. I don't dislike any of the housemates. I try not to bad mouth any of them because they were all auditioned before getting in and the judges saw something special in them. They are all unique in their own way.

I am on TeamBamTeddy, but this will not stop me from seeing the uniqueness in other housemates. I do prefer Ceecee to some other housemates, though she's a spoilt rich kid and she's so annoyingly stubborn and may sometimes behave like a 'mad' woman.

Her name would always be remembered in subsequent BBN seasons even when other housemates names might have been forgotten. She's the only housemate whose name has been used as a verb and an adjective... 'Ceeceefied', 'CeeCeelized', CeeCeed etc. The pairing wasn't in her favor because she really do have a lot to learn about how to relate with people and life in general. The fact that she has always never pretended is something I like about her.

If she can work on herself a little more, I think she will be a very good actress. She needs to explore her acting skills after BBN . She's definitely the wahala in the 'double wahala'.

I didn't write that my teachers did not teach us to pronounce words in a particular system, British in my case since our education is based on the British system. I wrote that they did not for the purpose of teaching distinguish between the two, there is a difference. They did distinguish spelling differences though.

The purpose of teaching oral English in secondary school is to make those distinctions.Our educational system is poor. Oral English should be thought from primary school.
My point in this whole thing is that what parents in Abuja are paying extra for should be normal part of our education.

There are many more words that they pronounce differently.

Me and you are not talking about the same thing. When you learned oral English in secondary school, all the pronunciation you learned was based on British or American English, not Nigerian.

Whatever reason your parents had for making you learn it is the headache of you and your parents. If your parents paid your fees because they were inferior, that's your own problem. Mine paid because they wanted me to learn the language well.

Question is English was taken to various corners of the world. From there people developed own unique versions. Americans, Australians, NZlers, South Africans, Caribbeans, etc. They now own their own versions of English.

It is we Africans whose versions are still considered inferior. Primarily because we ourselves consider it inferior.

Nelson Mandela once addressed this issue. He said their many "Englishes".

I have long advocated for pidgin to be made official language alongside English. So how 9ja music has exploded since our young singers became confident rapping in local languages & pidgin compared to the days of Alex "O" trying to be like Michael Jackson.

Nigerian English is not standardized. You can't teach people something that is not in the curriculum. Stop confusing our children.
