These guys never learn anything. They think that Emefiele induced 6million votes for Peter Obi will ever repeat itself in Nigeria again. They are mistaking the sympathy votes Obi got because of Buhari, APC and those religious extremist YesDaddies to popularity of their factionalized party. I started flying Green Africa Airlines from Akure to Abuja since a friend introduced me to the airline early this year. Before now, I used to fly Peace Airlines but had to change because Peace Airline don't fly Akure - Abuja or Abuja - Akure everyday of the week like Green. While Green offers great services, one annoying thing about them is this tiny bottled water they serve in theirs flights. I am talking about a flight that sometimes cost as much as N140k (depending on when you book) for a flight of 45 minutes and they can's afford to serve 500 naira refreshment but that tiny 20cl bottled water, very annoying! I have complained about this few times but their flight attendants will only smile, apologize to you politely and go away while changing nothing. Even cheaper Overland Airlines serves something better. Its not that I can't afford to eat whatever I want at the airports but one just feel Green Africa should do better than offering this tiny and annoying bottle water.

My childhood friend is based in Texas, USA. He traveled out 12 years ago. Actually I work with government in Nigeria with a salary of 180k per month. It is becoming increasingly tough to take care of family responsibilities so early this year, I started making moves to relocate to US or Canada.

But the issues surrounding japa are quite enormous so I reached out to my friend to seek his advise, suggestions and possibly financial loan which I will pay back. He gave me some important reasons why I shouldn't migrate. He spoke about my age, no technical skill, finances, leaving known for unknown and difficulties faced by new comers in America. I didn't agree with these reasons even though he sounded genuine. I left him and started making other moves but eventually realized I still needed him.

8 months later, I spoke with him again, he repeated the same reasons why I shouldn't relocate. I am not 50 yet, I know a 56 year old man who relocated to Canada late last year and today his family members have started faring well here in Nigeria. Infact, his son who is presently rounding off his NYSC will be moving by march next year so what is the fuss about my age? I have made up my mind to stop seeking his support and carry my cross myself.

I have interest in a Ford car. I'm looking at Fusion, Focus or Taurus. But looking through Jiji, Nairaland Autos, Facebook Marketplace etc, I discovered that Nigeria used version of these cars goes for prices far below their Toyota and Honda counterparts. For instance, I have inspected a 2011 Ford fusion going for N1.4million. It was used by a lady banker. I thought it was bad but on inspection with the assistance of an expert, I discovered that it was 90% ok and that the issues it had were to change tyres and take care of a little dent at the back. Honestly I am considering buying this Nigeria used to safe some cost which I could use for other things. My mechanic told me I won't get parts but my finding revealed that the parts are so plenty in Lagos. So what are the reasons why Used Ford cars are cheaper than their Toyota and Honda counterparts in Nigeria.

Edo North: Oshiomhole floors Alimikhena at election tribunal

The National/State Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Benin, on Monday dismissed the petition of Senator Francis Alimikhena of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), challenging the victory of Senator Adams Oshiomhole of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the 25 February, 2023, Edo North Senatorial District election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), had announced the former governor of the state as winner of the election.

Not satisfied with the declaration, Alimikhena filed a petition at the Tribunal seeking to upturn the result announced by the electoral umpire, in a suit numbered EPT/ED/SEN/02/2023.
Affirming the victory of Senator Oshiomhole, the three-man tribunal headed by Justice O.A. Chuioke, dismissed Senator Alimikhena’s petition for lacking in merit.

In a unanimous judgement on behalf of the tribunal chairman, Justice Chuioke, Justice Alero Akeredolu, held that the petitioners failed woefully to proved their case, adding that they cannot rely on weakness or strength of the respondents to prove their cases against Comrade Oshiomhole.

Again, Justice Akeredolu held that the petitioners also failed to tender before the tribunal any relevant document to prove a case of non -compliance as contained in their petitions.
