Story sounds somehow. spark from a phone? Which kind phone be sparking? I suspect some type of official wrong-doing being covered up. |
Sorry about that. But the Naira-redesign policy is not the problem, CBN is constitutionally mandated to re-design the currency periodically; It is the corrupt politicians that sabotaged and prevented the policy from working that caused the hardship. BoldBrainz: |
Wike's wife has close connections with supreme court justices. Wike would get a very big juicy appointment if he is not made an influential minister. tesppidd: |
Why do the same DSS not have to clear presidential and vice- presidential candidates before they can participate in their party's primaries? What of Governors and lawmakers also. Na only ordinary ministers they fit screen? Nigerian governmental system is very broken. |
And what Tinubu has imposed since resuming office is necessary hardship right? SalamRushdie: |
But he is being held in detention without trial today, how could it have been worse for him? Obaaderemi2: |
I hereby declare a total indefinite boycott of fuel starting immediately. Tinubu and his gang must drink that fuel ! |
I believe Godwin Emefiele would have faired better today if he had stood his ground and pushed through his Naira re-design policy. The policy was making the Naira stronger and would have wiped out hoarded cash by looting politicians. After all, the supreme court acted unconstitutionally in my opinion by usurping the power of CBN to make monetary policy. What are your thoughts? |
Yes of course you are right. Franzinni: |
Biggest mistake Emefiele made was not standing firm on continuing to push through his Naira re-design. Had he not folded, he would likely still be a free man today. |
No Gen. Yakubu Gowon and Gen. Murtala Mohammed were in their thirties, Gen. Buhari was 41 when he became military ruler. Franzinni: |
If it is just to dig grave and throw corpses in and fill grave, N700k should cover the cost of burying 103 corpses easily. Tinubu cronies trying to loot N60million, I guarantee you there are no corpses awaiting burial - it is all about looting. Menclothing: |
Since Tinubu resumed everything is about devising new looting channels and strategies. There are no bodies to be buried , if that many people were gunned down, it we would have seen their photos all over social media and it is easy to identify people as 99% of people carry some form of ID on them all the time. jmoore: |
Hatred of PMB has destroyed many of you people's ability to reason effectively. Why are you always trying to include ex-president Buhari's name in your criticism of the present day hardship that has been caused by Tinubu. It severely weakens whatever point you are trying to make. I think many of you may need psychotherapy cure you from having Buhari living in your heads rent-free Stone03: |
Very useless journalism, the article title refers to ministerial list but content is 99.9% about the APC chairmanship contest. As if it has any relevance to the list of ministers. One thing is for sure, looting is Tinubu's priority - even above appointing ministers to help him run the government. |
No, the madness is that you willingly pay for light you never received. If my light not constant at least 75 % of the time that I am home, I am not paying. Let then disconnect me and I would pay a rogue electrician to reconnect me again. eDarlling: |
MTN is terrible and owned by white racist and supported IPOB radio station with illegal transmisson infrastructure, flouted Nigerian laws and regulation, is very costly and steals airtime and data. GLO is dishonest unreliable, internet not reliable, steals your airtime and data is white racist European owned - no blacks on their board of directors though they claim to be Nigerian company. Airtel is unapologetically Indian owned , Steals data your data and airtime. Horrible customer service. 9Mobile Has a good number of blacks on their board of directors but it remains unclear who actually owns them, Their rates are more realistic , they never over promise , overall their rating is not really better than any of the above 3. This is my fair unbiased review from over two years ago when I was last in Nigeria for a long stretch of time. I decide to use 9Mobile for my phone calls and text mainly and it was ok for me at that time , I figured if I am going to be scammed, let it be a black company that is collecting my money. But the truth is that Nigerian Telecom sector is an organised criminal cartel overlooked and facilitated by a criminal regulator. If you want better service move to a different country that does not have a criminal cartel running it's telecom sector. |
Please enlighten me of the verifiable achievements of Tinubu in his 8 years as Lagos governor. MRMRMR: |
The CBN governor office is consistutionally an institution of the country and therefore belongs to no political party. Defending and upholding the rule of law is not a political party affair. Any serious person aspiring for the office of the presidency cannot fail to challenge the flouting of the law and constitution. Aitiku has also remained silent. Nigerians shine una eyes. Landowner101: |
I think given the chance the majority of Nigerians could act dishonestly and take what doesn't belong to them, yet when a thief is caught majority of Nigerians would be reasonably content to allow that thief to be beaten to death. In essence it is seems getting caught would appear to be the crime in itself for Nigerians. *smh* endsarrrs: |
Firstly because GEJ suspended a CBN governor does not make it legal for Tinubu to illegally suspend Godwin Emefiele. Not only does the constitution not give the president the power to remove a CBN governor, but Emefiele had a standing court order protecting him agains arrest and prosecution. Peter Obi cannot want to be president and run away from confronting the flouting of the rule of law and our constitution. BabaRamota1980: |
Yes Atiku also shouldn't be silent , just goes to prove my point that none of the candidates mean well for the country and are giving tacit support the corrupt disasterous way Tinubu is governing the country. ideynl1: |
Obi if he cannot verbally defend Emefiele against injustice, clearly cannot be the right person to be president. Personally, I believe Tinubu is an unfolding disaster and Obi, by his silence on these critical issues is showing he cannot be any better than Tinubu. Jostoman: |
Tinubu suspended a sitting and independent CBN governor for political reasons. Most people now understand that Emefiele was illegally suspended and is being illegally detained. But the person best positioned to call out Tinubu, Peter Obi, is deafeningly silent on the issue. This would tell you that Obi is not serious, he is just playing out his script to the gallery as are most other politicians in the country. Even the suffering and hardship people are going through , he has only given half-hearted lip service against. Please nobody should never be fighting or losing their life on top of Obi or Tinubu matter. These politicians are dining , drinking and sharing our common wealth together amongst themselves behind closed doors., |
Yes and I believe governors are paid money specifically for security of their state, known as security vote. We tend to look at the president to blame when there are insecurity, instead of looking to the governors. Most stateswith insecurity are so because their governor are giving tacit support to the terrorists or criminals. Take the South East for instance, Ebonyi state is the only SE state that does to suffer from terrorists enforcing sit at home, because the governor then (Dave Umahi ) was the only SE governor serious about stopping IPOB terrorism. Others were more interested exploiting the insecurity for political reasons. lexylaw09: |
Let's take a minute to observe just how well-fed this man telling us to endure, is. It seems only ordinary Nigerians are expected to endure ; The rich elite are sharing billions in advance. 70Billion for billionaire lawmakers, 30Billion for wealthy judges.

Breaking News the bad things are already happening ! Have you not noticed the price of fuel and cost of living? God forbid if he is planning worse than they are already dishing out ![]() KingAzubuike: |
Those Asian countries do not have the amount of resources we have in Africa so the focussed on holding Africa back and in doing so inadvertently allowed Asia especially China to become powerfully enough to surpass them. Also the West knows the brilliance of Africans and that if allowed to progress we would leave them behind. ppogba: |
The value of a good name is priceless. You cannot take stolen money to your grave, but you can take your good name to the grave. Your Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, May the gods continue to bless and guide you for the rest of your days. |
As if the had the power to stop Peter Obi ![]() Clowns joking about everywhere ! Although I cannot care less for Obi or any of the other candidates. Had Dave Umahi, Babatunde Fashola or Chibuike Amaechi won, Nigeria would truly have renewed hope, but with Tinubu we are sinking fast! |
But your own land is inside Nigeria, so tell me how you burn Nigeria without burning yourself. Clown! |
Let me refute those that said Buhari scored low on security. Maybe they were too young to remember the security situation that Buhari met on resuming office 8 years ago. Boko Haram bombs were being exploded in Abuja at an increasing rate and one or two may have been set of in Lagos. Boko Haram was controlling up to 14 local government areas Young girls were being strapped with explosives and sent to busy markets before being blown up. Chibok girls were just the tip of the iceberg of mass abductions and massacres by terrorists. Many communities in the North East were in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps. Chad troops were roaming freely around on Nigerian territory on the pretext of assisting Nigeria fight terrorism. Our troops were being sent to frontline poorly equipped and were even reported to be lacking basic uniform and arms and were running from well armed and equipped terrorists. Even a deaf and blind man can tell you that Buhari left Nigeria in a better improved security situation than he met. Secondly people tend to forget that it is not the presidents responsibility to handle every insecurity occuring in the country . We tend to forget that that is the job of state governors who are appointed the chief security officer of their state. |
