TULLOP: Thanks evyone thats helped me so far on this issue, well i havnt even us the car for 2 weeks,am just so fed up,all am trying to do now is to sell it and get the honda accord,i actually ordered it so i dont have any dealer and its giving me a hard time getting someone to buy it,the customs papers are all intact and ready,i even registered it about a week agoi just contacted someone yesterday if by any means he can help me sell it and i just go for the honda ..if theres anyone interested i would like to trade and deal well with the person provided the honda is still a tokunbo car.anyone interested or has any clue on how i can sell it fast should please contact me and help me deal with this.thak you so very much everyone..why not continue to use your car as it is since it has no issues. Car dealers are so trickish, I hate relating with them, if they see your desperation, they will take advantage of it to exploit you. The corolla and EOD sells for almost the same price in the market, there is no way a dealer will not make you lose anything around 500k on that car. So I will advise you to continue using your corolla while looking at the accord as a future investment or you try to sell your car your self on nairaland. This is my advise and its from experience. I once bought a big daddy for 1.5M and started feeling the same way you are feeling now after 1month, all the 3 dealers I contacted including the one that sold it to me told me nobody will buy the car for more than 700k - 800k since it is registered, I did not engrave it o, can you see how wicked they are? I later sold the car to the mother of a friend for 1.2m, I didn't know about nairaland then. Please, sell your car yourself or you continue using it as it is, cheers! |
how about using some unconventional means to ensure you don't enjoy the car, look elsewhere for a used car Bro, cheers! |

At 40, a man ought to have discovered and begun to find fulfillment in the purpose for which his maker and God created him not just these fickle and ephemeral list which a clever 19 year old yahooyahoo guy could boast of. Why are you here? What is going to be your contribution to your world and generation? By what will you be remembered after your departure from here? These are some of the questions a 40 year old man ought to be able to answer. Looking at this list, I am seriously disturbed at the kind of things we young people think are the right things. Jesus Christ said "a man's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he has". These are the things that our forebears pursue that is now almost denying us a future because they are stealing our commonwealth blind daily. let us change our thinking pattern if our nation will ever come out of the woods. Where are the Awos of our generation? Can we have a Zik again? Where are the Ahmadu Bellos of today? These people formed a strong force that fought vehemetly told liberate is from the bondage of the colonialists in their youthful days, here we are today only after money, money and more money as if its that is to life, and this is the quest everywhere including the religoous houses. The other day, a pastor started teaching his congregation how to have multiple strings of income and a lady asked for the reasons for multiple when one could do one well and be a master in it, the first reason the pastor gave was that so that they will be able to contribute more to the work of God, meanwhile the only work of God I see around this MOG is that he. lives in the best part of town and drives 5 exotic cars/suvs. May God help us. We need thinkers in our generation not just consumers, we need investors, we need inventors. The Isaac Newtons of this world were born like us, the Henry Fords didn't fall from heaven. We can do better than them if we focus. on the right things and not pursuing the minors like international passport and cars, cheers! |

Let your mechanic check the engine and gear sittings, its likely going to be bad. Have them changed if it is, its not usually expensive. But if its gear problem, you may have to look for money for replacement of the gear as most mechanics around dont really know how to work on these auto trans. I angrily sold my former Toyota Camry Orobo after two mechanics who claimed to be versed in auto trans rebuilding messed up the whole thing. I was about buying a tokunbo gear when I came across this forum and saw many members speaking in favour of manual gears. I bought a manual and now enjoy my rest of mind. No more jacking and high banging when moved from P to D, no more expensive gear servising, no more extortion and ripping off by so called "auto trans experts". |
