Politics › Re: What I Have Learnt From Kanu And Ibo As A Yoruba by wristbangle:
My own view about the current structure of Nigeria is rubbish as no citizen except the elites can boast of enjoying dividend of democracy due to corruption.

I don't blame those agitating for a new country probably it would give them the needed freedom, well it's their right to seek for it. Just that P and I buffoon should stop using uncouth language on we yorubas, without this, I am okay with his merry circus bands of rising sun.

What the country urgently need now is restructuring which will seat up lazy ass governors to look inwards against waiting to be spoon feed by FG.

A case example is USA and look at where they are today. Every state is blessed in Nigeria and I don't know why some useless legislooters will kick against it perhaps free money will not flow like before.

We already have some states setting the pace like kebbi, anambra, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Kano, Akwa Ibom, rivers. Restructuring is like semi secession which would make sense but then also an avenue to steal more money by state governments which leave me with the option on some ocassion to agreeing with markfemi2 that secession is better sef.

captleonerd:
most of our youths like this guy I quoted are just too docile and unintelligent. they don't even known their true enemy so they don't know who to attack.

a few months ago the legislature

- slashed the budget for Lagos-ibadan expressway from 16b to 6billion. moved a whooping 10b to purchase of grinding machines and boreholes as constituency projects that they will never execute.

- removed a whooping 5b naira from the FG's counterpart fund for the second Naija bridge and moved it to grinding machines and boreholes (sic)

- slashed the budget for another road (can't remember the name) connecting four states in the North and moved the funds to constituency projects that won't be executed.

Fashola screamed out and we know the people that told him to shut up and take the blame.

thus country will be free the moment the youths recognise their true enemy and stop chasing shadows

let me mention their monikers

kingsolex, three, elriyaz, zombietamer, josephobaro, paiz, juman, ibifizzleboy, murphyibiam15, totorimi, rexlims

over 11 comments and none of them is sensible enough to blame the legislature for removing money from roads to buy billions of naira worth of grinding machines.

Are you asking me that stupid question? It seems you think that Nigeria's problem starts and ends with Jonathan! The sooner you wake up now that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is no more your President the better for you. We are discussing Fashola please don't act funny with your "IE Hero" destraction.
Not that I am defending Fashola in some areas he has not performed well but If you want to criticise, do it objectively not in an insulting way. Mind u, one of his reason he gave for infrastructural delay is a tangible one.
Romance › Re: All Her Friends Are Boys. Can Any Girl Explain This? by wristbangle: 12:13pm On Aug 31, 2017
Prec1ous:
I still stand by my view.

A guy and a girl cannot be friends.

It is either they have a past romantic history, living in present romance or building the ground work for future romance.

Let us stop deceiving ourselves, the only relationship they can have and I will be half assured is if they are business partners.

All the girls I have dated, they all called me friends and I LOVE YOU entered into the equation from nowhere. Next, we were frolicking under the sheets, so called friend.

This is a secret, the easiest way for a guy to get a girl is to play the friendship card, along the line just change the game by adding romance, checkmate, she is yours.

If you as a girl cannot get female friends, then there is something wrong about you as a person and your attitude.

Guy also have problems and fights but the only time a guy calls a girl friend is when his game to see her pant is not in the advance stage.

Girls beware, you so-called male friends if given the chance will sleep with you without even thinking twice. Except you are transgender or have leprosy.

It is not ethical, someone will get confused along the way.

This is also a precursor to rape in some cases. The day they will gang rape you, your eyes go clear.

This is a guy's secret, we all want to sleep with that beautiful so-called friends of ours.

So girls, keep deceiving yourself.

If your best friend is a boy and he is not hitting on you then:

-You may not be as attractive as you think.

-You have a bad personality and we know guys are tolerant and pussy no dey bite.

-You are being preyed on the till you are vulnerable, he is watching till he can launch. When I don't know, a man can wait if he is certain to conquer.

- You are transgender or blocked.

You only trusted male friends are:
Husband
Father
Brothers
Sons
I would agree with you to some extent but that doesn't mean any guy that doesn't fall into the category of trusted male friends you mentioned cannot be friend with a lady except sexual benefit is involved.

I have quite number of female friends whom we share thoughts, secrets and others things together without even crossing my mind for once to sleep with or have feeling for them.

There are lots of competitive designers. Go to Instagram you'll see them. They are so much these days I can't keep count and they sew really good too.

Nawa o...
What ever made you believe these people you mentioned are the ones that can meet Nigerians demand? Enter hood and see lots of tailors that'll sew fine cloth for you. Deola Sagoe indeed...how many Nigerians can afford her and her kind... undecided undecided
That is the reason why I stated that they are targeting HNI customers of which they can still do more to average citizens.

Yes there are good tailors in market but their concept to become an international brand will remain low.

If we have up to 1000 strong competitive fashion designers in the market with international recognition, the issue of price would settle it's way to meet different categories of customers just like they have in oversea countries.
Fashion › Re: American Woman's Kids Wear Nigerian Outfits (Photos) by wristbangle: 9:02am On Aug 31, 2017
What we don't value here is what others are craving for.

We have good local fashion products in Nigeria but our problem is branding.

Fashion designers like folake folarin, Deola Sagoe, Zizi cardow, frank oshodi, Soares Anthony, Lisa folawiyo, Duro Oluwo, lola faturoti are trying their best but it's not enough to meeting the teeming population demand and their brand awareness in the market is low hence targeting HNI customers against average citizens.
Agriculture › Re: Kebbi Begins Massive Soya Beans Production by wristbangle: 5:46pm On Aug 30, 2017
fratermathy:
The North is finally thinking ahead. No more "our oil" song for them. With the recent investments in agriculture in the North, especially in Kebbi, things are about to take a drastic turn for Nigeria.

South West has cocoa, human resources, commerce & industry, entertainment, etc.

South South has crude oil and other mineral resources.

Middle Belt has mineral resources.

North has agriculture and wildlife.

South East has palm oil and coal.

Nigeria will be great with this combo and even if everyone goes their separate ways, no one will suffer too much.
If only we can bury tribalism and stand against the elites through unity, then this country would not just be a giant in reality but would give a head run with top economies in the world

No Igbo man has done half of what Mike Adenuga a Yoruba man has done for the Igbos.

Azikiwe took the money of Igbos and used it to establish ACB bank for himself.

Ojuku led them to get killed and came back to collect Federal Government pension for his excellence in long-distance running from Abakaliki to Abidjan.

When Ojuku was sick, Bianca was busy running after FFK to service her 'upper Iweka'. Peter Obi was waiting for Ojuku to die so that he can take control of Apga. It was Mike Adenuga who flew Ojuku outside Nigeria and got him a top notch hospital abroad.

Today, a Yoruba man's company is the one sponsoring Ofala festival.

Shameless ingrates!

we need industries not shopping mall, we have alot of them already.
It's because they know Nigeria is a consumption based economy. We like to consume but lack the prowess to think strategically to produce except for few exceptional ones.

Left to me, this is not an investment and shouldn't be in FDI capturing. Why can't they have a toyota manufacturing company instead of assemblage in this country? I know they would use lack of electricity as an excuse anyway.

JudasIsCucumber:
How abt Samsung opening production plant in Nigeria, we don't need more shopping malls, we already have shoprite, spar, ebeano pls
Reasonable point at the bolded. Though Samsung is a south Korea firm and even if they would open production in Africa, it would be South Africa
