Career / Re: 200 Thousand Minimum Wage Breakdown By Chatgpt by wwwkaycom(m): 11:20am On Jun 06, 2023
Honestly speaking, N200K ($280) is too small to be called minimum wage in our country today but how many states of the federation can pay it? More than 10 states have not implement N30K as of today, where will they get N200k? Even if revenue sharing formular is adjusted to favour the states, many states will still not pay, not even N50K.
The way out is for workers to take their destinies into their hands and work more harder. Let people look for more legitimate sources of income to compliment what the government will pay. I know a school teacher who is also a shoemaker in Akure. When that man build shoe or sandal for you, it will pass for imported Italian or American shoe and his charges are so moderate that you will always want to patronize him again. This man lives well with his family and have never been seen to be under financial pressure, not once. I also know another teacher who repair phones, he will repair your phone and bring it to your house on his bike. In 2021, he built a house without taking loan or borrowing from anyone. There are so many other sources of income that will help workers to weather this rough time. For those who have access to land, brood and sell broiler production, tomato, okro, pepper etc can be grown and this yields beautiful profits, POS business, sale of simple household items, food items, ponmon sales, the list is endless.

You can be sure that obidients will take this to town and dance naked in the market square because of the "good news". Meanwhile, the witness, Madaki also contradicted himself under cross examination by counsel to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), by admitting that FCT is like any other state.
Obi goes no where friends, no amount of falsehood, half truths or misinterpretation of our constitution can help Obi to win at the tribunal, ire o!

Car Talk / Re: The Effect Of Fuel Subsidy Removal On The Prices Of Cars by wwwkaycom(m): 3:42pm On Jun 03, 2023
zeenaman:
Personal opinion:

The relationship between cars and Petrol is complementary in nature. Complementary in the sense that, one is needed to augment the other, just like garri and kulikuli.

Going by basic economics principle, there is an inverse price relationship between complementary goods i.e an increase in the price of one results in decrease in the demand for the other. With this, it is conceivable that with increase in the price of petroleum, there will be less demand for cars, hence result in price crash occasioned by excess supply over demand.

Also, from the angle of the Federal government, the rich benefit more from the subsidy. People with ten cars will now find it unfunny fueling the convoy, and this may result in selling off some of the vehicles. This should further increase the supply of cars and drive down the price.

Let's talk about this, do you see the price of cars crashing? Let's leave out the Nigerian factor, corruption and base our argument on fact.
My friend put up his 2008 Nissan Pathfinder for sale since April, as of last week, people were pricing it N1.5m - N1.6m which he didn't agree. Yesterday, two different individuals came to price it N900K and N1.1m and all their excuse was fuel price. My friend is regretting not selling it off last week at N1.5 or N1.6m.
This subsidy removal also has the tendency of raising the prices of small cars with high gas mileages such as Corolla, Civic etc while discouraging heavy consumers like my friends 4.0L V6 Nissan Pathfinder especially Naija used ones.

Car Talk / Nigerians Should Shift To Diesel Engine Vehicles To Weather This Subsidy Removal by wwwkaycom(m): 3:19pm On Jun 03, 2023
I came back from Cameroon few days ago. I discovered that in Cameroon, they use mostly Diesel engine vehicles. Cars, SUVs, Buses and Lorries. I also discovered that prices of PMS (Petrol) and AGO (Diesel) at filling stations are CFA 730 and CFA 720 respectively meaning that AGO also called Diesel is a bit cheaper than PMS (Petrol). I asked from a Cameroonian friend who attended same training with me why they used mostly diesel vehicles and he told me AGO (Diesel) is far cheaper than petrol, diesel vehicles are stronger in their hilly terrains while going up North from Yaounde the country's capital and that diesel gives more mileage than petrol i.e. the same liters of diesel will cover more kilometers than petrol on the same vehicle type.
I think Nigerians can do a gradual shift from petrol cars to diesel cars. The excuse has always been no diesel mechanic, no parts, diesel is expensive etc, I want to believe that with time, all the challenges will disappear as I know Nigerians will solve all these in no time if there is business along the diesel way.
I also believed that the labour movement in Nigeria apart from strike and all these talk about opposition to subsidy removal should begin to challenge oil marketers on why diesel is more expensive than petrol here.
I have been thinking seriously about this since tuesday when the present fuel issue started, cheers.

When we told you that you don't have liver for the kind of politics you were dabbling into, you said we dey joke. Because Atiku gave you opportunity in 2019, you started having an over-bloated idea of yourself, seeing yourself as presidential material even when your outing as a governor in Anambra State was a very poor one. Just keep calm, you will soon know that Nigerian politics is not meant for lily livered individual who cries over every little challenge they see. If the drama you saw at the CA yesterday is not enough, you will see drama very soon, nonsense.

Politics / Re: My Concern About This Inauguration by wwwkaycom(m): 2:21am On May 29, 2023
gazilion:
Our concern about this inauguration is that the whole world including those being inaugurated know they didn't win the election. The sanctity and veracity of the election is still being challenged in the law courts. If this democratic rape is not checked now, the nation may never witness any genuine electoral process again forever.

When shall we get it right as a nation? People, invested their time and energy including resources to get it right only for a few individuals to collect bribe and try to subvert the will of the people with impunity.

My Prayer is that there will be a divine intervention that will subvert this wickedness! The Counsel of the Almighty God in Nigeria shall stand!!
The concern of an Obidient, peace!
