Godx:Lol. My name is Sergey Brin of Google. My partner's name is Larry Page. In 1998, while everyone in the world was satisfied with AOL, Altavista and other search engines, I and my partner PhD project at Stanford was on building a better way to index web pages and search them. I could have been lazy like others and look for something easier, or something uninventive. But no, we revolutionized search as the world knew it. We launched our company Google in a garage. From a mere search engine, we worked our ass off to add a mobile OS, maps, advert engine, browser and several other products. In 2020, I hire a fresh 25 year old Jim who I pay $240k a year. Most people in the US do not earn $240k a year. So why should godx of Nairaland be pissed that Jim isn't being compensated like me or my partner who created an avenue for Jim to earn more than most people on earth. If I and Larry Page never took that risk of starting a company, Jim would have no company to work for. My company Google wouldn't be contributing so much to the GDP of America. |
Melvyn11:What's the percentage of Microsoft employees that are paid in stock options? Is the average cleaner paid in stock options? If stock options is an efficient way of redistributing wealth, why has Bill Gates wealth increased exponentially? |
Why do these people even think these billionaires have all these billions in their account? Do they even understand the concept of net worth? That Bill Gates is worth $100 billion does not mean that he has $100 billion in his account. Most of his wealth is tied up in stocks. Your net worth is far more than the N500,000 in your account. It consists of your cars, your investments, your houses, your convertible skills, your stocks, your 401k, your retirement funds etc. If you're a musician, your music catalogue and popularity will make up the bulk of your net worth. You can have a net worth of $50 million and not have a single dime in your bank accounts. You might even be in severe debt. So, how do you redistribute net worth to others? |
See them saying Billionaires should not exist. Yet, they keep using products from Microsoft, Amazon, Google and Apple. Boycott their products. Stop using them. Over 98% of computers in the world use Windows and OSX. Over 98% of the smartphones in the world use iOS and Android. Most people use MS Office and Google Docs over other word processing tools. If you create a product that most of the world use, you will surely become a billionaire. Except if you stop selling your products or you beg people not to use it. Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook and everyone used it. At a point, he became the 5th richest in the world and the youngest billionaire in the world years ago. Evan Siegel created Snapchat which millions of people use and he is now a billionaire. The owner of Snapchat is now a billionaire. During this quarantine period, Zoom became one of the most used apps worldwide. The owner is a billionaire. WhatsApp is the most used messaging app in the world and the owners sold it for a cool $19 billion dollars. All these products have improved the lives of mankind. They have helped most of us to create wealth, become closer to one another and make our lives more meaningful. Tell me why these guys shouldn't be billionaires. How will you sell a product to 1 billion people and you won't be rich? Should they start selling to a minimum of one million people? |
DateMynd44:If you know it wasn't affecting you, you could have kept quiet for others to speak. Of course, it's all about you. Not about the restaurants, hotels and other businesses losing money. Some christians and their 'my case is different' mentality. They don't care about others dying in accidents or other disasters. All they care about is themselves. Jesus Christ was never like that. He was a compassionate person that was moved by the suffering of others. |
Nairalandmonika:Not true at all. People have tested positive after testing negative. But your immunity to it increases and you have a better chance of fighting it. |
Slawormir:You can get permanent lung damage even if you recover. Some people had 20% of their lungs damaged. |
SirVintageCock:They were on the same flight. |
Simplyleo:Chloroquine hasn't been approved by anyone. It helps but people still die from the virus. |
Yenefer:Coronavirus worsens all underlying health issues. Seun, Lalasticlala, and other mods. This handle needs to be banned. He has been spreading a lot of conspiracy theories and fake news on this virus |
He had been in the country for the last two weeks. Only God knows how many people he had been in contact with. |
This was a recording and not even a live video. The worse part is that they must have edited the video over and over before coming up with those 23 seconds of footage. Meaning he said worse things than that in other parts of the real video. God help us. |
Bluehill1051:There are not enough jobs in Nigeria. We need remote jobs to cater for the unemployed youths. |
LordAzubuike:You've always been stupid. |
Sad. Why do many Brazilian footballers fall to hard times? They rarely have long-lived disciplined careers. Especially the superstars. |
RIP He'll be missed The Gambler Coward of The County. |
BreconHills:I've gone through your previous posts. All you've been posting are Banana Island and Ikoyi occupancy bla bla bla. Show me your data etc. That's all. You've been parading seemingly smart statements behind stark ignorance, you APC bigot. Who cares about Banana Island occupancy rates and the empty houses in Maitama? Nigerians spend the highest percentage of their income on food. The average Nigerian spend 60% of their income on food. The highest in the world. Your ministers promised us that within 2,3 weeks a bag of rice will be cheaper than it was. 6 months later, rice is far more expensive than it had ever been. From N9800 to N20,000 for a bag of local rice. 69% of Nigerians live below the poverty line. Now we are the poverty capital of the world. We have more poor people than India, yet India has a higher population than us. Buhari's anti-corruption is a scam. He only touches PDP guys and leaves APC alone. Under him, we are now ranked 146 put of 180 under the Global Corruption Index. Our roads and infrastructure have never been worse. The only area Buhari tried in terms of infrastructure is railway. And he borrowed so much for that. And Jonathan kickstarted those rail projects. Our external reserves have fallen below $37 billion. It is the lowest it has been in years. Nigeria's unemployment rate is over 30%. The lowest it has been in years. It's so bad that your minister of labour is telling medical doctors to go into farming. A country where the doctor to patient ratio is 1:3500. Your doctors are leaving for Canada and other Western countries. It's so bad that your President boldly told the youths that they couldn't rely on their certificates for employment. After 5 years under Buhari, this country is worse. Far worse than it has been under the previous administrations. Only an hypocrite or a blind man will say otherwise. Security is worse. Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen continue to go on a rampage across the country. We've called for SARS to end. Osinbajo made a move to end that, only for your incompetent Buffoon to bring them back and turn a deaf ear to the plight of the youth. He talked about police reforms. Yet, our police is as worse as ever. Every time it is 'we shall' 'we will' They hardly talk about what they have accomplished. Our public debt is about N26.2 Trillion and rising. The idiot in charge is still borrowing more. The nigger set us back and reversed years of hard work by Obasanjo. He has no concrete plan to pay off the debts. He has only been saying that we'll pay the debt as at when due in the future without a concrete plan. My unborn kids will inherit Nigeria's debt and will be made to pay for it through their nose. Debt that can only yield railway lines. |
BreconHills:Nonsense. Everyone has felt the pain of this administration including the poor. No one has been immune to Buhari's incompetence. Forget all those talks about UBNW and HNW. |
Please guys, don't be selfish! Even if you think you are young, think about your grandparents, people with weak immune systems, people with weak lungs, smokers and other people with underlying health conditions. You can spread the virus to them while you bounce back in no time. You don't want their deaths on your hands. Stay safe for everyone. |
We need to be careful with these things. Hydroxylchloroquine is different from Chloroquine Phosphate which is popular in Nigeria. Hydroxylchloroquine is less toxic and has fewer side effects than Chloroquine Phosphate. No one has approved Chloroquine yet. It's still under testing. Trump jumped the gun with that statement. They later corrected him. Our Chloroquine can still help sha. But be careful with it. Don't use it without a medical prescription. And please, stay safe people. The availability of Chloroquine doesn't mean that you should still put yourself at risk not every one that used Chloroquine survived Coronavirus. People older than 65 years of age are susceptible to death from the virus. People that are hypertensive, people with breathing and lung problems, people with an underlying health condition, people with weak immune systems, and people that are chain smokers will die easily from the virus. And forget all that nonsense talk about Africans not dying from it. The Vice-President of Burkina Faso has died from the virus. |

Idiots shouting scam up and down. |
Nice. I love how they included night clubs and sport arenas in the ban. |
Vortex369:You are a stupid and wicked person. Chloroquine is not yet an approved cure for the virus. It is not everyone that used Chloroquine that survived. Educate yourself and stop being stupid. |
Vortex369:Not everyone will recover even if they use Hydroxyl Chloroquine. |
Bolubaba:Killer Instinct is available. Just call 08069557440. |
RandomVic:It's not everytime you complain. The US and the UK that have more cases than Nigeria took a long time to shut down their schools. |
Good move |
pk2me:I guess the Vice President of Burkina Faso that died is not an African. |
Hydroxylchloroquine is quite different from the common Chloroquine in Nigeria. It is less toxic and has less side effects. I think ours is Chloroquine Phosphate |
YorubaKinging:That's because they reacted late. Some regions of Italy have zero cases thanks to the shutdown. They were warned to shutdown earlier but they ignored the calls and assumed all was well. |
