that is why I get angry with all these partisans claiming to have power and those that don't want to surrender in defeat. elections have come and gone, the system needs to move forward, our economy is crumbling and people are not concerned about their future, all they care about is who sit there to steal and go away without probe, people are so stuwpid that I begin to wonder if they have a life or function with renewable energy from solar or alternative supply.

we have a country with too many natural resources and we can't even manage 25% of it and we are crying for the government to do something. we have ourselves to blame for all that is happening to us. politicians stole 13 billion pounds, 6 billion dollars and we are okay with the fact that the person or persons like this are living amongst us and we chose to suffer and smile or even go further to celebrate them as successful people. we need to rise above indiscipline that's all I can say, we need a revolution to put a stop to these menace troubling our existence as blessed people. so painful.

do they learn igbo, hausa, ijaw, orashi, ikwerre, ogoni, igbani or any other dialects in diaspora like we do here in Nigeria? no! but here we are forced to learn English, French, German languages which will not be useful to many, we enslave ourselves to the western world, we are suppose to learn our languages, our regional languages in order for us to communicate effectively, we have states with different languages and if you are to become a governor in a state like rivers state at least you should speak three or more, know the importance of their culture, respect the values of their culture, but we choose to learn English. pigeon English is even suppose to be our UNITY LANGUAGE where every tribe can centre their tongue and ears to the same level of understanding, but we choose to make life difficult for ourselves.

I see people speaking our dialects as a privilege, a good thing but I won't get excited because it is in their best interest to increase their knowledge.
Politics / Re: Should CBN Print More Money To Aid Our Dwindling Economy? by WuzilistiQ(m): 2:01pm On Nov 01, 2015
the one that gives me concern is the way our polymer notes are being condemned by bus drivers, taxi drivers, petty traders and consumers or citizens. they just split it into two or more when they confirm it has a tear, I begin to wonder how the CBN will get to recover those notes, mind you if you do the math which I locally do, if one million people condemn a twenty naira note it amounts to twenty million naira in a day and if they do this everyday you need to do the maths yourself, and if CBN doesn't have a back up plan to recover those notes it means our economy will be sliding from there as well...... I used this thoughts to run my hourglass and hmmmmm Nigeria we have a lot to do for our economy to grow it is not only diversifying, we need to protect our notes, protect our micro financial institutions and so on. but my point is still on the polymer notes and it's reincarnation or recycling process, if it doesn't have, then my common sense has told me that we are doomed, because the moment a one thousand naira note breaks down to the polymer its not going up again........simple
Politics / Re: APC, PDP Senators Set For Battle Over Amaechi by WuzilistiQ(m): 5:03am On Oct 20, 2015
people don't really understand the political history being set by our leaders and it sets my teeth at edge, when people come to attack Amaechi and say they have a neutral standing.

now here are my thoughts about this man. people are too in a hurry to see results while they won't work for it to happen. this man did nothing to deny him a spot for his ministerial nomination, he should be allowed to go there, because from my observations people talk about him "betraying his brother" I begin to wonder how and who did the best of betrayal that marked the worst of it all.

people collected money to deliver the ex-president and docked the money, came out and lost even their polling units which was in front of their houses, some settled themselves during campaign, some settled themselves during the crisis between CRA, between OBJ, and a list of too many enemies lined up as against GEJ and people are calling CRA a betrayal to his region, someone that was squeezed by the FG, my fellow nairalanders he did nothing to GEJ, if ED. clark can come out to slam GEJ openly which cut is the deepest? if the militants didn't even riot for one day till today and they claimed to have his back which cut is the deepest? if ex-ministers decided to bleed the country dry without considering the man on top and his ambitions which cut is the deepest? with all the hate game and all the blame game on rivals, lack of calculations on political strategies, they went to war leaving their biggest assets behind which was their brains and they are blaming it on one individual that couldn't sleep well during GEJ time as president, a man that couldn't eat well, please the PDP should go back to the drawing board and see how they can regroup themselves and form something formidable in order to withstand the wind of the APC. no one in politics is a saint, let them allow the law to take it's course.

I keep saying it that we need to see things differently before we judge, I hated ameachi's administration because it never reflected in my life I kept having problems with the administration so I went on sabbatical leave and I belong to no party, there I watched how things went and I felt pity for them because with this power sharing formula both APC and PDP Will not get a good balance in rivers state. the people lack understanding about the history so no one should be quick to judge, allow PMB rule and when they fail a new change will occur simple!
Career / Don't Force To Fit In. by WuzilistiQ(m): 9:00am On Oct 15, 2015
"All men are created equal." But after a while we begin to find our place in the society.

Some people are born entrepreneurs, while others will never be entrepreneurs.

Some doctors are born to build hospitals, while some even better doctors are born to work in the hospitals.

Some engineers are born to build engineering institutions, while others are born to work in those institutions.

Some are born ideators. Some are born strategists. And some are born executors.

Imagine a world where we are all footballers. What a world would that be?

Just as we all can't be artists, designers and movie critics; so we all aren't imbued with the ability and grit and tenacity and patience and perseverance to start a business.

If you feel comfortable and fulfilled working in an organisation, don't let anyone pressure you into quitting and starting your own business.

A fish is comfortable in the water. And a bird is comfortable in the air. Nature will never force them to trade places.

If you aren't it, don't force yourself to be it.

Career / Trust And Obey by WuzilistiQ(m): 3:34pm On Oct 09, 2015
Trust and Obey..

As bosses, we always want our employees to obey us. To carry out our instructions without questioning.

We believe we don't owe employees any explanation or reason for anything we ask them to do. We just want them to do what we ask them to do. After all we are the bosses.

It doesn't matter whether, or not, they understand the WHY. Understanding can wait. But obedience can't.

But then, this kind of reasoning creates problems in the workplace.

Employees won't obey you if they don't trust you. They won't respect you if they aren't awed by you. And they won't sincerely and happily follow you if you haven't proven yourself.

When people hesitate to carry out our instructions in the home, office or organisations, it is often because they don't follow us, trust us. Not always because they are stubborn or because they don't love us enough.

Before obedience, there's trust. And trust is earned.

It is better to be trusted than to be loved.

Next time, when your spouse, colleague, employee or child disagrees with your instruction, it might be because of one of two reasons:

1. They don't trust you.
2. You have lost the ability to lead.

Literature / The Meaning Seekers by WuzilistiQ(m): 5:20pm On Aug 10, 2015
The meaning seekers...

In life, there are basically three kinds of people:

The money seekers
The pleasure seekers, and
The meaning seekers.

Of these three, the meaning seekers are the people that adds immense value to life in general. The meaning seekers strive to give their best not to make money, but to crave a tinge sense of fulfilment that they played their parts in making the world a sane plane.

But in every meaning seeker I have met, there seems to be a little, nagging issue plaguing them: they are overtly concerned about how people perceive their works. In my opinion, that's a good thing. Since they care much about adding value and meaning to people's lives, they should be concerned with the quality of works they produce.

But here's one advice to all meaning seekers:

You are responsible for what you do - the works you create and the stories you tell - but you don't have ultimate control over the outcome of what you do. Some will like your works, others will love you and embrace you, still others will despise and curse you for doing what you do.

The most important issue herein is how you respond to what others say to you or how they react to your works. You can either hide from criticisms or you can embrace them and use them as a stepping stone to do better and brilliant works. The choice is entirely yours.

The real hard work about adding value involves embracing uncertainty, working despite your nagging fears and embracing responsibility before it is given to you.

As long as you keep walking and working, your audience will naturally gravitate to you because you add meaning to their lives..

I'm really disappointed by the press. they all acted unprofessional, how can you spoil someone's reputation and after his victory they (same press AIT &NTA) started showing the good side of GMB. pls how will you feel if buhari is your father and you a professional journalist? what will be your reaction? pls I want to know what buhari did to deserve so much hatred?.

because he came up with war against indiscipline people are saying it was wrong to force people to do the right thing, how can someone driving an SUV bring out his/her hand and drop a polytene bag containing waste like banana peels and dump it on an express way, is that person normal to you? how can one drink bottle or pure water and swing their hands, releasing the content of their hand to any direction with caring where it will be landing.

during the campaign the media was never neutral, they aided the PDP with false news, if fact I have lost hope in them (Media) because of the role they played to bring the man down.

the biggest jokers are the media, followed by our unstable politicians then our people who know the truth but chose to fallacy and the prophets of falsehood.

Romance / Re: Dependent Attitude Of Nigerian Girls In Relationships: Poverty Or Greed? by WuzilistiQ(m): 11:56pm On Jan 04, 2014
I think the issue of either greed nor poverty is not the main problem, the problem we have is the corrupt gene we're being born with, lack of home training, and pair pressure because in some cases you see a beautiful girl from a defensive background looking for jobs or working even with the consciousness of her beauty, she doesn't depend on men and is satisfied with what she has, then others put up the lazy attitudes because of how they where being brought up then along the line the family responsibilities became too much plus their inability to fend for themselves they chose to look for a shortcut and others do it under the influence of their friends just to prove they are "on top of their game" but where the greed comes in is where enough is not enough ( they are constantly demanding) all her conversation will start and end with the demand for funds and the poverty comes in when it is legalized in her home to use what she has to feed the entire family (in some cases she does it willingly because she can stand the poverty the family is facing at that moment) so finally ladies have a psychological motive towards the pursuit of money so it stays in between greed & poverty.

It has all come down to the saying that the world is filled with vanity, my rock music quotes '' some of these were here before us, some of these may go before us'', so it should'nt be seen as a new thing, because i for one had envasaged it to happen way back before this time, people even discuss about it so why are people fuming the place? Lets go back to when people queue up under the sun to buy SIM-cards for #30-35k, then black market SIM's were sold for 40-50k, now it is been sold for a hundred Naira. Well i think the problem is from or level of excitment for technology, porpularly known as ''technomania'', so we only have to keep our minds open & know that all these things are part of the business to make another man wealthy, you have no other option than to assist them to make it work for your own good or you go back to the old time way of letter writting lolssss i had to laugh cos non of us will want to go down there, but the truth of it is that the BB-phones are not strong in terms of their battery life, so if an android can carry the load of pinging & doing the rest of the job why wont they be giving the license to do that? Please lets stop fooling ourselves and leave the name, if u want to keep ur BB-phone u can do that, if u want to own an android with the BBM app on it pls its no crime, but it will all come down to vanity-vanishing.....just use a smart phone, drink a pepsi & LIVE FOR NOW

Religion / Pastor Who Operates With A Herbalist Caught In The Act by WuzilistiQ(m): 10:21am On Aug 12, 2013
Ajuwa, a town in Ikenne local government area of Ogun State is known for its agrarian nature. But some of the people seem to have, lately, abandoned agriculture for the more “lucrative” business.

And it is all about pipeline vandalisation. They burst the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s (NNPC) pipelines passing through their village to steal fuel which they sell.

Vanguard gathered that, apart from Arepo village in Obafemi-Owode local government area of Ogun State, where some vandals lost their lives while scooping fuel, the next hot spot for black market Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol, is Ajuwa.

Before security men raided the NNPC right of way in the village, vandalisation was said to have been a thriving activity in the area. Ajuwa is two kilometers away from the old Ogere toll gate on Lagos-Ibadan expressway and sandwiched by Ogere Water Corporation and the popular Siun market .

The well organised vandals built a wooden bridge across the river in the bush through which they get to the ‘depot’ to steal fuel. Hundreds of Jerry cans filled with stolen fuel and cars loaded with Jerry cans were seen along the road when Vanguard visited the village. There was a police check point nearby.

Many travellers expressed shock when news filtered in that the vandals made use of the police ‘parking space’ in the night in the process of carrying out their operations.

It was gathered that pipeline vandalisation had been on going in the area for a long time before security men raided the village and arrested 28 suspected oil thieves who were mostly youths and artisans.

A popular pastor, his herbalist accomplice, and a young woman who claimed to have just been divorced by her former husband were among the suspects. The raid, executed by men of Nigerian Army from 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta and those of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence in Ogun State, followed a tip-off by some of the villagers.

28 persons were arrested while seven assorted vehicles, 363 Jerry cans, a hose as well as some substances believed to be charms were part of the items recovered.

Meanwhile, some of the suspects caused a stir when they mentioned one Sergeant Adamu, believed to be attached to a police station in Ogere, as one of their sponsors. A suspects who gave his name as Monday Bitrus, 20, from Katsina State, said at least five vandals were working for Adamu. He claimed to have joined the business two months ago.

Another suspect, Ibrahim Wasiu, 22, said, “Before my arrest, I could count five to six policemen who were working with us”.

From what we gathered, the pastor is very popular in the area and his action is now the talk of the town, especially among his loyal members versus those who weren’t attending his church.

Education / Re: Academic Activities At RSUST Despite ASUU Strike by WuzilistiQ(m): 12:49am On Aug 11, 2013
Una no dey pity RSUST? Every time na dem Nigeria dey use do the wrapper to carry the keg of strike, before dem go sey strike the whole school don close, we never talk of their internal strikes wey fit happen twice a year, taking away two to three months from the calendar plus ASUU wey fit take six months wetin go come remain for the year na? Now don't be deceived UST is the worst school to attend, engineering course that should be for five years will keep you for ten good years

My friends are still there just because of the new digital development in the school, this has lead to the loss of results if the lecturer can't find them it means a resit.

My friends this year will make them nine & they have been given pass irrespective of the problem, the governor on the other hand is not helping the school, he appoints whosoever pleases him to run the school, sometimes he appoints people that are not qualified, leading to lack of compatibility an this is how the school will be in disarray & the physical notification is the internal strike

As I speak with you,ASUU lecturers in the school are still on internal strike still on the old issue that lead to a five months plus this nationwide strike like 50% of the lecturers are on strike, so they are the worst institution on this part of the planet, so don't be deceived the governor is suffering a boomerang of what he did to the VC election process where his friend came of last out of the five candidates and he selected the last person and imposed him on them so since then the school has not been stable, they just recruited new lecturers to cover for the ASUU commited members in the school

I just hope the struggle for benefits will no be effective in that school so that they will see how bad it will look when the deal has been settled

Please anyone that is for GAY union is EVIL & has no place in the kingdom, anyone that supports evil no matter how you try to compress it, you will never make heaven, as a true believer of christ we need to stay away from what we know will never glorify the kingdom, did God create Adam & Eve or Adam & Steve? Let's set the records straight, well the pope can approve gay marriage or even let his fellow priest to go out & have fun once in a while, am happy that the tool for our amalgamation (constitution) as a country doesn't allow that to happen, I just pray it holds the philosophy of not existing for my childrens children to know that it is evil... Politics / Politics With The Rights Of The Girl Child. by WuzilistiQ(m): 5:49pm On Jul 20, 2013
Posted by Richard Chilee
In 2010, when the 49-year-old, former Zamfara State governor turned senator, Ahmed Yerima, married the 13 year old Egyptian girl at the central mosque, Abuja, it caused widespread uproar among human rights activists, women’s group, medical practitioners and the political environment in Nigeria. As a result of the storm, the Senate ordered an investigation into the case and promised to give fair hearing to the matter. But after three years and countless interventions and pressure from a heinous Islamic sect, the Senate is gradually yielding to the persuasions to pass a law that supports the forceful marriage of the under-age girl child in Nigeria.

In 2010, two months close to the completion of my one year compulsory NYSC programme in Bebeji, Kano State, a Muslim friend, whose child I had mentored and helped transform into a more responsible young man, became excessively happy and showered me with gifts. Part of the many gifts I received from this friend and others from the community was a beautiful, 12 years old, Aminat. I humbly accepted the other gifts but sternly and cautiously rejected the proposal of marrying Aminat, a child I had never previously met. Even though the proposal came with the condition that I would convert into a Muslim, it was a startling revelation.

“How on earth would I marry little Aminat?” They smiled heartily, amidst cups of Shai and hot, freshly prepared Suya, and told me that that was their special way of showing gratitude for what I had done; and they believed I would make a good and responsible husband since I was rich and educated. This preposterous experience made me embark on a two month campaign on the disadvantages of early girl child marriage. But all my hassles fell on deaf ears. The poor, old and illiterate Muslims would not listen to a naive Youth Corps Member. The village young men later told me to mind my business, which I quietly did.

My clamour for the sensitisation of the disadvantages of the early marriage of the girl child exposed me to three major reasons the Muslims indulge in such heinous act of child exploitation.

One of the reasons the Muslims indulge in the early marriage of the girl child is religion. Most of them believe that a woman is to be married when she comes to maturity. For many Muslims, this maturity comes to fruition when a young woman experiences her menarche. Age in this context does not matter. In fact, they hold that the moment a lady marries, she is of age. But the bigger question is this ‘what age?’

Another reason many Muslims engage in this early marriage of the girl child is poverty. Material poverty has eaten so deep into the fabric of the Nigerian society that every family is looking for means to survive, however crazy those means are. Many Muslims see their girl child as a prize which must be sold to the highest bidder; particularly if she is beautiful. Believe me, you will never find any wealthy Muslim that will agree to give out his/her child at age 13; they would rather allow that child to come to an adequate age before marriage is considered.

And these wealthy ones are in the habit of using this poverty as a means to exploit the poor ones in their midst.

The final reason Muslims indulge in this early child marriage is illiteracy. In the north, majority of the population are illiterate. They don’t have the basic education that prepares them to deal the challenges of everyday life. The basic part of their education is based on the Koran which is also instituted on their religion; a religion which permits a Muslim to marry as many as he could cater for. The educated ones do not indulge in this heinous practice; instead, they will also allow their girl child to become mentally and physically prepared for marriage before they marry. Only the poor and illiterates are allowed to wallow in ignorance.

Our major impediments to the development of Nigeria are our politics and religion. It is sad that these same politics and religion are beginning to affect the live of the innocent girl child. Every girl child has a right to good health care, security of live, education, etc; and a society that fails to protect those rights of the girl child has failed. On the path to modernisation and industrialisation, we must fight to abolish those traditions and part of religions that do not fit in today’s world by making laws that protects the fundamental rights of everyone, including the girl child.

The Nigerian constitution is a secular document that must be superior and govern the activities of every Nigerian; it must also supersede all laws in Nigeria, irrespective of religion and ethnicity. People must stop hiding under the umbrella of religious and ethnic laws to carry out different kinds of despicable activities. No sane society can uphold justice when it creates laws for different people. Nigeria will keep experiencing child molestation when different kinds of laws are created for Muslims and another one for Christians.

If Malala was married off at age 10, we wouldn’t have heard about her great potentials. She wouldn’t have stunned the world with her beautiful speech at the UN on her 16th birthday. Maybe she would have been used, exploited, divorced and resigned to her fate or she would have been saddled with the responsibility of taking care of babies and a man, old enough to be her father. I believe there are many Malalas calling to the Nigerian and world governments to come and redeem them from the hostages they have been taken.

The girl child needs a good life, sound education and above all, freedom to choose whoever she wants to spend her life with at an adequate age. Train a child today, and you train a nation tomorrow.

We are in the state of anarchy, I just hope & pray that we all come to understand where this political motives are headed, I can't imagine citizens of this state compromising our security to the ill state that it was just for power to change hands. Now this is a simple question one needs to ask oneself; "if nyesom & his friend ameachi were not quarreling would this thing be brought to lame light"?....like I said earlier on "After the game of chess, the King and the pond will go back into the same box".I pity people that are putting themselves on the line in the aftermath of the sharing of greed by a group of people that are also stock with the natural bond of temporary friendship, thou shall not kill including yourself".
