So.. I decided to start my journey as a freelancer this year ( Yet to create an account on Fiverr though). I see these guys advertising Creating Foreign account for a fee.
I'd like to know. Is it that I can't make any sales with a local Fiverr account ( i.e an accounted created with a local IP)?
I'd really appreciate valid response!
Use your local account. Fly your Nigerian flag with pride to avoid stories that touch.
jteku: Boko Haram terrorists have a hard time understanding the jig is up. After losing close to hundreds of fighters in recent weeks some Boko Haram commander figured it was a good idea to attack an army base. The attack underscored the illusion of Boko Haram commanders.
Boko Haram insurgents attacked the base in their classic style. Dozens of fighters attacked from four points simultaneously firing mortars and RPGs, hoping to overwhelm the defenders and overrun the base. Remember this was the same tactics used in their attack on the Gudun Bali base last Friday.
The Nigerian army was not gonna fall for this again. They allowed the insurgents close in on the base before engaging. Call for aerial support was delayed to give the attackers a false sense of security.
Nigerian troops reinforced the base with orders not to fire their weapons and reveal their position. It must have felt too easy because the wary insurgents attempted to set up a defensive perimeter in a village called Arkuma but changed their mind.
Turns out the insurgents had been firing on mostly empty structure all along. Nigerian troops opened fire from well concealed positions up close, making their RPGs useless. In their confusion the insurgents attempted to fight their way out the ambush but were picked apart.
At 6 pm seeing the battle was lost the insurgents attempted to salvage defeat by attacking the village of arkuma. They mounted on 15 trucks and and approached the village from different directions simultaneously to wreak havoc. This was when helicopter gunships swooped low and made minced meat of the convoy. Many who survived the strike and ran towards the village on foot were cut down by snipers.
MUTERIKA: might be village ppl, may GOD continue to protect us and forgive his sins as he joins the late lt
It's important we learn to take responsibility for our actions. What the hell does anything have to do with innocent ordinary people living in the village??
JohnEagle96: any unidentified cars x vehicles moving with out purpose should be dealt with . or bidex111, xbee007,Toju200, is there any method for detecting VBIEDs for soldiers on patrol or air surveilance.
Most of their VBIED are up-armored ordinary vehicles. Since they are mostly deployed in the heat of a battle, it is hard to track them. The best option is for the ground troops to have the necessary equipment to deal with them when they encounter them.
Toju200: I don't think there was something of such vanguard should get more clearer info... On the 9th which is Saturday ISWAP ambush a patrol vehicle claiming 4 lives before proceeding to attack the village in yobe. Later that day Troops ambushed the terrorists and killed 28 with one KiA
If you read the original post released by DHQ, you will realise the army did suffer casualties in the initial ambush. "...and later reinforced by troops from 27 TF Bde Buni Gari and Special Forces Training School Buni Yadi..."
Now, I reckon you'd need more than one casualty to request for reinforcement. It was the reinforcement that dealt the heavy blow to ISWAP, probably because they weren't expecting it.
Anytime, I read of reinforcement in Nigerian Army post, I know something terrible must have happened. So the Vanguard report that quoted AFP is highly likely correct since AFP actually relied on the account of two Nigerian Military officers that claimed 13 lives were lost.

Published on Jan 7, 2021 VIDEO: Nigerian Troops Eliminate 30 Terrorists in Foiled Ambush as Army Launches 'Operation Tura Takaibango'
No fewer than 30 Boko Haram terrorists were yesterday killed in a brutal encounter with troops of the Nigerian Army, PRNigeria has gathered.
This is just as the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, has launched a new combat Operation tagged Tura Takaibango, to tackle insurgents in the North East.
They were neutralized in a bush, during a fierce combat with troops, who were advancing to some identified camps of BH/ISWAP fighters at the Timbuktu Triangle, along kafa and Gorigori axis.
A military source had told PRNigeria, that though the troops encountered some Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on their paths while advancing to the terrorists' camps, they 'deftly' escaped the IEDs unhurt.
"The gallant troops engaged the criminals which led to the decimation of over 30 terrorists," he said.
According to the source, the soldiers destroyed one gun truck, and recovered one anti-aircraft gun, one GPMG, 10 Ak-47 rifles, one hand grenade and hundred of assorted ammunition, from the terrorists.
In a related development, military troops in Yobe State, who acted on credible information, on Wednesday, repelled Boko Haram's attempt to invade Geidam town and other neighbouring communities in the State.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Training and Operations, Maj. Gen. Nuhu Angbazo, who represented Buratai at a press briefing on the launching of Operation Tura Takaibango, highlighted the successes so far recorded in the ongoing exercise.
He urged the general public to be more vigilant, and report suspicious strangers and movements in their communities to the Army or any other security agencies close to them.
