Religion / Re: Why Are Demons Afraid Of Atheists? by WorldGreatest1(m): 4:25pm On Dec 20, 2013
GeneralShepherd:

Well I've always said it that an Atheist that says all Christians are dumb is as foolish and dumb as a Christian that say all atheists are fools!

In as much as most christians are dumb sheeples, there are very intelligent christians! In this forum there is Insquor,Davidylan, Mr. Annoy e.t.c

Also if you frequent religious section, you would know I have never denied the role christians played in introducing education to Africa not just Nigeria! I am myself grew up in a very christian home and studied in an Anglican secondary school!

But the fact remains that christianity denies basic truths like evolution! The christian church killed Galileo for saying the Sun is the centre of the solar system! It takes a lot of dumbing down of intellect for intelligent christians to believe in god

The bible is full of scientific inaccuracies, logical half truths and outright foolish claims! I started doubting the bible from the age of 10 when I learnt about dinosaurs and found out that the bible forgot such historic animals!

Now I am free!!!

U are a confused man indeed. Ur base for atheism is found on books you read. Just because the bible doesnt include dinosaurs blah blah blah. And u discredit Christians because the foundation of our beliefs is in the bible.

Besides, Christians belief in God goes beyond the bible. It is a form of personal experience. You get to know God more on a personal level.
Pls take this guy to MFM.
Religion / Re: Why Are Demons Afraid Of Atheists? by WorldGreatest1(m): 11:14am On Dec 20, 2013
I wonder how this trash made front page. It is obvious that the Op is confused. @Op, I thought u claim not to believe in God let alone demons. How come u came to the conclusion that demons are afraid of atheists? I can see how knowledgeable and reasonable you are.

Why should I argue or prove anything to u? But, let me quickly tell you this because I can see that you are full of knowledge. Everything in this world came about by someone. Ur phone was made by someone so is the world. If u can point the maker of ur phone, how about the creator of this world? Or are u one of those who believe the world came through some random processes.

Little wonder, the bible says a fool thinks in his heart that there is no God.

Politics / Re: If Mandela Was From Nigeria.....are We Learning From South Africa? by WorldGreatest1(m): 5:46pm On Dec 09, 2013
chigodo: IF MANDELA WAS FROM NIGERIA...
He would be buried in April nextyear.
If he was from RIVERS STATE, Amaechi would have declared one week work-free.
If he was from IMO STATE, Rochas would have closed down govt offices, markets etc.
If he was from Nigeria, a 32-man burial committee would have been formed with intence lobbying.
He would be buried with a gold-plated casket of which the price would be a subject of controversy.
The burial committee would disagree with the family on many issues.
Are we learning from South Africa?

Yes, we are. Most Nigerians are quick to idolize figures of heroic acts. We have a good lesson to learn.

Culture / Re: Help...dealing With Culture Differences by WorldGreatest1(m): 5:38pm On Dec 09, 2013
paradoxqueen: Yes but ultimately me giving up my culture because i am married to him won't happen as my culture is largely who i am. Its my core and our life around us affirms what i believe. But how do i get him to have underfunding

As I said earlier, both of you might do both. You don't have to give it up.
You are different from him, so is he from you. Your view on a matter might be conflicting. He might not see things the way you do, just because you are different in personality not because of culture. I will advise you take things easy. Work towards reconciling any form of difference you might have. Talk to him softly but persuasively. You can see a counselor if need be.

Culture / Re: Help...dealing With Culture Differences by WorldGreatest1(m): 5:01pm On Dec 09, 2013
paradoxqueen: Well how do we decide who is right? Who decides which part of their culture to g give up? How do we live together? what can we do? I am ready to file an annulment because all of the differences cause many problems.

Here is my take.
Understanding & effective communication is what matters. If I should ask you if you both love each other, I am sure you will reply in the affirmative. When it comes to love you can't always have your way. Let there be some form of balance. Balance is the keyword here. A little from his, a little from yours.

Deciding who is right is not the issue but doing what is right & learning to overlook some issues. Sometimes you let him have his way, if you must prove a point do it in a nice way.
Note: You are by no means inferior.

And about whose culture to give up. I think both of you can always do both. But, if you insist on one giving up for the other. You will have to give up yours for him because you are married to him & not the other way round.

You can definitely live together but it depends largely on you both. Let understanding & good communication have its way & don't forget how you relay your message to your man matters a lot.

I hope that helps.
