Rubbish trash as usual.

Are you old enough to remember the level of impunity, nepotism, and other crimes that Marilyn Ogar carried out under Jonathan?
You people were supporting her then, she could do no wrong. She invaded the office of the opposition party, she prevented political opponents from traveling out of the country.

Ogar and this one are both the same. You have no right to wail about what you supported previously.

fergie001:

The former DG of SSS, Yusuf Magaji Bichi, has turned an otherwise elite, professionally-run service into a graveyard of career aspirations, an orchard of nepotism and an armed corps of 40 Blantyre Crescent. He lowered the recruitment bar, removed multi-layer screening process to recruit personnel who couldn’t even pass Halogen Security aptitude test.

Bichi arguably recruited the highest number of Cotonou “graduates” into the service. He willfully extended the tenure of some retired directors in his good book for years, killing the ambitions of the aspiring directors.

He allowed his wife to lord over the service, influencing recruitment, promotion and discipline. As a peasant socialite and novo riche, she always oppressed people with a superfluity of everything at the expense of public funds. She moved around in a long motorcade with dozens of Tavor-wielding personnel, harassing motorists. She was a stormy petrel who was majorly in the news for either assaulting her tailor for failing to meet a deadline or picking a fight with opposition politicians.

His impudent, spoiled brat son shrugged off public criticism to gleefully display a fleet of luxury cars on social media. At the expense of public funds, he has a number SSS operatives giving him cover at football arena, nightclub and political campaign rallies.

The new DG should review the cases of detainees, be professional in the discharge of his duty and keep his family away from meddling in the affairs of the service. The service does not only need a factory reset but flushing!

Two people have died after a Delta airplane tire exploded while it was being changed at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

A Delta employee and contractor were killed at the scene, while a third person suffered serious injuries.

The incident occurred in the maintenance area of the airport just after 5am on Tuesday.

Delta TechOps is responsible for the maintenance of all the airline's planes, and Atlanta serves as the global headquarters, servicing more than 200 routes around the world.

It is understood the Boeing 757 arrived in Atlanta from Las Vegas on Sunday night, WSB-TV reported.

Flight Radar tracking data reveals the plane had completed four short-haul trips on Sunday between Tampa, Atlanta and Las Vegas.

The incident comes just months after another Delta Boeing lost its nose wheel while attempting to take off from the same airport.

John Laughter, the President and Chief of Operations of Delta TechOps, issued a note to staff on Tuesday morning acknowledging the tragedy is 'heartbreaking for us all.'

He said: 'I’m deeply saddened to share that three TechOps team members were involved in an accident that took place early this morning in Atlanta... Wheel & Brake Shop.

'Please know your safety and wellbeing comes first – always, and that your leaders are here for you. Please continue to take good care of yourself and one another.

'We’re all in this together, and we’ll get through this by supporting each other.'

Laughter said resources will remain onsite to assist for as long as required, and directed distressed staff to the HR department, while also offering a 24/7 counseling service.

Delta Air Lines said in a statement: 'The Delta family is heartbroken at the loss of two team members and the injury of another following an incident this morning at the Atlanta Technical Operations Maintenance facility.

A pretty Nigerian student's room is making waves online for its sheer luxury. The room is like a dream come true, filled with expensive things that leave visitors in awe.

As soon as you step in, you're greeted by a beautiful bed with fancy pillows and covers. A huge smart TV for entertainment, and the room stays just right with a fancy air conditioning system.

But the real showstopper is the home theater setup! It's like having a cinema at home, complete with amazing speakers. And then there are the shoes, bags, clothes, and wigs—all top-notch designer stuff.

Every corner is designed with a feminine touch that shows off her style. Even the kitchen is not just for show—it's stocked with the best stuff for cooking up a storm.

Adding to the allure, her beautiful portrait hangs prominently on the wall, adding a personal touch to the lavish space. Each element exudes a refined, feminine style, including the fully stocked kitchen for culinary pursuits.

People are amazed, but they're also wondering: How does a student afford all this? It's the talk of social media, with everyone guessing about her secret. A notable absence, however, is the reading table and chair, which seem to be missing from the lavish space. shocked

This isn't sheer luxury... Just the basic stuff in an off-campus residence. The girl could also have come from a rich family for her to have a wide flat screen smart TV in that room.

Seriously since 2015. I've lost a lot, mostly from greed and trying to be rich fast fast. I still make mistakes today, but one thing I fixed is not trading junk stocks and hoping it will go to the moon. The only stocks I will trade for years to come are AMZN, AAPL, GOOG, META, MSFT, NVDA, TSLA

Trading these stocks is like hunting rabbits while I learn to hunt, while the junk stocks are like hunting lions, yes the meat is bigger, but you can lose everything too. The rabbit will never take you out, the lion can.

Thanks for the impressive feedback. Stay safe wherever you are buddy.

I like your ruggedness while on the move... grin
I wish you more safe trips ahead.

The vicious highway robberies have always been there even during the military era back in the 1980s to the 1990s. From the Edo-born Lawrence Anini's deadly gang of armed robbers who drove in Volkswagen Santana's to rob, to the Chadian bandits called "Kwanta Kwanta" who kidnapped people, robbed, killed and raped women as well from the 1980s along the Kano to Maiduguri road, etc, to the criminal activities on the Kano to Jos expressway, and vicious crimes in the South East by Ibo-born armed robbers and kidnappers leading to the setting up of vigilance groups. These crimes that were well reported in the mass media all started in the military rule years and NEVER subsided.

The deployment of attack and surveillance drones, satellite tracking technologies, and well-paid elite SWAT teams from the police, with the death penalty would curb these crimes of armed robberies and kidnappings significantly.

Cheers!

There are two Emures which are Emure Ekiti and Emure Ondo after that you cross to owo. The two Emure were one before the state was divided so the Nysc Emure went to Ekiti and the ending part of Emure after crossing that bad boundary went to Ondo. Well I would be visiting Ekiti next week shaa, my fiancee lectures there.
Wow! Thanks for the information.

I didn't know that Emure is split into two states... I think a boundary adjustment must be done so that the town remains in Ekiti. The situation looks similar to that of Igbara Oke and Igbara Odo in Ekiti and Ondo States that are so intertwined. I've been to Ikogosi Resort in Ekiti West on two occasions back in the early 2000s and we had to pass through the two Igbara towns on the way to Ikogosi. Ekiti indeed has beautiful, breathtaking green rolling hills flowing right into Osun and Ondo States and a lot of money can be made by Ekiti State (and nearby states) from tourism through Nigerian-based and international visitors including the Nigerian Diaspora once the roads are safe and overall security is guaranteed with comfortable chalets and Airbnb accomodations.

I wish you a safe trip to see your fiancee as well and massive success to you in 2024.

All the best!

my own is that they should repair Emure Ekiti boundary to Emure Ondo. Do you know the NYSC camp is close there at Emure...how do these corpers survive?
Indeed. It will be unwise for parents to train their kids through college (Uni) and then have them kidnapped during an NYSC program.

Can you read my post again... I added more information to it.

It's time to introduce drones and satellite surveillance in curbing crimes. Again, those Fulani criminals in the North use Satellite phones to communicate with one another so the normal mobile phone tracking and NIN will NOT work.

This news isn't adding up because I have been to Ekiti alot of times as of 2019, I travelled from Ekiti to Benin regularly. See these two states have boundary in Emure, they have emure Ekiti and Emure Ondo so why is the writer insinuating again that it happened in the boundary while inferring aftermaths that it happened along Ikere Ekiti. Do you really know how far Emure is from Ikere Ekiti? It's not that close because after Emure, you pass Ise Ekiti . Well Between the boundary towns of Emure Ekiti to Emure Ondo is so bad that there is erosion sites there oh.. I travelled from Ekiti to Edo like once every month about 12 times that year. Thank God I wasn't kidnapped in that boundary.
Interesting... Is Emure also in Ondo State? I used to think Emure-Ekiti is just one town.

Second, from the investigative reports I have read over the last 10 years, most of those attacking the highways in Ekiti and Ondo States are indigenes of Kogi State especially the armed criminals among the Ebiras coming in from the Ikenne axis and the Fulani bandits who are interstate kidnappers and armed robbers. One of the Fulani criminals engaged in kidnappings about 3 years ago even spoke the Ilorin-Yoruba dialect to those they kidnapped while traveling along the road connecting Akure to Ado-Ekiti.

Also a significant number of armed robberies used to be committed by interstate armed robbers from Delta and Edo States right in Ondo State in the early 2010s but from reading a lot of crime stories, that subset of armed robbers from Delta and Edo States who have been arrested by anti-crime policemen has dropped.

==================STEPS TO END KIDNAPPING IN NIGERIA===============

1. Give N10M cash reward for real evidence of Kidnappers operations, Protect the Identity of the whistleblower
2. Step #1 ensures that even among the kidnappers, they will tell on each other and trust amongst them breaks
3. Try the Kidnappers at a SPECIAL OFFENSES TRIBUNAL (SOT) comprising judicial and military officers, e get why
4. The trial and appeal MUST BE WITHIN 90 days - and well televised - because Justice delayed is Justice denied
5. Once found guilty - the death penalty must be given, no sentiments - No room for endless appeals after judgement!
6. The execution must be made public to serve as deterrent - HANGING or FIRING SQUAD - just like the days of old
7. Step #6 is to create the visual consequence of kidnapping - the chill of seeing an execution deters criminality
8. Humans relate more with what they see than what they imagine - I recall watching the execution of Anini live in 1987
9. Execution of convicted Kidnappers must happen within 7 days after the final judgement - for quick closure to the victims
10. The reason for step #9 is to ensure that while the story is still fresh, JUSTICE is served - hard and cold!

Before the government spends N1 Billion - kidnapping will be history in Nigeria!!!! - Tinubu and NASS - do this and thank me later cool
I remember when General Buhari's military regime executed the 3 male drug pushers back in 1984, the drug trafficking through the major airport in Lagos disappeared completely.

The lax implementation of the death penalty is what has led to a spike in crimes. Death penalties simply act as deterrents but those civilian Governors have not been signing the death warrants after the courts have convicted these criminals to death.

On July 18, 2023 this Youtube star Annabelle Ham died at the age of 22😢. She was young, healthy and attended a bachelorette party so I started researching why she died at such a young age.

Then I discovered that she died from an Epileptic event known as SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy).

Doctors say patients with uncontrolled seizures are at greatest risk for SUDEP.

So today I would like us to talk about EPILEPSY.

Epilepsy is a disorder in which the nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing seizures.

Epilepsy is also known as: seizure disorder.

Epilepsy may occur as a result of a genetic disorder or an acquired brain injury, such as a trauma or stroke.

In all you do brother's and sister's, please avoid head injury. I know someone who had serious head inquiry almost 20 years ago, he just started having seizures since 4 years now.

Epilepsy Causes
In most cases, epilepsies are caused by genetic factors, traumatic brain injury (TBI), developmental brain abnormalities, infection, stroke, brain tumors etc.

Growing up in Nigeria, I noticed that once someone is having a seizure people would put spoon in their mouth and everyone would be shouting "pour am water" lol.

So how do you help someone epileptic?

1. DON'T put anything in the mouth of anyone having a seizure
2. Don't try to hold them down
3. Don't spray or pour them water
4. Place a soft cloth or pillow under their heads to minimise injuries.
5. Lay them on their left side to avoid spit or vomit entering their lungs
6. Remove tight clothing or belts
7. Take away any dangerous objects around them, eg wires, sharps etc
8. Time the episode, if it lasts longer than 5 minutes, take them to a hospital
9. The person has another seizure soon after the first one, take them to the hospital.

If you enjoyed this post please consider sharing it to educate others..
Insightful.

Food / Re: How To Prepare Ukodo (urhobo Delicacy) by XAUBulls: 2:25pm On Jan 20
Oghene1st:
Ukodo is a yam and unripe plantain dish of the Urhobo people of Nigeria. The Itsekiri people of the Niger Delta also make a similar dish called Epuru. It is essentially a pottage, a stew of meat and vegetable with its base as the Nigerian pepper soup. It is usually used for marriage and burial ceremonies or as breakfast, particularly during the cold season.

It is sometimes cooked with lemon grass and potash. A poem by the Nigerian Chovwe Inisiagho-Ogbe describes both the ingredients and the process of cooking Ukodo in a light-hearted way.

Wadoo!!!! Is it just me or did the weather get chilly all of a sudden. This is the best type of weather for one of my favorite south-south recipes….Ukodo. Usually, this is the type of meal i take and sleep off afterwards under my thick duvet cover while the cold air mixed with the irresistible aroma ukodo leaves the house with brushes through my face and nostrils while i sleep…sweet lazy morning all the way.

Ukodo is typical spicy traditional breakfast native to the Urhobo tribe of delta state in the southern part of Nigeria. It is simply a pepper soup dish which consists of unripe plantain and yam (sometimes cooked with lemon grass and potash), and is believed to be the perfect companion on a wet cold day. The Itsekiris, also of the Niger Delta call their version Epuru while the igbo version is known as Ji mmiri Oku. When preparing ukodo, i usually prefer the use of goat Goat meat or dried fish because it gives it a nice native taste and smell unlike chicken and cow meat. It’s really simple to make as i’m about to show you below.
How to make Ukodo (Urhobo yam & plantain pepper soup pottage)

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: About an hour
Category: Nigerian soups
Region: Niger-Delta, Nigeria

Ingredients:

•3 medium sized plantain “Unripe”

•4 Large Slices yam

•1 kg Goat meat (with intestine & liver)
•2 cooking spoons Palm oil
•1 small bunch lemon grass/ scent leaves
•2 tbsp. crayfish/ dry prawns
•1 teaspoon dried pepper
•2 seeds “Iwo/Erhe (itshekiri) – Dry roast and set aside
•1 seed Gbafilo
•2 Uda Uwentia “Negro pepper” (Simply Uda or Enge) – Remove the seeds & discard
•1 tsp. Ataiko
•1 tbsp Irugege
•2 Seasoning cubes
•1/2 teaspoon Native salt

Directions:

Step 1: Wash the goat meat thoroughly, place in a pot and sprinkle a tsp. of salt and cook for about 15 minutes on low heat. Set aside to later use.

Step 2: Peel the yam and cut into two halves then immerse in a bowl of water and rinse. Peel and cut the plantain into three pieces then – set aside.

Step 3: Place all the local spices (Iwo/Erhe (itshekiri), Gbafilo, Ataiko, Irugege) in the dry part of the blender and grind for a few minutes.

Step 4: Add some water to the pot containing goat meat. Place on the burner and allow to boil for about 5 minutes. Add 1-2 tbsp. of the ground spices, uda, crayfish, pepper and crushed seasoning. Stir and taste the soup. Leave to cook further till you start to perceive the aroma.

Step 5: Add plantain and yam. Add the lemon grass bunch then reduce the heat and allow the ukodo to cook for about 15 minutes. Discard the lemon grass bunch after this.

Step 6: Transfer the Yam and plantain into a dish, then pour the liquid into another plate. Pour red palm oil into a small clay bowl and serve. The palm oil can also be mixed with the ukodo liquid and used to eat the yam and plantain or the yam/plantain could be dipped in the oil and eaten while the ukodo liquid is sipped like pepper soup.
Bump.

It looks impressive.
