FamilyRe: Driver's Wife Delivers Quadruplets In Lagos by xavier047: 8:05pm On Oct 12, 2013
wasak: really? tell me more pls!!!
I get where you are coming from, but then what is needed from you (and all Nairalanders) is a solution and how to educate others on what to do if in such situation. If you take a long look at your post, there is truth in them but a poor delivery of your points. I want to assume the driver did not intend to have quadruplets and reports says they are underweight meaning they will be under intensive care which could increase medical bills. Like I said earlier a solution and advice is what is needed from us all

That's a nice move from the governor..........at least with all the recent crisis brewing within the PDP, he still shows that he has a good heart to stop and listen to the cry of a dying soul

That means that all is not lost for our dear country Nigeria..........out of the dregs will our country emerged a shinning light for every one to see, naija let's be positive

Wow! You're far above 40 and you're this dense? i truly feel sorry for you and your family.

PS: I will die at the ripe age of 75. That's a good age to go when I'll still be able to chew my food. I will not leave while a m0r0n like you is still breathing oxygen.

PS: You may be old enough to be my father (as you claim) but you are not smart enough to be related to me. That's the honest, unalloyed truth cheesy
I have been following the thread on this particular topic and as much as you did hit bull's eye with your view on all police personnel, you might have to accomodate other people's opinion without using harsh words on them. You never can tell via this forum who a NL could be?might be a relative or smbody very close and you have already used words that wil be very hard to retract and as well regain trust.
PoliticsRe: Escape Of Kabiru Sokoto: Zakari Biu Dismissed From Nigeria Police Force by xavier047: 10:55am On Feb 23, 2012
Some twenty-five people lost their lives via one man evil plan and you give dismissal from force to the man who allow the culprit to escape police custody, are we really seriously in sending out a strong message to mad men who are ready to terrorize the country even at the cost of worldly positions. He should be tried and sentenced to 50 years with hard labor at a maximum facility
PoliticsRe: Top Police Chiefs Aided My Escape - Kabiru Sokoto by xavier047: 4:57pm On Feb 18, 2012
We don't need mr Sokoto to tell us that his release was aided by top persons both in the force and government(inclusive of unemployed politicians). Tell or point out this fellows to Nigerians and the world at large. That i fink is the next logical step the sss should pursue and not telling us what we already know

PoliticsRe: Senator Obadara Calls For Diezani Allison-madueke's Resignation by xavier047: 3:33pm On Feb 09, 2012
If her ministry is been investigated for corrupt practises, the government dont have to wait for her to resign,it is either she is suspended indefinitely or given the boot pending the outcome of the investigation. This opinion is based on the fact if the govt are truly bent on eradicating corruption in that sector
PoliticsRe: FG Appoints Nuhu Ribadu As Chairman Petroleum Revenue Task Force by xavier047: 10:28pm On Feb 07, 2012
As much as i want to applaud this appointments by gej, did we all take time to read carefully the responsibilities of the so called task force. There was absolutely nothing about how to get the refineries up and running, cos in doing that we will eradicate virtually all the problems in that sector and also on d long run create employment and attract geinuine investors.

CrimeRe: Mob Lynches Cop For Killing Driver Over Bribe by xavier047: 5:53pm On Jan 26, 2012
Jakumo:
If it is deemed acceptable, though entirely illegal,  for a policeman who shot a civilian to be summarily burnt alive by other civilians, then surely there must be other categories of crimes that the same majority of writers would like to see punishable by instant mob lynchings and the burning to cinders of the accused without trial.

1.  Pickpockets  -  Do they deserve to be killed by screaming mobs of judges, juries and executioners, even if they are non-violent offenders ?

2.  Accused Witches and Weeezards -  Should it be legal to instantly kill anyone who is accused by screaming passers-by of witchcraft, as is common in Nigeria ?

3.   Drivers in Wrecks  - If brake failure results in a car knocking down a motorcyclist, should other bikers have a RIGHT to murder the erring driver ?

4.  Petty thieves  - Do you feel that a starving man or woman who steals  a handful of food in the  market ought to be set alight in front of children ?

5.  Desecration of Holy Books - Would you help cut off the head of a person accused of disrespecting a holy book ?

The above specific instances are cited  because hundreds, if not thousands of Nigerians have met their deaths over the years at the hands of frenzied swarms of ululating bystanders, due to often baseless accusations that the victims committed one or more of the above "Capital Offenses".

So, if you relish the idea of beating to death and incinerating policemen who commit murder in the line of duty, please let the world hear how many of the above OTHER categories of criminal offenders you feel should warrant summary death at your hands, without the need for the culprit to stand trial in any court of law.  Also, if you are an advocate of mob beatings and death without trial, would you change your mind if YOUR car lost its brakes and killed a pedestrian on a Nigerian road while you were at the wheel, or would you gratefully accept the instant verdict of the mob that gathers around your car at the accident scene ?
You were spot on with your analysis and how things are suppose to be done not only in civilised communities but in countries where respect for the law and protection of citizens the primary aim of law enforcers. The question is, does the Nigerian government and (most) Nigerians both have the intention of respecting these laws?
PoliticsRe: Goodluck Jonathan: Nigeria's Embattled President (cnn Special) by xavier047: 12:27am On Jan 26, 2012
GEJ seems weak and as much as he wants to do the right thing, it's obvious that there were more than enough factors on ground ready to thwart his every move and his inability to do the right thing at the right time. Maybe he needs more time, maybe not, he will be judged regardless of any factors come the end of his tenure as president of Naija

@Beaf, telling someone in the uk 2start a protest cos 60% of their tax is in d pump price is not in anyway thesame 2wat we r currently xperiencing. The uk have got d following dat helps cushion d effect of a high pump price: 1:they have consistent power,(meaning small biz can grow,no overwhelming dependency on pms etc). 2:they av got good roads, social and health facilities. 3:the local refineries r working. 4:they av a better security system than ours. I cld go on and on,if Naija had all dis in place, trust Nigerians,we might give GEJ benefit of a doubt.
