids and impact the right influence in their lives(and not the crop of uncivil, disrespectful, unbelievable kids we have around whose mothers could be MDs or in very comfortable positions of companies. And tomorrow we all suffer these same kids grown up with no manners.
