If she wants to be a feminist, she should be a matured, responsible, unbias and unsentimental feminist and not the other way round. REASONS WHY CAPTAIN MARVEL WILL BE SUCCESSFUL

Captain Marvel is Marvel's next blockbuster release come 8th March 2019. Fans and audiences are anticipating it. Everyone can't just wait to see this movie. People are already rooting for it to be successful both critically and in terms of box office.
Captain Marvel will be a Critical success not for any other reason but for the mere fact that it is a Marvel/ MCU movie. Marvel/ MCU over the years have been able to establish a brand or a name and any product (Movies) produced under this name or brand must surely be successful in terms of critical review. Check out for example, Antman and the Wasp, one of the most ridiculous and and stupid superhero movie I have ever, that movie was a jumbled mess and catastrophe but it had a critical success. Critics had the guts to call that movie "good". Good? I asked myself when I saw that. That movie was an embarrassment to the word "Good".
Why was Antman and The wasp successful critically, simple, it was a Marvel/ MCU movie, nothing else. It was successful critically because it was produced under an established and successful brand or name, so it had to good. The image and influence of the successful brand or name over it made it's flaws to be overlooked and it's goodness focused on. Marvel obeyed one of the key principles of Successful businesses which is:
"To build a successful business, build a successful brand or a name because a successful brand or name will build a successful business. This is so because people don't patronise service or products, they patronise brands or name, so therefore a successful brand or name equates a successful business and vice versa"

Marvel understands this, that was why they built a successful brand or name in the MCU. This is something i hope WB/ DC comes to know and works on.
So any movie (no matter how wacky and stupid it is) that comes under the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) must be successful both critically and in terms of box office because it belongs to a successful brand or name.
Same fate awaits Captain Marvel, It will be successful critically (even if it turn out to be a mess) because it belongs to a successful brand or name which is Marvel/ MCU, it's a Marvel movie.

In as much as Captain Marvel will be successful critically, it will also be successful in terms of box office, below are why:

1.) It Belongs To A Successful Brand Or Name:
This has been explained above. Captain Marvel is a movie produced under a successful and established brand, Marvel/ MCU, So it's going to capitalise on it's (Marvel/ MCU) success to be successful.

2.) It Will Leverage On The Success And Buzz Of Avengers: Infinity War And Avengers: End Game:
Captain Marvel Is related either directly or indirectly but mostly directly to both Avengers movies, why? Simple, she has a role to play in them, a critical one at that. People will want to see who Captain Marvel is, what she possesses or can do that will warrant her to play a role in Avengers: End Game to fix up Thanos Infinity spells. As a matter of fact Captain Marvel stands as a prequel to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: End Game. So the same success and buzz that trailed Avengers: Infinity War, will trail it likewise the same buzz, hype and anticipation that is trailing Avengers: End Game is also trailing it. So Captain is going to advantaged, capitalise, make use of and leverage on the success (both financially and critically), hype, buzz and anticipation of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: End Game.

3.) It Will Leverage On The Feminist Era:
In human history, we are in the era tagged the feminist era, an era where the movement kicking and clamouring for gender equality is at it's zenith. The call for Gender equality, non discrimination of women, front lining and dominion of women alongside their male counterparts is highly active and on the increase every passing second. Anything that promotes and supports the feminism cause either directly or indirectly will be praised and accepted, that's what Captain Marvel is all about. Captain Marvel is a movie about a women as it's superhero or superheroine, Someone who saves the day, someone who others including males look up to not forgetting she has been tagged one of the strongest if not the strongest characters in the MCU and Marvel Universe. Captain Marvel supports and promotes the equality of males and females, promotes and supports non discrimination of women, front lining and dominion of women alongside their male counterparts. In a layman's language, Captain Marvel Supports and promotes the Feminism cause giving the Feminist more than enough to feed on. Since it supports and promotes the Feminism cause, it will be accepted and praise most especially by Feminist just like Wonder Woman (that leveraged on Feminism for it's success). Captain Marvel will be successful because it's going to advantaged, capitalise, make use of and leverage on Feminism.

4.) The Captain Marvel Personality:
Captain Marvel is an interesting character because, one, she is tagged one of the most powerful if not most powerful character and superhero in the MCU and Marvel universe, two, she is a woman and three, we know little about her.
People are curious and itchy to find out who Captain Marvel is, how she became what she is, why she is one of the strongest in the Marvel universe and MCU, what she possesses, what her abilities are, what she can do, how can she help in Avengers: End Game, how did she become Captain Marvel likewise a half human half kree, who the villain is, how is she going to save the day and why, why what brought the war between two galatia race to Earth. All this and more are people's question regarding Captain Marvel thus her interesting personality. The only way people can get answers to the above questions and likewise no more about Captain Marvel is to go see it in when it releases. This people are ready to do/ will do thus the success.

5.) The Hype:
Captain Marvel is one of the most hyped Movie of 2019 thanks to Disney/ Marvel. Another reason for it's hype are those given in No.4 above.
So dues to it's hype, Captain Marvel is going to be successful because it's going to leverage on it's HYPE.

All in all, I'm hyped for Captain Marvel. I'm a DC fan but a lover of good movies irrespective of studio or company. I must say, in terms of superhero movies, Marvel/ MCU are trying and I give them standing ovation for that.

Captain Marvel will be successful both Critically and Financially. It will gross a minimum of $600M, it might even gross over the billion dollar mark, if Black Panther can do it by leveraging on Black Power Movement why can't Captain Marvel do it by leveraging on the Feminism Cause.

In Summary, Captain Marvel will be a success both Critically and Financially and I can't wait for it, I'm hyped for it tho not as super hyped as I am for Shazam, Avengers: End Game and The Joker. I'm also hyped, although not super hyped, for Spiderman: Far From Home. I hope to see a better spiderman and not the mess I saw at Spiderman: Homecoming.

I'll be shocked if WB does not explore this in future Shazam or DC films.

In the comic books, Shazam was still struggling and Superman played the role of a guide and a mentor.

I love the idea of superman appearing in Shazam but as a supporting or mentoring character? Hell No. I want Shazam to be all about Shazam and his journey towards becoming a hero and not him and some other super hero character.

If Superman appear in Shazam as a supporting or mentoring character then the movie won't be about Shazam anymore but about shazam and superman which is what I don't want because it will kill the originality. Everyone wants to see a shazam movie not a shazam and superman movie.
If Superman is to appear in shazam which I want anyway, his appearance should be a coincidental or cameo or narrative or meeting kind of appearing but definitely not as a supporting or mentoring appearance. I want it to be 100% about Shazam and not about Shazam and any other superhero character.

Talking about Mentoring, Superman doesn't have to mentor Shazam. The Wizard can do that since he is the one that gave Billy Batson his powers, he should also be the one to aid, train, mentor and guide him in knowing how to use his power. That will even be more better compare to superman. The wizard is the one that gave billy batson the power, he knows everything about those powers and how to use it thus he is the one in the position to train, guide and mentor billy batson compare to superman.
Billy Batson needs a mentor, I will be glad if that is part of the plot. To me the best person in place to be his mentor is the wizard, which I want anyway.
Yes, the comics says Superman was Shazam's mentor but we shouldn't forget that when adapting comic characters and stories into live action movies, changes are always been made. The wizard mentoring Shazam instead of superman should be one of those changes.

Superman can appear as a supporting character in sequels of Shazam notably to help him battle Black Adam but in this Shazam movie, he shouldn't appear as that rather he should have a cameo appearance either as coincidental or narrative or meeting like appearances.

Also, I will like to see an older billy batsin in future sequels of Shazam which will be all about when Billy Batson has grown into an adult.

From the look of things Doctor Shiviani will be a powerful, experience and worthy villain.

LET'S TALK SHAZAM

Shazam is DC's next movie as we all know, whether it is a big or average or small release we don't know yet but a movie with a budget of over $150M, it isn't a small movie, it has to be huge.

Reasons Shazam Will Be A Box Office Success:

1.) The Hype:
Shazam is one if the most anticipated superhero movies of 2019, in as much from the look of things WB/DC hasn't started marketing yet, the buzz, expectations and hype for Shazam is high. This is because, this is the first time the character will be appearing in a live action movie. People wants to about him, people wants to see what he has to offer, people wants to see how he behaves and does things, people wants to see if shazam will be different from the ones in the comics, animation or games or he will be the same, people want to know how DC/WB are gonna introduce this character into the movie industry and how they want to depict him, who is Doctor siviani, who is he, what does he want, why is he the villain, why is he worthy to be Shazam's (a godlike being) villian, how will he face off against Shazam, what will lead to it and why, how will shazam stop him, will superman make a cameo appearance in Shazam and the only thing that can answer all these questions and curiosity is a Shazam movie thus the hype.

2.) Shazam Is Bringing A New Dimension To The Superhero Movie Genre Which Is Comic:
In previous times, superhero movies were known to be cartoonish well thanks to FOX for introducing matured contents into superhero movies which we've all come to love. Nobody wants a cartoonish superhero movie anymore everyone wants a matured superhero movie but Shazam is something different, a comic movie, what the hell. Yes, we have lighthearted movies E.g Deadpool, that makes us laugh our brains out but a full fletch comic or comedy movie is what we haven't seen and Shazam from the look of things according to the Trailer is bringing that to us.
So for this people want to see how a comic hero will he portrayed, what will make him different from other superheroes, how will WB/DC handle comedy, how will they present a comic superhero. Those are the questions on people's lips and the only to see or receive answers to their questions is to go see Shazam in Cinemas. Who knows Shazam might pave the way for Comic superhero movies just like wonder woman paved the way for female superhero movies.

3.) It's Gonna Be Source Of Inspiration To The Younger Generation:
Shazam is a teenager in an adult body doing what adult superheroes do, saving the world. What better way to inspire the younger generation, telling them that as kids, they can do what adults do (positive things) and even do what adults can't, it will show or tell them that they can be whatever they wanna be, it will show and tell them that they within them lies potentials which they need to utilize to shake the world, it will show and tell them that they don't have to be big to make impact, they can make impacts even in their small state. This is a movie, parents will recommend and love their children to see even if them (parents) don't like it which I doubt, for the sake of inspiration, they will love their kids to see it.

4.) It's A Film Targeted At Family And Kids:
Yes, Shazam is a movie that revolves around family and kids. A kid is the hero here and this kid is surrounded by his foster family and the way they relate with each other. So it's a film for all family, age and kid. Who doesn't want that.

5.) The Shazam Personality:
Shazam is one hell of a personality. As a matter of fact, he is one of the strongest superheroes in the DC universe, the superhero character that can match up with him in terms of super hero prowess is Superman. Yes, that's how strong and powerful. This is someone that has the power of six gods ( The Wisdom of SOLOMON , the Strength of
HERCULES[superhuman strength on par with Superman] the Stamina of
ATLAS, the Power of ZEUS [including near-invulnerability and lightning powers], the Courage of ACHILES and the Speed of MERCURY [including flight]) in him. Shazam if he utilizes his powers to the max is a super strong unstoppable force.
I know Shazam has been portrayed to be kind of weak and one that receives beat down from Wonder Woman as seen in the animated movies of Justice league: War (gosh, that wonder woman's punch to him was a heavy one likewise a brain reseter, Shazam became reasonable after that punch) and The Flashpoint Paradox. Well that because Shazam is portrayed as a naive being lacking experience and that hasn't fully understand, master and utilize his powers that's why other characters notably Wonder Woman seems Stronger than him. If Shazam becomes experienced and ultimately understands, masters and fully utilize his powers to the max, no hero including Wonder Woman except few like Superman can be at par with him in terms of Super hero/ power prowess and combat.
Apart from his prowess, he has a naughty and humourous side as well, as a matter of fact he is depicted to be the most comic super hero character in the DC Universe. This attributes of Shazam is what's gonna attract people to see Shazam because they want to see and feel him more.

6.) It's Gonna Capitalise/ Leverage On The Success Of Aquaman:
Aquaman Success has really positioned WB/DC and the DCEU at a very positive strategic point which will pave a receptive, successful, established and good platform/ path for other DCEU movies except otherwise and Shazam is going to Capitalise and Leverage on this to be Successful.

The above reasons are why Shazam will be successful at the box office well except the unpredictability of life rears up it's head again. One thing is sure, the minimum box office gross for shazam will be $500M. It might even cross the billion dollar mark, Dearie's, if Minions (a movie about stupid, comic, strange, naively smart and weird small yellow creatures) can do it, why can't Shazam do it. It still baffles me how Minions grossed over one Billion dollar. But the probability of shazam grossing over one billion is slim thanks to Avengers: End Game except they move it's release date after like a month after Avengers: End Game release.

WB/DC should move the release date of Shazam to at least a month after Avengers: End Game. This is because:
A.) To prevent it from being crushed by Avengers: End Game. You can't compare the momentum, hype, fan base, critics support and success of the Avengers franchise to that of Shazam. So if WB/DC know what they are doing, they should move that movie release date to at least one month after Avengers: End Game release.
B.) Releasing Shazam a month after Avengers: End Game which is may will place it at an advantaged point. This is because the next superhero movie which is spiderman: Far from home will be released June or July thus making Shazam the only major super hero movie before Spiderman comes calling. This means after Avengers: End Game, people will be itchy to see a superhero movie which shazam and spiderman: far from home will offer but since spidey's release date is still far off, they will have no other choice but to settle for Shazam and you no what that means. So if WB/DC are smart they will move Shazam's release date to may.

Shazam is going to be a fun movie. I will like the movie to be teenager, family centric, balanced but it's theme such as Comedy felt extensively, matured, superheroic and intense. I also want to she lots of cool, awesome, mind blowing and intense actions/ fights.

I would have love Black Adam to be the villain in Shazam because he is the exact opposite of Shazam heartily but similar in powers. Shazam is a hero, pure at heart and light hearted while Black Adam is a villain in some cases, an anti hero, dark, serious and corrupted at heart. Hus presence will bring balance to the movie i.e balance between lightheartedness and seriousness. His presence will also make Shazam serious because he will be going against a ruthless, dark and serious kind of him so to defeat such person, he has to be serious not naughty but well, we aren't going to be seeing Black Adam as the Villain in Shazam rather we will be seeing Doctor Siviani.

The reason being that they want to give more screen time to Black Adam. They don't just want him to be a come and go character which is understandable beside I can't wait for a Black Adam movie, that movie will be epic. It's going to show who he is and what made him what he is. Something tell me that movie is going to be like the mummy, which is all about an ancient Egyptian powerful coming back to life in the present world.
But there is something we need to get straight here, Villains don't always last long in a franchise, series or shared universe. Their roles are come, cause havoc, be defeated by the hero and boom they are gone. If they are to last long in a franchise, series or shared universe, then they either become heroes or anti heroes or central villain or one of the central villaibs of that franchise, series or shared universe or supporting villains but if Black Adam lasting longer in the DCEU is good for business, so be it.

I heard there are gonna be cameo appearances notably that of Superman in Shazam. Well that's good but I'll love the shazam movie to be about Shazam and not him and some other superhero character. So to me, if there are gonna be cameo appearances of superheroes, it shouldn't be as supporting characters rather as a narrative or coincidental or meeting appearance of those superhero characters.

Shazam suit look great and badass. I read they spent over $1M designing that suit.
For me, I want them to make Shazam's cape a little bit longer and larger. That will make him more superheroic suitingly.

Despite Aquaman's success, I feel this is the time that D.C execs have to be careful. In as much as they didn't interfere in Aquaman's production, they can't afford to do that to all films, except they are going to hire directors with track record like Wan. Also, each movie should have its own tone and not be like Aqman. Batman still needs to be dark and not have this bright colors, but I trust Matt Reeves to deliver.

I concur with you, each movie should have it's own tone base on differences in plot, genre and character. You can't use Aquaman tone for a Batman or Deadstroke or Suicide squad or Lobo movies but you can use such tone for Green Lantern, Man of steel, wonder woman etc movies.

To me, I prefer a balanced tone i.e a combination or blend of seriousness and lightheartedness (because it balances both the serious and lighthearted tone) but the theme of the movie must be severely felt. For example, create a balanced tone movie for batman but let it theme which are darkness, ruthlessness, injustice, hope, brutality, seriousness, fear, violence, anarchy, Justice etc be severely felt. These themes are synonymous with the Batman.
In a balanced tone movie, the theme of the movie determines the angle or dimension the movie moves towards without deliberately or purposely moving it towards that point.

Besides, we still need Cavill and Affleck, they were the best casting for the roles but found theirselves in a poorly written film. And what's up with this excuse that Affleck is too old, dude can still do 2 films, use a third to introduce Mcginnis. Remind me folks, isn't Tom Cruise in his mid 50's and still kicking shii? Warner grow some balls!

Henry Cavil suits the Superman character well, he should continue beside he is still young. As for Ben Affleck, he is good (although I prefer Christian Bale tho) but the problem here is, he is getting old and Batman isn't an aged character, he is a middle-aged character which from the look of things Ben Affleck is surpassing so he can't continue with that role. We don't need an old batman rather we need a middle-aged batman. That's the Batman we know. Bruce Wayne's Batman shouldn't be eliminated from the DCEU soon, that dude is an Icon and a frontliner in the DC Universe and in Justice League and not one Mcginnis. Bruce Wayne's Batman needs more screen time and he should be given that but for that to happen I will love WB/DC to do the below:

1.) Cast another Actor (a young or midde aged one) to play the Batman character in the DCEU
OR
2.) Use a De-aging CGI or Effect on Ben Affleck to make him look younger.
OR
3.) Make sure all Batman movies are produced in the timeline before BvS timeline. With that a young or less middle aged Actor can be casted to play a younger or less middle-aged batman and Bruce wayne. With that they can produce a Batman movie after the timelines of BvS and JL featuring Ben Affleck as the Batman which will depict an older Batman and Bruce wayne like in the Dark Knight Returns animated movie, with that Mcginnis can be introduced as the new Batman after Bruce Wayne since you are so obsessed with that character.

Yes, Tom Cruise is still kicking ass but compare his kicking ass prowess now that his is aged and then that he was young, you will notice they've reduced due to age

All in all, they should be thinking towards this direction and start making plans after WW84.

I Concur, nice point. Man Of Steel deserves a sequel. WB/DC should be working towards that. I will love the Man Of Steel to be about the reunion of Superman and Supergirl and the introduction of Superman into the DCEU.
To me, the plot should be: After the events of Justice League, an experience makes Superman nostalgic and he ventures into space to search for any remains of Krypton or any surviving Kryptonian. After countless searches without discovering anything realated to Krypton, he loses hope but at the brink of that, he meets a shocker, he comes in contact with a surviving kryptonian who turn out to be his Cousin/ Supergirl (a good and detailed explanation should be given on how Supergirl came to be where Superman found her). What follows next are moments of reunions before Superman decides to return to Earth with his surviving kind. Reaching Earth, they find out that Earth is under an attack or facing an attack and together (with Supergirl having difficulties in mastering her abilities and the Earth like environment) they battle and conquer it. Next we see Supergirl trying to adapt and get use to life in Earth.

Lastly each film must be self contained and should noy be an advert for the next film. Minor references should be made to the universe, there must be focus on that character alone, this was one the things that helped AQman.

That can't be done. If that's to be done then the movies have to be independent and not be a part of a shared universe.
Every Shared universe has a general plot and what it's about. Every movie in a shared universe leads to the development of it's plot, so they have to be related or link with each other no matter how little or less just like what Disney/ Marvel is doing to the MCU, that's how a shared Universe works. Every character, teams and movie are related and linked with one another.

If the movies are not linked or related to each other then those movie should be independent on their own. They shouldn't be part of the shared universe rather they should have their own franchise and series.

Overall, Aqman's success has put D.C in a precarious position. It'll be interesting to see the decisions they make going forward.

DC is Dominating the superhero Animated Industry. They have influence in the Superhero Serial and gaming industry respectively but they should strive to dominate them.
