Left to me, if I have a job with N200,000 per month, I would prefer Lagos. Taking same job at that amount in Abuja would not make one meet up daily expenses.

In fact, I feel hurt when I think about Ogun state. By now it ought to be a mini-Lagos. Can you imagine, that Ogun state also has extensive waterfront along the Ipokia, Iwopin, Ibiade & Ogun waterside area? The state govt should encourage massive development of resorts, estates, hospitality outlets etc, along the shoreline in those areas, and invest in water transportation, to encourage people to commute by boat & ferry, from Ogun state to Lagos.

I hear there's a concrete jetty in Iwopin, and the distance from Iwopin to Epe & Lekki in Lagos Island, is less than an hour using a speed boat, and about 2 hours with big local boats.

He is right about Ilubirin. The project has been on hold for almost 3years.

Also, I quite agree with him about the storm drainage not constructed to curtail flooding in the state. We are not at the peak of rainfall yet some areas are already experiencing flood. Though the citizens need to stop dumping refuse in the drainage.

With the completion of these projects plus Eko Atlantic city, other states in Nigeria should forget about catching up with Lagos. The pace of development in the state is mind blowing.

Ogun state ought to be the sister of Lagos but the governor is only focusing in the state capital leaving the most important areas generating huge IGR in shambles.

You have a good plan but how come were u able to save 100k on monthly basis while spending just 20k? Are u in Lagos? Is your work place close to your residence?

When you must have save the money, kindly invest in a profitable business with high ROI instead of thinking about travelling out. Not all who had travelled out made it.

Agreed, marry a lady that will bring something to the table, no matter how small it is. Don't settle for broke/hungry lady bro. You will be her ATM machine for life.

This question is not something one can give a straight answer. It depends on location. For instance, settling in Lagos and other major cities in Nigeria will result to spending higher due to transportation, health, feeding and housing cost when compared to other locations with lower cost of living.

It also depends on the financial management, where for example a combined monthly revenue of N400,000 will be fine for some couples while N800,000 might not fly for others due to their exorbitant spending.

Best thing is to have enough reserve in order to bail yourself when emergent financial issue show up.
