All this is Tinubu looting strategy . Marketers are not going to owed payment and yet and keep quiet for the entirity of Buhari's tenure only to start threatening strike 2 months into Tinubu presidency. No N250bn is owed ,this is just a ruse to allow Tinubu loot N250bn and share some of it with these markets on the pretext that Tinubu is paying of a (non-existent) N250bn debt. |
Say it louder revolt: |
You seem to need Ebonyi state to be infrior to your state to make you feel better about your condition. I am sorry to break it to you Ebonyi has surpassed all SE states on infrstructure develpment and rise fast in all indices of development. The sooner you accept this reality the better. oneeast: |
Airport was built to serve the entire region. SS SE states can use it to fly internationally. oneeast: |
Keep deluding yourself. If you in Lagos or Abuja book you free flight to Ebonyi and see far ahead the are infrastructure-wise of the other SE states. With good infrastructure comes investment and before you know it would become the economic hub of the SE. JDJDjD: |
In a few years Ebonyi economy will overtake the rest of the SE, I truly believe that and yes I am planning to make it my base. No resource was wasted this is future-proofing in action. Umahi was building for the Ebonyi of tomorrow that he envisioned. Better that looting and squandering the money as his predecessors appear to have done. JDJDjD: |
Only 25 states have nominees. This hitting the ground falling *SMH* |
I like that the VP is attending this useless summit. I don't know why these countries keep insulting Africa by summoning us to all these useless summits. Imagine they have following summits USA- Africa China-Africa Russia-Africa UK-Africa France -Africa India-Africa I think i even recall Turkey-Africa Nothing tangible ever comes from these summit other than make Africa appear weak. Implying that a single country is equivalent to all of Africa (African countries don't want to respect themsleves, by sending their presidents or VPs) Let Nigeria try and call a Nigeria- Europe or Nigeria -North America summit and see how many presidents or vice presidents would attend. Some of these summits we should be sending Minister of State for Foreign Affairs to represent us sef ![]() |
Ebonyi has also invested heavily in education, their students are attaining some of the top marks in the country. JDJDjD: |
I tell you! It is very unfortunate that people are like this. Ebubu2: |
You don't know ? I suggest you pay a visit . World class Teaching hospital , World class shopping Mall, Modern international market, 30,000 seating stadium still under construction. No stupid sit-at- homes Great roads mostly from concrete. Go and see for yourself. JDJDjD: |
This airport is collossal arguable the biggest airport in the country. it's potential to boost the economy of zebonyi and the region should not be underestimated . It is on par with Lagos and Abuja airports and it is just a matter of time before it becomes the airport of choice for the entire South of Nigeria. JDJDjD: |
Every Igbo man should be hailing Ebonyi Airport , the terminal building of Muhammadu Buhari Airport Ebonyi State, is at least 3 times the size of Enugu and Anambra airport terminal buildings combined. It is an international airport of world-class standards with the capacity to handle the largest aircrafts in the world. When full funtional it would be the first genuine fully functioning international airport in the SE and SS. It has the potential to boost ecnomy of the entire region. Ebonyi state has overtaken all othe SE states for infrastructure , insulting Umahi won't change that.Just be happy for Ebonyi people, because their success is alaigbo success and Nigeria's success. |
Airlines have been landing at the airport since Umahi started paying for 2 flights per week from Lagos and Abuja and anybody can fly for free on those flights. Umahi has also gotten FG to take over the running of the Airport and I believe PMB did so before he left office. If Tinubu makes Umahi Aviation minister then problem solved ![]()

Senate should also allow Nigerians breathe ! ![]() |
Let us put sentiments aside, In these parts of the country females when married move to their husbands family hence why the do not inherit their father's property. If a man has no sons, his brother would inherit his property. I think this case is a delicate one that should be handled with maturity by all parties. The young ladies should respect that in traditional law that the uncle owns the property and not be seen to be dragging ownership with him. The uncle on his own part recognise that his nieces have right to live free in the property and give them all the grace he can manage until such time as they marry and move to their husbands home or die. Basically uncle must ensure the neices have all the freedom to continue to enjoy their father's property as they were when the father was alive. The court order is of no consequence because if uncle does not have N20m he does not have it. Federal is largely ignored in villages where traditional law exists. |
Impunity of DSS or impunity of Tinubu? Why did Tinubu suspend him as CBN governor? Dreamhighnow: |
From your reasoning Tinubu should also be detained for bringing hardship . IconicR: |
Only if Dave Umahi gets Minister or Works, Transport, or Aviation I will say he is the single good ministerial choice I can recognise at this time. |
Only 28? |
So you no see the gutter for road? Look again! Magabush1:
|
Not a bad job, some important roads are just to be patched to quickly get it motorable during this rainy season. Maybe after some alternative roads are ready, the road may be rebuilt properly with drainage in 3-4 years time. blamingthedevil: |
Let us not argue let's give credit to Ikpeazu for starting and progressing the project but we can all see that the project is not yet complete . He also built a hospital and flyover so let's give credit where it's due. Ikpeazu built more than his predecessor. But we can see how Alex Otti has hit the ground running, so we hope he continues and transform Abia as he promised and so far he has been doing everything he said he would do. Cjayboy: |
Abia would smile again! I am excited and I am not even from Abia. My own Anambra governor has been galvanting up and down for two years pulling down buildings but building very little if anything ![]() In fact when I saw the transformation of Ebonyi and now the developments in Abia, to slap Soludo just dey hungry me! |
Yet mere individuals are able to build "illegal" refineries in Nigeria, that the government send the military to destroy. Think again! fineboynl: |
Nigeria doesn't import as much fuel as the government would like to have us believe, if at all. We have four major refineries still functioning and many more modular refineries. The propaganda about fuel importation is to justify high price of fuel. there was never anything like fuel subsidy . So they can keep hiking the price of fuel and call it subsidy removal. The politician saying fuel subsidy is organised crime are almost telling you the truth although they are trying to deceive us into believing that fuel was subsidized and the subsidy needs to be removed. The concept of subsidy and subsidy removal is the scam and the organised crime. |
CNG is toxic. Now I know why it is being pushed all of a sudden. Tinubu does not mean well for Nigeria! Compressed natural gas vehicles are not a clean solution for transport Review of the latest evidence shows high levels of particle emissions 16th of June 2020 Some claim that compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles are a clean, low-emission technology and a solution for Europe’s air pollution crisis. A review of the latest data on particle pollution from CNG cars, vans, buses and trucks dispels these claims and shows the technology emits high levels of toxic pollutants. The evidence reviewed in this paper shows that: 1. CNG vehicles produce a large number of particles. Particle pollution is linked to a number of serious diseases including cancer, Alzheimer’s and cardiovascular and respirator illnesses . CNG cars and vans, unlike their diesel and petrol counterparts, are not subject to a particle number emission limit. This is despite Euro CNG cars and vans having been shown to emit a large number of particles; for one van model tested particle number emissions were 50% higher than permitted for diesel or petrol vans . Heavy duty CNG vehicles are not subject to an on-road particle number limit until 2023 but have been shown to emit up to 3000 billion (3x10) particles per km which is far from negligible and buses also emit a large number of particles. The highest particle number emissions from CNG vehicles are usually measured during urban driving (i.e. low speeds, cold starts) which is particularly concerning for air quality in cities and urban areas. CNG vehicles emit especially large numbers of ultrafine particles as small as 2.5 nm . These particles could potentially be the most harmful to human health as they have been https://www.transportenvironment.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/2020_06_TE_CNG_particle_report.pdf |
Forget his public posturing Mbah is supporting IPOB covertly. If you seal shops and markets, is that not going to worsen the sit-at home problem? Make we shine our eyes wella. meolaniyi: |
I checked it out and it has the caveat : "if and in so far as that dispute involves any question (whether of law or fact) on which the existence or extent of a legal right depends." How do the states meet these caveat . Also it is unclear what consitutes a dispute between FG and the states. Like you said , The job of the courts is to interpret the Law, so tell me how ordering that the old currency must remain legal tender until December, has anything to do with interpretation of the law? SC over-stepped it's mandate by setting monetary policy for FG, it violiates the principle of separation of powers enshrined in the constitution. JuicyStar:

I cannot continue to educate you since you seem more interested in throwing insults than learning. Fsboperator3: |
Best fuel economy is to ride bicycle or trek. |
Lack of comprehension is your problem. The order was against FG and not CBN, so Emefiele did not have to obey it since CBN is independent of the FG. Secondly the order was unconstitionally because it entered the realm of the Supreme Court usurping the power to make monetary policy. Fsboperator3: |
