You are going for a fantastic course really. Don't see your age as a barrier but a motivation Sir.
About whether the 15k tuition is worth it can be answered by you. In my opinion, due to the unmatched opportunities in your field, the tuition is worth it and I think it's even cheaper. Here is the deal, use the private Business School as a stepping stone into Germany.
While studying, you can extend your search to other Unis that offers same course with free tuition. You will find a ample of them. Don't be worried as your working experience with a convincing motivation letter will give you an Edge when you begin applying to other schools.
You won't pay the 15k once and if I'm right, that money is divided into semesters so you can pay for 1st semester once admitted, process your Visa, land in Germany and be on the lookout.
Regards

Alore:
Good people. I have been a silent reader. Thanks for all your contributions and assistance on this thread.

I've just been offered an admission in one of the private Business Schools in Germany for an MSc in IT Management. The tuition is hefty - €15k for the programme, though I can pay instalmentally throughout the duration of the course! It sounds crazy because almost all schools people have been getting here are free-tuition or 1500 max per semester.

My chances are quite limited really because I'm in my 40s and only had HND.

My question is this: is it worth it to spend this kind of money on this adventure? Na borrow a wan borrow the money sef! I hope to get a job in Germany and able to relocate with my family after the MSc. I have over 10 years work experience in IT working in one of the IT multinationals in Nigeria.

Thanks for your time in answering the question.

DON'T PRINT IT OUT. I REPEAT, DON'T PRINT IT OUT PLEASE.
Why is your Sponsor not sending the Letter directly to you, why the embassy?
Redirect the sending to you, receive and courier all 3docs to the embassy same time.
My advise.

deluxscript:
Hi Guys

I want to go submit my passport and travel insurance tomorrow, but i will also be submitting my SL. I only have the scanned copy with me, my sponsor will be sending the original to the embassy tomorrow, so it should get to the embassy latest wednesday.

Pls what do you suggest i do?
Should i send the scanned copy via mail to the embassy also explaining the original has been sent and should arrive at the embassy or wednesday?
OR
Should i print the scan copy and write in a note of the arrival of the original copy?

What is the best way here, other opinions or suggestions are welcome please

There is nothing confusing here
https://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/editors/en/cv/compose bro. Regardless of europass wahala, from my experience, these people are not concerned about the format. They are after if your CV can display your personal information, academic history and work experience. Those are the 3 important parts. If you have these sorted on your CV, brother, apply dey go biko

Philfit:
Please elders in the house or anyone who has applied and gotten several admissions, I need a good Cv format I can follow, I tried googling europass but it’s a bit confusing using that format, if anyone can send me an example that worked for them and I can edit to my email I’d be most grateful. Here’s my email philballer69@gmail.com

Boss! It's also obvious you are not well informed. If you are outstanding, meaning you have skills in demand; jobs full ground.
You are only worried if one doesn't know what he wants.

This isn't a problem, it's a step by step process. Cross this bridge first and see what lies at the other side. However, don't burn your bridges biko if you know what I mean. grin

Goztino:
Now, I have a mighty question which I think might be bothering some other people here.

From the information I gathered about Msc in Germany, you are given 18 months to look for jobs related to your field before you will be given permission to stay permanently in the country after your Msc

And from the information I gathered, special preference is given to EU and German nationals to the extent that before you can get a job, there must be a proof from the company that no German or EU national is available to take up the job offering.

Now I want to ask, for someone who doesnt dream of coming back to Nigeria after Msc due to pathetic unemployment rate in Nigeria, how can he stay back legally after Msc in Germany if he is unable to secure a job related to his discipline within that 18 months?

I am thinking ahead because I am the one sponsoring myself and I plan selling off my business to invest in Msc in Germany so I see my Msc more as an investment hoping to get higher return (ego, owo, kudi) after completion and not come back to Nigeria to look for almost inexistent vacancies because age is not by my side to waste since I will be 29 this year
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Wonders7: 3:16pm On Mar 17, 2019
Your questions plenty o and it's also obvious you've not been following up with past pages and parts.
1)your BSC must have a connection with your MSC. It doesn't have to be completely the same but there must be a link.
2) some schools has started application for winter already. Go to daad.de and search for your course of choice. Get a jotter, write each school and course down, more importantly write the requirements of each course alongside. Don't assume, if there is something unclear, mail the school. They will respond.
3) submitting your WAEC is dependent on the requirements of your school. Either way, you will need it. Your grade seems low but don't be discouraged. You can still get admission by applying to more schools and ensure you have a very convincing Motivation letter.
4) you can submit Letter of English proficiency if your school accepts it but if your IELTS certificate is less than 2 years and your score matches that of the school requires, go ahead and submit that.

Regards

arro:
Happy Sunday fellows, please must my bSC be related to my MSC in Germany university, please when I can I start admission for winter 2019?, can I submit my wes result with my bsc on my bsc I have 2.61 and when wes did the evaluation on the transcript send direct from my school , it was evaluated to 2.91, can I submit proficiency in English language as a medium of instruction instead of ielts?

Make your research well, you will get.
Google sites like spotahome, housinganywhere, WG, Immoscout24 etc. You will get something from there.

TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Wonders7: 3:02pm On Mar 17, 2019
Depending on how strict your school is, it's best you get a recommendation letter directed to the school, don't just get a generic one. My opinion

sleekybabee1:
Happy Sunday wonderful people,

Please is anyone here applying for MSC. Mathematics?
I need names of schools that don't use uni-assist.

Again, as for letter of recommendation from professors, must it addressed to a particular school?

Thanks.

TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Wonders7: 3:08pm On Dec 23, 2018
Not compulsory since you will be sending the signed application form to them. They need the signature on the hard copy.
But some Schools requires you to print out, sign, scan and upload again. For uni assist, just sign the form and send with other docs. Regards

Fabcol:
Is it compulsory I upload the signed application form on my uniassist portal??

Hi fams! I'm enjoying the liveliness here. I studied PHILOSOPHY in my first degree and I don't want to have anything to do with that course for Masters! I've been struggling to get reasonable courses for Masters but none seems to be coming through with Daad & the likes. Though I got one anyway which is International Security Management by HWR Berlin but I don't want to wait on that alone. Is there anyone who can suggest reasonable courses for Masters that are Valuable to the current world, keeping in mind that Philosophy is the first degree.

Will appreciate a prompt response. Thanks in advance.

Why not use the basic gen or Nepa powered inverter which was even why this thread was created. To tell you the truth...Solar is very expensive
OK o. Motigbo! Considering the gadgets I will be using in relation to the local inverter, what are the things I will need please? Thanks for the guides all along.

Calculating your usage within 6 hours and using Ibadan your area which is usually cloudy with more rainfall than the northen states, your total Watt Hours per day is 2808.00watts. Which means you will need the following:

1000w of Solar panel: N200,000 (est)

45amp Charge Controller (PWT): N60,000... (MPPT: N250,000)

200ah batteries: N190,000 (est)

1.5kva inverter: N95,000

Total: N545,000
shocked This is suicide egbon! Where do I get this? Can we just go back to the basics please?

ur 24inch led TV 60w ? are u sure it's a led TV of LCD, anyway it should have economic home or eco home on picture mode option which reduces the wattage
Thanks for your contribution sir. The woofer of the home theatre is in the main system itself. It doesn't have a detached woofer.
Here are the pictures of the Home Theatre, PS3 & 24" Led TV.
Please help with the prices of what I will need. Thanks.

CSNg:
150w Mono Solar Panel
Charge Controller
100ah Deep Cycle battery (minimum)
A 650va UPS can serve or a 1000w inverter.

Note: This will give you within a time frame of about 2 hours max in the event of a discharge without intense sunlight or at night.

Alternatively, if the power situation in your area is abit favourable or you run a generator, you can get the following:

12v Smart Battery Charger
650va UPS or 1000w inverter
100ah deep cycle battery or higher.

Remember: DISCHARGE TIMEFRAME IS ABOUT 1.5 to 2 hours max.

If you need to lengthen the time frame, then you need more batteries because your appliances are blasting about 500w
Thanks bro for the contribution.
There is epileptic power supply in my area so the other option of battery charger may not be feasible though I run a Generator but I detest noise & carrying 'Keg' around. I only want to use the Gen for Pumping Machine.

Now to the 1st option; the 2hrs Max no pay me o. Looking at something like 5hrs thereabout. Moreso, I need an estimated price of these items. Thanks once again.
