It never ceases to amaze me how the so-called learned could spill out words that shouldn't even come of the mouth of uneducated but reasonable person.

Is it right and comely for a normal human being to sell his/her wares on express way in the name of povertyhuh

Should we condone people building on the major road simple because people are "ignorant" of it or because some past corrupt officials allowed it after the so-called ignorant bribed them to posses such land huh

Is it wrong for a governor to distinguish himself from others in other to bring a change to his state and its inhabitants’ living condition huh

Must every Tom, privates and Harry live in Lagos huh

Is it wrong for a city like Lagos to be well-organized huh

Should we always be afraid of change huh

Can any meaningful change be effected in Lagos without affecting some people in a negative way huh

Is it by selling on the expressway alone that can ensure one's survival huh

Gud! I wonder how some people reason sad sad sad
i wonder ooooooooo,
despite all is effort to bring everything back to its normal shape.
yet somebody has the gut to say he is a useless governor. angry  angry

PoliticsRe: Soludo: Obama’s Energy Policy, Threat To Nigeria by wunmilyn(f): 5:16pm On Jan 22, 2009
ohaechesi:
I really want to congratulate the Almighty Bush's administration for bringing me and the so called Nigeria leads to a state of dilemma. I absolutely have no regrate on the predicament as befalling  Nigerians. My concern only goes to the common man whose rights has been totally deprived from in the name of governance. As a bona-fide Nigeria, the issue of implementing a new energy source by the American current administration is a welcome idea. it makes no difference to an ordinary citizen of Nigeria. We have suffered enough frustration in the hands of our so called leads. Take a trip to Benin Republic, very close to Nigeria. I tell you what, you will never bother coming back to Nigeria. A country that has nothing but their leads has shown much concern and interest to their citizens by providing them with constant power supply (electricity), pipebone water, good road and even regulate the prices of commodities if assumed high. so  which ever class you find your self, you can at least enjoy basic amenities as a citizen of that country.

My advice goes to MAMA AND PAPA, kindly go to your farm land and cultivate enough crops for you and your family. Do not allow the so called leads after enjoying the oil  boom while it lasts to enslave you and your family at this time. They should bring back their children from abroad, so that they will farm for export purposes. by so doing, at least our leader could have a rethink. Long live George Bush, Long live Obama and my humble self Ohaechesi a.k.a Nomadic Inc.

Foreign AffairsRe: Amazing Plane With More 150 Persons Crash Into The Sea And No Death! by wunmilyn(f): 3:27pm On Jan 16, 2009
i really thank God for those lives and the pilot and the rescue team.

Phony200:
The landing was a miracle. However, the miracle was unconfirmed until rescue operations began. Hypothermia could have killed those people. Shock and delay could have killed them too. Emergency response is nearly non-existent in nigeria. It's not badmouth. It's sadly true. If it were in nigeria, even if God saved them from the crash, i'm sure half would drown before rescue boats get there. It's water so the plane would eventually sink. Try figuring out the average time that would take and also the average time you think it would take nigerian rescuers.
true talk.
yes is not bad-mouth, if it was in nigeria dat this incident occur,
i bet u, the plane would va sank before any rescue team will get there.

ok take a look at the incident that occur last year november, where a car jump into the lagoon on the third mainland bridge. it was 4days after, they came nd pull out that car,
when the victims were already dead. cry cry

Car TalkRe: Helmet In Lagos: He Disappeared! by wunmilyn(f): 11:35am On Jan 12, 2009
yes and yes lots of things happen in 9ja.
even i witness one dat happened at sabo where a taxi man was found with 7 human heads and 1 hand in his boot last year october, although av been hearing lots about dis ritual stuff but never belived it not until i saw dis with my own eyes,
to be frankly,i wasn't myself dat day cos i couldn't eat nor sleep it was just too horror for me cos i never belive dat some people could be so heartless like dat. cry
we av lots of  desperate people in dis country dat can do anything for money.
so the poster might be right.

i think wat i will advice people is dat everyone should av his/her helmet apart from ritual or no ritual. it is also safe in terms of  health.

only God can safe us.
and as for me i am covered by the blood of Jesus and no evil shall come my way (amen) smiley

PoliticsRe: Pictures Of Oshodi Market Demolition by wunmilyn(f): 1:23pm On Jan 08, 2009
lawyer:
Unlike other posters that are feeling sorry for the traders and hoodlums who have ben washed out of oshodi, i don't feel any kind of remorse, pity or sympathy for them, rather i give the Fashola government 2 thumbs up for clearing that place.

What is there to like about Oshodi? The most dreaded place in the whole of Lagos. A den for thieves, hoodlums and pickpockets. I have been robbed 4 times in Oshodi. Thrice at night when coming back from work and a daytime pickpocket of my wallet. The place was so filthy and filled with all sorts of people. How many times have you passed Oshodi without you harbouring some fear of thuggery or thieves occuring to you?

Under the Oshodi bridge and the railway was a nightmare. Inside that very dirty stench, a large market was in operation. People selling consumables close to gutters and repugnant objects that people would consume and fall sick. As if that wasnt enough, the had to occupy the whole space, making it almost impassable for passengers and commuters and God help you that your bag or hands mistakenly hits a basket of tomatoes or fish, then the rest is left for Nairaland to discuss.

The danfos and molues also caused the greatest nightmare of traffic there making people reach their houses very late and scared that they were passing the dreaded oshodi again.

All those complaining that they have no where to go are lying. These tomato sellers left their homes probably in Badagry to come all the way to Oshodi to contribute their own nuisance and dirt. How many of theses so called traders stay within Oshodi or its immediate environs? As long as the government didnt disturb them, they kept on multiplying and causing more mayhem. Now that they have been pursued, are you telling me that they will die? Will they not look for another hideout to turn into another oshodi?

Abeg let the commuters for once enjoy that road. For years it has been a place for horror stories!
true talk,
i don't feel any remorse too.
but wat i will advice the government to do is to provide a flea market.AND THAT IS ON ONE CONDITION,IF ONLY THE MARKETERS CAN MAINTAIN IT AND ALWAYS KEEP IT CLEAN.
