How do we get to help her? |
I have an Hida account and its true. I get as much as 7- 8k as interest on my account every month. I don't know how its calculated though. |
As far as i Omowumi is concerned, he is RELATIVELY the best president Nigeria has had. That is my own personal opinion o |
The poster obviously has something to hide or is new to nairaland. |
I wount want my spouse to tell. I will rather not know than to know. i forgive him everyday anyway, of things i know and things i dont know but men i dont wanna know cause it will be difficult to trust again. |
This is so very unfair, its because of posts like this that artists and celebrities find themselves pushing cocaine (to live up with appearances). Pls leave them alone and live you own life. They have tried at least they have contributed something, what has the poster contributed |
Now that you know there is a spiritual angle to it, you need to ask God for direction. i was going to say move out of the house so that you can get your head screwed on, but i think it is important you hear the voice of God. Dont be surprised if you have a strong feeling that you move out for sometime, but at the same time don't be afraid if God says you have to fight the battle from within. also whatever he does, take it that he doesn't really know what hes doing and so don't get annoyed. Am sure you counted your losses when you decided to marry him, maybe now is the time to fight for what really belongs to you. Nobody has an answer except God. you can try calling that pastor again for spiritual guidance. I will say a word of prayer for you afterall, what are nairalanders for, you know. Best of luck girl |
Hey, am from Abeokuta, born bred and buttered there. But used to visit osogbo a lot cause of my favourable grandma. The truth is, everything is easy in osogbo. For all you care, having two good cars and living in a duplex is called rich, and i dont mind being called rich you know even if i am not . i lived there for just one year and fell in love with everything there. if i have my way, ill live there again, but i dont always have my way. i know a guy there who has everything or more than people boast of in the UK including a drive way into his house, a swimming pool and tiles i never saw in any house in the UK. My ideal location to live in starts with a serene and safe environment and osogbo provides this because the thieves are not sophisticated and the local guards are very powerful. i remember a thief was almost killed for stealing N500 back then. My dream home honestly is in osogbo with everything i will like to have for my kids and do local politics. |
Osogbo is not expensive at all. I dont know what it is with me and the town honestly, am not from there, my mum is but i prefer going there to my state in ogun. Very serene. Ask people in Nigeria, i have been monitoring but there has not been a single case of kidnap there. Accommodation there is also relatively cheap, though i heard is now going up but i think the town is a good place for investment anytime any day. whatever quote for house or land you got in lagos, just divide it into 2 for the one in osogbo. The Nepa distribution station is there so the kainji story is true, when there is black out in osogbo trust me there is black out in most states of the nation. |
This is really sad, but i will tell you as Christ said that "they that will live Godly in this world will suffer persecution". Any woman that will be rich and independent and still be married must go through what you are going through. I know exactly where the problem is from because i have experienced it first hand. It stems from your being hard working and having your own money. All his reactions and actions are connected to that. Please try your best possible to make things work in your marriage as long as he doesn't abuse you physically and you can find a way around the STD thing. I can tell you categorically that if you leave and marry someone else, you will experience the same thing unless he is extremely rich and not threatened by your success. Your husband is just been an african man. What i did in my case was to help him to be successful that is within my limit. If he wants to have a supermarket too, then help him. If he wants money from you and you can afford it, then give him. The only solution to this problem is for him to be as successful as you and even better. it might sound funny but i pray to God that my husband will be more successful and richer than me and since God answered my prayers, we have relative peace. You really have to look the other way when he does some things to you. Just don't think about it so it wount hurt. Find a lot of other things to occupy your mind. I have a big but here, don't sacrifice your life for him. No one is worth it. There is no marriage in heaven, so if God asks you why you didn't fulfill your destiny, it will not be tenable to say - to save your marriage. Good luck girl. |
You wount believe the electricity situation in osogbo. i just didnt believe i was in nigeria, i stayed at the GRA (oroki) and you could have light 24/7 sometimes. The other relatively bad areas had light not less than 15hrs a day. I have always thought that all my business concerns will be there because of the light situation too. |
am interested, pls send pics to expressionstechnology@yahoo.com. |
Do we have to keep saying this all the time? please give details now, how many bedrooms are there, how many toilets and bathroom, parking space. better still put a pics. |
I thoroughly enjoyed this section, pls keep it coming |
Now we are thinking, why cant we have coal powered plants for the east and solar powered plants for the north. |
I really think the problem has been identified by the Acting President, shortage of gas. I listened to him talk about using coal to generate electricity. I really wonder why coal cannot be used to generate electricity for all the eastern states. Its appalling that Nigeria has abundant supply of coal yet its wasting away somewhere in enugu state. i dont have my statistics right but i once heard that higher percentage of electricity generation in the US and south africa is from coal. Petroleum and its derivatives are expensive yet that is what the Nigerian Government decided to use for all time electricity generation when other countries are looking for alternatives. Its sad that the nation Nigeria has no plan for herself not to talk of her citizens. We all know that failure to plan is already a plan to fail. |

You are right on the point, Nigerians are cowardly and that is why we are where we are today. If all Nigerians speak with one voice, then no one can stop us and no one treat us the way we are been treated today. |
You didnt goof, we just don't know what to say. The level of corruption is so high in this country. Only God can help the fallen giant called Nigeria. Nigerians are cowards, no one is ready to fight and save the nation. |
This is very sad indeed. i hate UBA plc with a passion after they dealt with me too. Who will save Nigeria? Who will stand up for Nigerians. I am crying for my beloved country. |
I wonder why people cannot conceal their ignorance by simply keeping quiet |
Where do you live? i can give you the 10% mail me at wumiabo@yahoo.com |
Whao, happy to know you all June 29's i was born on the 29th of june too |
@poster, it depends on the area you are looking at. Generally within osogbo in places that are not choice you will get for N250, in choice areas it ranges from N500 - !M. in oroki estate, you can get for 1M. however, osogbo is going towards okinni now because of the cheap land, there it ranges from M100 to N500. Do you want to buy an already built house, or land and where? |
@ lawyer, i feel you. if you are who i think you are, selfless with a good heart then you are bound to be hurt. i once offered free computer training and people were skeptical, it was amazing that people expect everyone to be bad. i tell you there are so many aggressive people here on nairaland that it amazes me what to expect in future in nigeria. However, please do your best and leave the rest. Sometimes our best is not good enough, then its time to take a bow. |
What is wrong with him advertising his book on NL, NL is a social networking forum, Nigerians are just so aggressive, i guess its the economy |
Its so appalling how aggressive Nigerians could be. Is something wrong with our upbringing. At least give the guy the benefit of doubt and answer his question or is he going to corn you by asking for your ethnic group. People should be respectful, this is why Nigerians outside the country have problem of trust. for all you care, this guy might be a polish, read the first 3 replies to him, never come back to this forum and have bad impression of Nigerians for ever |
if i get you right, all of no 1 is 9M? pls send more details i.e pic and other terms of the old ife road to expressionstechnology@yahoo.com. |
hey, can you post pictures here. however if you have your reasons for not posting then email me at expressionstechnology@yahoo.com. i need pics and terms of payment cheers |
seun from my state, i totally disagree with you. We cant continue like this. Someone has to take the plunge and maybe its you Seun. If all of us the good people decide to 'leave matter' and not be concerned then we are all in trouble. We have to decide to get concerned. let me give you the instance i heard of a top politician that someone went to meet in Abuja with 100s of Cv so that he could help the people from his constituency to get jobs in the ministries. the politician was relunctant and said, 'ha, there are no jobs, the civil service is not emplying now'. the reply he got was that, 'ok there are no job, but all these people whose Cvs are here could become armed robbers and even if they dont attack you, because of the police men always surrounding you, they will attack your children, and your children's children.' i was told the politician was very shocked to hear that, he promptly collected the CV's and got job for most of them. So Seun, sometimes we have to be proactive, take it head long and do something about the situation, even if it doesnt affect us now, we may run abroad, what about our childen, and our childrens' children. I tell you it wasnt easy for Obama to fight the fight of faith he did. Some people will not even try because of fear of failure but its better to try and fail than to be seen not to be trying at all. Develop a dream of the Nigeria you want, talk about it and it will come to pass. THE AUDACITY OF HOPE |
