Shipped copies is different from actual amount of copies sold.

If you Google search it you would find out that about 3 non gaming sites (Fortune, Venture etc.) made the mistake of confusing shipped copies with sold copies.
No reputable site like IGN, Gamespot carried that news.

That was the same way Activision said they shipped $1 billion dollars worth of COD Ghosts but they didn't disclose its opening sales.

Not true. COD can not go extinct for now. Too many fan boys. BO3 made $550 million in 1 day. It's the highest entertainment launch of this year. Even higher than Jurassic World.
And to be truthful BO3 is still a very interesting game to play. Single player, multiplayer and zombie mode.
Just that we've played so many COD games and we're all experiencing a burn out. Same thing with the Assassin's Creed series.

Why YouTube penetration is not high in Nigeria.


1).Poor Internet connection
Person wey never get enough data to Facebook or surf Nairaland no fit talk say he want watch YouTube. For where?

Even if the data is there the network is slow most times except for during the night. The video would buffer over and over again for long periods of time.

2).Sharing Policies in Nigeria
A lot of people would prefer to receive videos through their Bluetooth or Xender/Flashshare rather than downloading theirs.

3). Nigerians can't afford to watch videos over and over again.

A lot of whites stream videos multiple times thus generating multiple views on YouTube.

4).Lack of Internet awareness
Many have not even heard of YouTube before. Some have heard of it but have never used it before. Some may want to use it but they are over afraid of data consumption due to tales they have heard.

The average Nigerian is more interested in celebrity news and gossips than in mainstream articles. Well membership has increased since then and I think traffic has increased. But spamming, trolling, immatured folks, front page booking and a lot of other trash has been on the increase since then. You'll see a very good thread with great comments hit the front page only for it to be debased with nonsense comments. I think it's not compulsory to comment.

Fast-farword to 2013, 2014 and now 2015. The blog keeps growing in popularity. Many more global companies are currently jostling for Ad spaces on her blog - if you doubt, visit her blog and see number of company banners.
She boast of more than a million visitors a day. So why won't foriegn companies beg for Ad spaces.

Let me give you doubters a brief insight of her earnings.

Check out all those banners; the least costs: N1000000.

Let me break it down a little more:
For leadboard(header), this part of her blog; she places only 2 banners, each at N9d0000 per month. The two companies banners to be placed there costs total is N1900000 a month.

For side bar Ads(top):

2 banners again at N500000 each for a month, that is N1000000.

For sidebar Ads(All site wide):

They are 30 in number, and each costs N400000 monthly. Then, that is N12000000 a month for all of them.

For sponsored posts;

She posts at minimum - 2 per day - at N50000 each. So the minimum of 2 is N100000 per day. Multiply this by average of 30 days in a month; you get N3000000.

For the one they call “page branding” :

She charges N1600000 per month.

So haters! Her total revenue fo direct advert alone is N19.5m monthly.

For her adsense revenue, I will not go detail on this, but in summary; she earns:
Cost Per Clic(CPC) X Click Through Rate(CTR)

14,700 x 0.45 = $6,615 daily.

Then in general, her monthly Adsense revenue is:

$6615 x 30 = $178,450(N39,690000) monthly.

So haters! See! Her total earning per month for now is:

N59,190,000. Per month.
