@wristbangle i apologize on his behalf. don't take it to mean my people hates the yoruba race. i commend the patnership made by both Lagos and Kebbi state. just the same way i commend the way my state Anambra is making enviable progress in that sector.

we are just unfortunate to see this people display thier stupidity on public forum with caution. i have long observed this behaviour displayed by these cynics.
God bless you sir.

The progress of Afonja is causing serious nightmare for u.

I don't wana sound tribal with my comment but this development breaks the local and foreign price of rice in the market meanwhile a governor in your region branded his name on the rice bag as the price is even ridiculously high and not enough to feed his own family.

Excellent, superb and neatly addressed write-up OP. This kind of article suppose to reach NCC headquarters to address their greedy and selfish interest.

Nigerians, it is now up to us to your use our Intellectual, physical and even spiritual force to negate this useless brace up.

To deal with so many negative situations at whole is devastating. We cannot bend to their rules hence milking the poor masses for their personal gain.

That useless man called Adebayo Shittu, his least punishment should start from outright sacking.

Lalasticlala, please this write-up deserves FP.

nonsobaba:
Remove the sparsely-populated Enugu, Cross River, and Kaduna from that list.

By the way, this new revision to the bill is very thoughtful of its proponents. It should be given accelerated hearing and passage.

Any afonja thinking that only Lagos will be given special status must be deluded.
As an afonja, Lagos, Kano, Ogun, Anambra, Oyo and Rivers are states that really deserves the special bills.

I still think Enugu or perhaps Abia, Kaduna and Cross rivers deserves it but since you stated how sparingly their population are, can u mention states that deserves the special aside the ones I mentioned on the italics?
Politics › Re: FG Targets 7% Growth With Economic Recovery Plan by wristbangle: 8:49am On Dec 08, 2016
For such to happen, first of all let's fix our infra structural decay system such as dilapidated electricity, inadequate water supply, poor housing scheme and bad roads in the country before we can lay emphasis on agriculture and other non oil sectors
Politics › Re: Special Status For Lagos Bill Passes Second Reading At House Of Reps by wristbangle: 8:42am On Dec 08, 2016
The states that deserve this special status aside Lagos, Kano and Anambra suppose to be Ogun, Rivers, Oyo, Enugu, Cross rivers, Kaduna and other 4 states with upcoming teeming population.

Phones › Re: NCC Explains Why The Commission Introduced Data Floor Pricing by wristbangle: 8:00am On Dec 08, 2016
Data in some countries happens to be the cheapest, Infact some are offering it free to citizens.

What is NCC business concerning setting the floor price for data. Simple economics suppose to tell you that the market is a competitive one which will make price of commodities drop according the law of demand and supply. If you want to regulate, set maximum price not minimum abeg.

For any telecom operators who are scared due to stiff competition, if they can't compete, it's either they merge or leave the country. It's not by force.

Point of correction.
It was N50 per minute billing, not N5 or N10. SMS was N15 then.

It was a per minute billing, meaning you will pay an extra N50 even if you spend 1 second beyond a minute.

I remember when this "Money Taking Network" came to Nigeria selling a sim as high as 60,000naira with minimum airtime of N6,000 and N5 abi N10 per mins, they made crazy money but thank God for Glo who break their useless jinx and now they are saying whatsapp and viber should be banned.

If any telecom operator is not ready for business, make them park their useless luggages out of the country.

Thank God I stop using their line for browsing. I will forever be grateful to glo even though their network atimes is fluctuating, though they have improved of recent.

Btw, this useless network was the 1st to send data price increase when NCC enforced it. That goes tell you that they are the mainstream together with other small telcos to effect the hike in data price

Smaller operators have dropped some dollars into minister and chairman pockets.. they are now here ranting rub ish... instead of NCC to fix a benchmark on the sort of investors that are needed in the cpmmunication sector, they here talking thrash,, if your small or broke, why should you invest in communication sef?? Pur leaders are our problem in this country, no vision... other countries they would have asked the small operators to merge and form a big coy so as to compete with the larger ones, instead A lawyer a d electrical engineer are out there telling us thrash.... I cant wait to get up there mehn, all this men must sleep for kirikiri
The small operators supposed to know that competition in the telecom market will keep increasing and they ought to have come out with cordial plans to expand their coverage, review their data price and improve their network quality.

It is not GSM operators fault to launch LTE networks because they want revenue increase but how does the small telecom operator view the idea? They feel... oh these people will snatch our customers. If someone is already admitting failure, such person is a coward and that's what they are.

If they can't cope with the competition, it's either they merge or leave the country abeg.
