Vawulenciano: All Nairalanders please help him with advise.
A friend narrated his story to me and I'm hiding his identity while bringing the issue to Nairaland to help me know what to advice him by speaking on it. This is the story.
I need advice. Between the lady that was there with you when there was nothing and the one who made you rich, which one is best for marriage and you are only allowed to marry just one.
I'm Ijaw from Bayelsa State. I loved this girl. She loved me too. She told her father she want to marry me, her father say if she leave his house he will rent out the room he gave her. She said no problem that she will marry me and she took her properties then pack to my house in another town but neighbouring Community and different LGA. Her father kept his word. Rented it to students for the place was University area and student rented it fast. My father said he doesn't like the lady that I should send her away, me knowing that she lost her house for my sake told my father that I won't and when I saw that my father was bent on sending her away, I said instead of she to leave, I'll pack out with her and I did.
Then I went and build a basher at my own place for I have land and we started living there. Things became so hard and we left that place and travelled out because nobody wants to support us from our both families. We travelled to Benin with our last cash and started sleeping at front of a shop at night while we work menial jobs by day. Hoping that we later go Lagos and rent better house after saving some money and we start life there.
After sometime, we missed each other and couldn't find each other. This girl was already pregnant for me and we had taken blood oath back in Bayelsa that nothing would ever separate us. She cut her self with Matchet for my sake and I did same then we joined the fresh bloods together.
Couldnt find her and later gave up because we missed each other. Later I travelled to Ghana with a friend then I came back Nigeria and got work in Port Harcourt. Later met another Ijaw lady from Kalabari and she was from Billionaire family and an only daughter.
After sometime together I asked her to marry me and she said yes. I had some millions in my account and she had some roles she played before I became millionaire. Now, my other woman that lost for so long has come with a son and say we must marry for she trace me back home and my people called me for I and them settled and became family again.
The girl did not spoil the pregnancy and she has now brought back a boy. What can I do, the other lady is saying she won't agree either.
All my ancestors I can remember only had 1 wife each. My 5 fathers from great great grandfather to my father all had one wife. I can't handle two. One wife is in my family DNA.
Please I need help. How can I settle this?
Let him marry the two. Stop disturbing our peace. Too many troubles in the land.
drlateef: Stop talking nonsense!!! If you don’t know what’s going on, ask those who know. Floating naira and subsidy removal are solutions to the mess Emefiele created.
You're the ignorant one here.
Tinubu brought this disaster on Nigeria by making policies hastily without due consultation with the stake holders.
He removed subsidy in one go when he himself advised Jonathan to remove it in phases.
He unified exchange rate when there was scarcity of foreign currencies.
His emperor like mode of governance is the reason we are where we are today.
You don't run a country the same way you run a drug cartel.
Based on your narrative, nobody is qualified to be a Bishop.
Guy face your front and let GOD be the judge.
And by the way... The original manuscript says..
Timothy 3:2-5 New Living Translation (NLT) So a church leader must be a man whose life is above reproach. He must be faithful to his wife. He must exercise self-control, live wisely, and have a good reputation. He must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must be able to teach.
Being faithful to your wife is not the same as husband of one wife.
Marriage is expressed in singular so if you have 3 wives before your are called to mininstry, you are expected to be faithful to them taking each of them as singular union.
Newsfeed247: With $1 (1400 naira ) I can eat 2 eba 500 1, meat 500, 1 ponmo 300 and 1 pure water 100 naira
We have dollarized our Economy so bad that our focus is on the Dollar rate vs making the Naira Strong…let the Naira finds its reall value and don’t peg it against the dollar…buy local, eat local, reduce ur long throat for foreign goods….Nigerians should wake up…..says Isaac Fayose
He is definitely an illetrate else he should know that the foreign exchange plays a crucial role in Nigeria's economy due to its position as a major oil exporter and its involvement in international trade.
Barryseal: Educated illiterate Reno O'monky. You're gassing Nigerians for using Mtn at the same time the country is begging for foreign investment. Is head not paining you like this?
AtoningBlood: I can't turn deaf ears to his needs. I don't want him in the village and I hate to see him in a rented apartment but that is what it is now.
lawani: The whole penitentiary system needs an overhaul. Prison is not a work house or a boarding house. Redress is more important than punishment. Rape should be settled and not punished with a jail term. If you are wealthy you pay more and if you are poor you pay something that will dent you substantially and you wear the tag as well and payment should go to victim with government as broker
This will suffix for statutory rape where the lady is not below 15 and not any other type.
Smile4mee01: I'm a single 39yr old Nigeria guy in diaspora trying to settle down and going to Nigeria to marry is not an option.
I'm an introvert who has been through some childhood trauma in my family and really fear marriage because of what I have seen and how bad it can be sometimes.
However, an old female friend and colleague of mine who we worked together in Nigeria and now in canada recently contacted me and she is also single and not had children. She is doing well for herself and now a citizen there while I'm not. A part of me is concerned about
1. Fertility : I desire children. However, can she have me healthy children @ 39. How many can she have? I discussed us trying for a child , she appears to want a.marriage first. But what gurantees do I have to have children.
Should I be concerned? I dont want to enter one chance.
Please I use God beg you, no insults just advice. Abeg. God bless you.
A 39 year old lady surely knows what she wants and will most likely give you stability.
She can have one or two kids in about 3 years which is still very much OK.
casualobserver: But your vote did not make him president and it is not your vote that will propel him over the line. That is what a lot of people fail to understand. It is not you he needs to appeal to, he already has your vote.
The people he needs are irritated by this kind of nonsense and his lack of statesmanship!
Obi is a polarising figure, you either love him passionately or you hate him with equal gusto. Those who love him were unable to get him to the promised land. Those who hate him, do so precisely for the kind of thing he is doing with this tweet..insincerity and manipulation You cannot keep doing the same thing that didnt work for you and expect it will produce a different result in 2027. He needs Tinubu and Atiku voters and he is continues to do exactly that we do not like and turn us off him.
I hope you are not one of the myopic people who think Tinubu won?
casualobserver: The truth is there is no substance to the man. He is lucky to have been in the right place at the right time to benefit from frustrated youth and Ibos.
If he actually had a strategic mind he would have stayed in PDP, fought for the VP slot and he would be VP today. Everything about Obi, from the way he managed Anambra to the Messianic complex he developed because he happened to be in the right place at the right time, to his faux pas on religion to his now constant desire to remain relevant shows he he is not a strategic thinker and not right man to be president. Fortunately for him most of his followers are shallow. Unfortunately for him his followers cannot make him president and the people who can make him president can see through his BS and are not fooled by his patronizing attempts to appear in touch.
Whether he likes it or not it is not his supporters that will make him president, it is voters like me who did not vote for him. The more he tries to hug the limelight the more we are thankful. At least he statesman like and stop behaving like a media influencer.
casualobserver: On his desperation to be relevant, he doesn’t even know who he is sending congratulations to. It just shows the insincerity of the man.
I have said it many times, if Obi continues with his desire to constantly be in the news, he will have lost his aura by 2027 as people would have seen through him by them.
Sometimes it is best to remain quiet and be an enigma than constantly open your mouth and look like a charlatan. This is captured in the saying it is better to keep quiet and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and confirm it.
If Atiku were in the press the way Obi is he wouldn’t be the enigma he is among his followers.
I agree.
When you talk too much, you lose your value.
Obi should only make comments only when it is very very necessary.
Self defence is when you UNINTENTIONALLY kill an armed person who is making an attempt on your life.
Second degree murder is when you intentionally kill an unarmed someone by a repeated action more than enough to incapacitate the person in the case of self defence.
LilMissFavvy: With what intent did he make the advances? To possibly strangulate her, while pretending he wanted to get intimate. Luckily she wasn't as f00!i$h as you are. As long as he pulled out a walking stick with dagger, nothing on Earth can make him be seen as innocent. It was a case of self defense.
