MTN always likes eating its cake and having it. The woman in my area had to add N10, 20 depending on the amount of airtime as according to her MTN increased the cost of airtime which affected the little profit she was making from it.

I hate the fact that MTN is my major source of communication otherwise I would have disposed the sim card. Useless network

This is good/bad news. Good news that the foreign reserve is increasing, but bad news that the crude production has fallen to 1.2 million barrels per day. OPEC gave Nigeria a production window of 2.2 million barrels per day. PMB and his crew should sit tight to remedy the situation. We need to earn all the Dollars as much as possible from the maximum production of crude. However, we need the highest transparency and openness in the oil sector and the management of FOREX.
Bros, can you enlighten me on what is responsible for the production fall?

I honestly want to understand in clear terms what you expect the CBN to be doing at this point as opposed to what they are doing now.
Sorry if I may interrupt even though modath will provide a comprehensive answer. What the CBN and FG should be doing is spending on long term goals/assets that will project this country on sustainable growth. Critical sectors like power, infrastructure (road/housing), agriculture(food production, storage, security), solid minerals (processed), etc which are seriously lagging behind needs this intervention. Even though FG is working on fixing some part of infrastructure, others still remain a far cry from reality. Until we address this situation, FG will just be postponing the remaining part of economic backlash pretending as if they are working via dollars pumping. What if the price of oil drops to $40 tomorrow?

You don start again bah.... 385? Where? In your dreams? cheesy cheesy

Nigeria needs a 100$ minimum oil to even start to break even.... a nor dey lie to myself..... it's cos oil rose to 55 +- that CBN has gone on another pump.... Throwing good money after bad!!!

Like i have told you & will continue to reiterate, let CBN allow cards usage across all banks for just one week & we'll see if the voodoo "appreciation" yansh won't be exposed....

I love my country & want her progress but a nor dey lie to myself sam sam.
They know that If such measure is employed, even them (the crooks, bandits, barau among them) will incur heavy loss because I still don't get the logic of why I can't use for mastercard for international transaction sad

Fingers crossed . . .

The SMEs window if not abused should be a good move.

Raising limits on Naira cards for POS transactions would have been good too.

Cashless policy and the Whistleblower policy, plus ebb and flow in the exchange rates will make it a bit difficult for racketeers.

The Naira should do better by far in a year or 2 when Private refineries start working, and 'probably' government ones do better, hoping the agric, local rice and 'buy naija' revolution does not lose steam, with the steel industry, local auto industry, railways and FDIs kicking in.

P.S. It was N385 @ Island yesterday.
Egbon, I would have answered your questions yesterday but I was busy. I know the amount of average monthly dollars pump this year exceed that of last year and years before but it still stands that this is a temporary measure except our export in terms of non oil sectors and refined petroleum products increase tremendously, Nigeria will still be singing the lord's song in a strange land.

But I am wondering where were u when Naira was nose diving cheesy

Lagos is choked up with daily human migration from all over Nigeria, mostly by non-professionals that can only come to add more burden on the already lean resources.
The population is exploding, with more population, the more increase in crime rates, mostly by those coming from other states.
LAGOS MUST CONTROL THIS UNBRIDLED INFLUX ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.
U just spoke my mind. Meanwhile I hope Ogun state govt step up their game in terms of infrastructural development so the overflow from Lagos will not meet her unprepared.

I understand Nairaland forum to be a community. If you doubt me ,check out some people on your streets, you will notice that someone on nairaland will share the same attributes.
The same way iya shade and iya chinedu fights on your street, the same way this fight exists on nairaland.

How to offend Nairaland guys
(1)Create a thread on "Dont date broke guys""flee from broke guys".You will send them all packing into the thread to disgrace the OP.
(2)Create a thread on "My boyfriend has stopped giving me money, whats my offence?"....You will see some women wrappers commenting"i can never spend a dime on any lady"...."the day i spend 1naira for a lady who is not my wife, make God take my life!"
(3)Create a thread on "I am a virgin but my boyfriend wants to deflower me by force"...Guys go full that thread...."Give me your phone number, let me disvirgin u" "who is this again?"..."make we fry beans?".
(4)Create a thread on "Say no to premarital sex"....trust my guys, dem go bash you ,ehn?

How to offend Nairaland babes
(1)Create a thread on "10 Things that shows your girlfriend is olosho" or 10 signs your gf is not a wife materials".....ladies dey always vex for this ones.
(2)Create a thread on "Nigerian ladies are lazy and gold diggers"....make the op run for cover!
(3)When a fellow lady post "I am a virgin, and i want to remain like that till marriage"...Ladies go bash hell out of her and let her see the things her virginity cant guarantee her.
(4)Threads created by tosyne2much and wristbang......Ladies dey always vex like what i dont know. grin

It will always be abused bro. Pumping dollars into FX market like I said earlier is a temporary measure. What happened after CBN failed to pump it? Your guess is as good as mine.

But do you know a woman can be the opposite of all these negative traits listed before marriage, but after marriage when the children start coming she may not be able to meet up again, not that she is lazy but her inability to manage stress. Because as a single girl she has been coping with an average fixed degree of stress, that's why she can maintain that level of being hardworking, but coping with a new degree of stress like pregnancy and post natal may affect her energy level and body system entirely.
You have a cogent point but it's quite different from the discussion here. What can you say of a lady with all these derogatory traits before marriage? Your guess is as good as mine cool
